    Great Improvement

    The new float covering for Gopro 9 is such a hugh improvement on the older version. One, when using I can actually see what i'am recording. You can see in the photos, how the old version blocked the viewing window. But the new version does not. They also thought of how the tighting pin would fit, making sure that the form included a cut out for this pin. Luckily I have not needed it to show me it floated yet (besides testing it). But I know that it wont drop to the bottom of the lake or river I am kayaking on. Which this small investment, protects the larger one. If you are using ypu gopro 9 near the water, you need to have this. Mainly for ease of mind. Because when you are diving and swiming to the bottom of a body of water for your gopro, you will wish you had.

    Purchased for use in the ocean however I left it on during my vacation really protects damage.

    Perfect accessory for GoPro 12

    I bought it before my vacation to Hawaii to use for snorkeling. It worked great and fit perfectly. Highly recommended if you have a GoPro 12 and plan on using in the water.

    Great insurance

    Picked this up and it gives me peace of mind every time I’m shooting near water or off the side of a boat. Knowing that if it ever comes loose it’ll float instead of sinking makes it way less stressful to get creative with angles. Easy to attach and doesn’t add much bulk to the camera. For the price it’s a no brainer if you’re ever filming anywhere near water, way cheaper than replacing a camera that sinks.

    Must Have Gear for a GoPro

    Note: The GoPro DOES NOT COME WITH THE FLOAT. Nor does any attachments. I bought this when I bought my GoPro Hero 10 Black prior to a 4-day kayaking trip as I wanted to make sure it didn’t sink to the bottom of the lake I was going to be kayaking. It’s a tight fit getting the GoPro into, but it keeps it in place so the buttons are still accessible. It’s a bit bulky and WON’T work with the GoPro inside the clear waterproof case. Definitely worth every penny for protecting a great camera.

  • Does this make the gopro waterproof? Can I take images under water? OR is this just in case you drop it in the water?

    The Floaty does not add any waterproofing to the cameras. It's designed to keep it afloat while in use around water in case you lose hold of it. However, all of the cameras that this Floaty can be used with are already waterproof on their own down to 33 feet, so you can take underwater photos or videos with them whether you also use the Floaty or not.

  • Can this be used with either the head or chest mount ?

    When used with the Floaty, the GoPro can definitely connect to those mounts, but the range of movement may be limited some so you can't angle the camera exactly as you'd like. If that's the case, there are extension arms and quick-release mounts that raise the GoPro further off of the mount that should give you more room to make adjustments.

  • Does it block the microphonrs??

    It may block some of the microphones, but you should still be able to get good audio even when the HERO9 Black is in the Floaty.

    The HERO6 Black is a slightly different shape and size than the HERO9 Black and later cameras, so it will not fit into this specific Floaty. However, there is a Floaty designed to fit the HERO6 Black.
