This is our first induction over top and we are impressed with it. Boils water faster, is not hot when touched, has safty protocol to turn its self off if the pot is no longer on it. A few minor things we dont like- the large cooking area wont turn on if the pot is not big enough (minor inconvenience and not sure why the built it that way). Overall we enjoy it and would purchase again.

I looked up on YouTube the reviews and it said this stove is nothing but problems after I purchased it the installers installed it and it didn’t work when they were here. They said I had the wrong pans. I bought inductor pans and it still doesn’t work. it turns on it shuts off. Best Buy is now replacing it with a different brand

It’s the worst. Induction is all about fast boiling, and responsiveness. I tried boiling a pot of soup and it took 20 minutes, and never really reached “high” boil. We’ve had induction before, so we know what it’s supposed to do. I feel bad for people who never had induction and think this is normal.

Be sure to use pans that are recommended for induction, have flat bottoms and match the size of the surface elements. We recommend you review the "Choosing The Correct Cookware To Use" section on pages 15-16 of the Owner's Manual. If this doesn't prove helpful, please follow the suggestions in the "Electric Range & Cooktop - Induction Burners Not Working or Flashing Power Level" support article on GE Appliances website.

Stovetop quality is excellent and expected for being a GE profile series item. It works exactly as intended. It is an induction stovetop which means it needs special pots/pans mainly made of iron or steel to work.

Hello- We appreciate your purchase and are so happy to hear you are pleased with your new Induction Cooktop. This is a great model! Induction cooking uses a high-frequency induction coil below the cooktop's smooth surface that heats the cookware by a magnetic field rather than using open flames like a gas cooktop or heated coils like an electric cooktop. Induction cooking is the only cooking method that directly uses the cookware as a part of the cooking system. If you have any questions about your new Induction cooktop, please let us know. We are happy to help! Joyce@GEA

I purchased a GE induction cooktop for $2,400, expecting a high-quality, long-lasting appliance. Unfortunately, it stopped working in less than two years. Thankfully, I had purchased the extended warranty—without it, I would have had to pay $1,700 just to replace the electronics. We initially bought this cooktop to reduce our gas usage, especially since we have solar power. While it worked, we were happy with its performance. However, the fact that it failed so quickly is extremely disappointing. I assumed these were built to last, but this experience makes me seriously question GE’s quality and design. If I hadn’t had the extended warranty, I would have pursued legal action to demand a replacement or a refund. A premium appliance at this price point should last much longer. This is unacceptable.
