Q: Are the knobs metal?? Or what material
A: Knobs are plastic, not metal. Just look/read the reviews that show the knobs getting melted when you accidentally touch it w/ a hot pan/pot. I know from 1st hand experience as one of our PLASTIC knobs has already had the corner melted.
Q: Does it come with the flat griddle?

Q: Can this cooktop be converted to propane fuel?
A: Yes, and the LP (Liquid Propane) conversion kit is included with the cooktop.
A: Cooktop knobs breaking is certainly not something we would expect to happen and understand your concern. The knobs on this cooktop are electro-plated plastic but they are weighted so they have the feel of metal knobs without the heat issues. We hope this answers your question! Q: Can I install this over GE - 30" Built-In Single Electric Wall Oven ?
A: Yes, this gas cooktop can be installed over a single wall oven. We recommend viewing the Installation Instructions to ensure that this cooktop is properly installed.
Q: Which cooktop is easier to clean--stainless steel or black?
A: To clean the stainless steel surface, use warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Always wipe the surface in the direction of the grain. Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaning the stainless steel surface. The black cooktop will need to be cleaned with a mild soap and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. be sure to rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. When cleaning surfaces, make sure that they are at room temperature and not in direct sunlight. -Don@GEAppliances
A: We would not recommend placing a pot directly on the burner. Placing it over the burner would cause the burner to work improperly. Additional information about the surface burners and proper use can be found in your use and care guide (page 6) on the website.

Very pleased with this product
I just love my new GE gas stove top!! The guys who did the installation were on time and did a fabulous job. These guys were very conversant and knowledge about the product. The price was right, I did a lot of shopping. Looks great next to the new GE double oven we purchased last year. The ONLY issue I have with Best Buy is having to deal with Panama every time you have a question. I dialed the local phone number and I have to speak with Panama, thus the 4 star rating.

Excellent Stainless Steel GE Profiles Cooktop
We recently purchased a new Stainless Steel GE Profiles 5 burner Cooktop to replace our 20 year old one. We are very pleased. It is beautiful and functions as well as it looks. The grills lift up for easy cleaning of the pan area. My wife Loves it and that's what matters most !! I waited until the Memorial Day sale which was a real plus.
