The new float covering for Gopro 9 is such a hugh improvement on the older version. One, when using I can actually see what i'am recording. You can see in the photos, how the old version blocked the viewing window. But the new version does not. They also thought of how the tighting pin would fit, making sure that the form included a cut out for this pin. Luckily I have not needed it to show me it floated yet (besides testing it). But I know that it wont drop to the bottom of the lake or river I am kayaking on. Which this small investment, protects the larger one. If you are using ypu gopro 9 near the water, you need to have this. Mainly for ease of mind. Because when you are diving and swiming to the bottom of a body of water for your gopro, you will wish you had.

Purchased for use in the ocean however I left it on during my vacation really protects damage.

I bought it before my vacation to Hawaii to use for snorkeling. It worked great and fit perfectly. Highly recommended if you have a GoPro 12 and plan on using in the water.

Note: The GoPro DOES NOT COME WITH THE FLOAT. Nor does any attachments. I bought this when I bought my GoPro Hero 10 Black prior to a 4-day kayaking trip as I wanted to make sure it didn’t sink to the bottom of the lake I was going to be kayaking. It’s a tight fit getting the GoPro into, but it keeps it in place so the buttons are still accessible. It’s a bit bulky and WON’T work with the GoPro inside the clear waterproof case. Definitely worth every penny for protecting a great camera.

After my first Hero 12 detached from my floatie stick and fell to the bottom of a fjord, I purchased this before my trip to Mexico. It works great. It is big so touching the screen settings is harder. It does float when attached to the GoPro The Handler floatie stick.

The bright orange color is easy to see from a distance, and the snug fit gives me confidence that the camera is safe no matter how rough the water gets. I’ve used it while surfing and swimming, and it doesn’t interfere with the camera buttons or screen at all. It adds almost no weight, so it doesn’t affect balance or stability while shooting. I love that I can relax and focus on getting great shots without worrying about losing my camera to the depths. For peace of mind and reliable performance, this accessory is worth every penny.

Love this! Using it in Belize were I almost lost my last GoPro, not because the water was so deep where I dropped it, it just shot through the water at an angle landing 20’ away from me in only 5’ of water. The water was crystal clear but without a mask it was very hard to find amongst everything on the bottom, but fortunately I managed. This keeps it afloat and is obviously highly visible. The only thing I would change is the ability to attache the camera from either direction, the depression only allows the attachment screw to come from one side.

If this is just to keep the camera alone a float it works, however, if you plan on attaching it to something it is not strong enough to keep the camera and more afloat. I attached it to my suction cup to the back of a boat. Prior to doing that I put it in the water and it sunk quickly. At least I could see it clearly prior to it sinking. Most of the time I attach the camera to something so not sure it is the item for me.

GoPro waterproofing aside, it will sink and if you don't want to lose your investment, this little cover does exactly what it says it does - FLOAT. Can't miss the color in the water, either. This cover will make your GoPro rise to the surface even under water, so use a strap!

Might be floating overkill when added with the floating handle but really protected well against bumps and bruises. Did not obstruct any buttons but need to remove to access battery.

Excellent cover to not only float, but also offers excellent protection. The bright orange is also helpful for underwater filming and to not lose it.

Easy to insert and remove my GoPro Black Hero 12 and provides the buoyancy needed to prevent camera from sinking. Bright color is easy to see if camera is loose in water

This is a nice addon when using the GoPro in water for that matter even good just to keep it protected. Easy to take it on and off when needed. What I needed to use in the pool.

This is good product !!! It was worked very well. I don't have to worry about my camera drowning. it helps a lot ... You should have one for your activity.

Nice to have for regular swimming and snorkeling. I thought id be able to use over the case for deep diving, but its only made for going on the camera itself.

Easy to use and kept by HERO10 afloat... does exactly what it's supposed to do. The orange color makes it easy to spot when the camera has drifted away!

It keeps my GoPro 10 from sinking, so that's really good! It's also easy to find in the water and it's easy to hold. Totally worth it if you're swimming.

Believe me, if you are going to use your device close to water and you dont have it secured you need this, its durable and has a the color helps a lot, I learned from my mistakes.
