First things first. I am a 24 y/o blue collared worker. 210lbs, 6’1, I daily this thing about 9/10 miles to my job facility and back home. 6 days a week! So now the review… I bought this bike 3/4 weeks after totaling my car, instead of a car because the car market currently is garbage and needed something for my light commute. The bikes been pretty good, I bought it on sale for 599 or 699, currently few weeks in. I didn’t put air in tires or anything fancy, out the box, charged and the morning took it to work. Did its job, better than walking and using a regular bike. On level 2 it moves about 10-12 mph depending conditions (road surface) I’m now a month in, taking it thru trails beating it. Having some good fun, not city shenanigans. I’m talking thru the muddy woods and water. Ripping it, tops at 20. Wish the range was a little better, I mean haven’t really killed it from full battery in 1 day. But I just hate remembering to charge it. I’m really happy with the bike tho surprisingly. And as a not paid ad or anything bike is fun and does the job at a cheap rate. No car insurance or anything. With currently 82 miles on it, saving money for a vehicle and getting some exercise. I’d totally recommend. And it folds up, some days wife picks me up and pop right in the back seat or trunk. Battery slides OUT! For convenience charging.

I tried this e-bike by going on street and path and I seem to have no problem with going town to town with this and can be charged until green light then you good to go and the speed is very nice top at 20mph and for the pedal assist can go up to 25mph at least. By going down the hill type of place like that. By go through settings u will figure. And last two things is the e-bike is tough and doesn’t feel weak around metal body, and can fold open and close. be sure take care of brake adjustment and tires you will be good to go.

This bike is surprisingly nice. Its bigger than i thought, which i am glad . Folds up, i can fit 2 of them in the back of my ford expedition pkus backpacks with just the 3rd row down with full use of my 2nd row. They are a bit heavy but i was expecting that. 1. I really like how easy it is for me to fold ( im 52 yr old lady) 2. I love that the battery can come out to charge OR stay in to charge. 3 i love the height. I AM 5 FOOT 3 INCHES on my tippy toes and i can put my feet in the ground if i need to and i feel safe. 4. I really like the integrated break light. 5 this is a zippy bike it goes 20mph easily if you like with throttle or the assist. (which feels faster than it sounds) 6. Comes with a bike rack on the back, which is so useful. I ordered a basket for the back and took the 2 bikes to Acadia National Park this past week. Carried water, snacks, and gear, and felt secure. 7. Headlight is neat too we did take the bikes out in the evening time i felt seen and was super useful. . 8. I like that you can lock the bike with a key so it wont turn on but i also bought a bike lock for security.. ... ok. So i did need help putting it together but this is my first ebike and i just didnt understand the directions or the pictures. Once my dad helped they were assebled pretty quick. .. there are NO GEARS just 5 levels of assist and a throttle. So keep that in mind. If you dont use the assist its like riding a bmx bike from when I was a kid. Which is great on flat or semi flat road, gravel or dirt but steep hills.. you will need assist. If you are old like me. . i kida wished the battery was longer lasting it says 20 miles but we went farther than that on one charge and still have battery left Was a very reasonable price im sure if i spent a ton more it would have gears and a longer lasting battery but overall i am very happy with the 2 bikes. They were easy to use easy to ride great size folds compactly fast enough for my needs. They looked nice, and they were reasonably priced. I would recommend it!

For an entry into E-Bikes, this is a very fun an capable bike. I imagine without the problems I have, it would kind of be perfect depending on your usage. Firstly, setup was not bad, I was somewhat confused with a few things, but I got through it after about an hour. There’s no suspension, which is fine as long as you keep your rides on paved surfaces, gets kind of rough over any off-road surfaces. The seat? Replace as soon as you can, it’s not comfortable at all, due to the lack of suspension, you’re going to feel the pain of it after a few minutes of riding and it’s all around not that great of a seat. The worst part, which could be a problem with my specific bike, was the brakes. They squeal and grind soooo much. I thought it would go away, but it got worse over time. I’ve got over 100 miles on it, still no better. The front brakes pull the tire, so be careful of that if you notice it on yours. Now to the good, it’s snappy, it feels fast enough, it looks great (I like the bmx-ish silhouette, it’s what brought me to find this specific type of foldable), it’s foldable and can be super easily stored in your car trunk, carried inside, or even up stairs if your strong enough (I’m in an apartment and this was another feature I found appealing and currently enjoy). The range is great, I’ve ridden so far away from where I’ve parked that I decided to turn around to not get lost vs the battery dying which is awesome. There’s 3rd part batteries that can extend your range and effectively double it which is VERY good. Unfolding is fast and easy, it takes literally a minute and you can get going right away. The pedal assist feels somewhat an afterthought (although this is my first experience with it), it kind of senses you’re pedaling, then accelerates to a set speed which is fine, but the throttle feels much better. Sometimes you might notice throttling can feel like it has to catch on to what you’re wanting, but for the most part it feels responsive enough, acceleration is nice and can be easily upgraded with 3rd part controllers you can buy for cheap on amazon. I’ve ridden this around some very nice country roads and in literal city landscapes, it’s gotten me out and about a lot more, it’s definitely worth the money, the braking issue may be specific to some defect my bike has, but overall I love it.

This e bike is awesome!! I bought it for my soon to be 12 year old son for his birthday in December. He received it early due to making sure it worked properly in case I had to exchange it. It works great! I even rode it and I’m considering buying myself one. I have a go track stand up scooter that I love but this e bike is really cool. It goes 20mph.. the battery seems to last pretty well. I bought the basket off Amazon and just bought him the e bike helmet.

The Gotrax Z4 Lite has been a great mode of transport for me. Took 5 hours to assemble it up (it really isnt hard to set up) but it was a fun experience. It's quite heavy despite being portable and foldable but I dont mind that. The brake pads are a bit on the weak side; would suggest getting a spare. So far I've used mine for 2 months-ish, and it rides like a charm. Beats spending on Uber everyday if its a close commute. Dont forget to get a helmet (its been a lifesaver for me. TWICE!)

It’s a solid bike goes fast too so be careful when your riding cause if you pull the throttle it will launch and when you peddle as well make sure your hands are off the throttle and not peddling if you don’t want to accelerate goes far I use it to go to school and it’s a smooth ride battery lasts a long time too

a lot bigger than I expected, but it's a good bike. It's important to understand its limitations. So far, it seems it could be used on flat pathways and roads, and most importantly, all are able to ride up hills, but the steeper the hill is, the more power it will take from the battery. So far, I can go up steep hills just using S1 and S2. Something to note is that opening the folding mechanism is a lot tougher on mine So far.

It's spectacular The battery is durable, well, depending on the use. I really liked it because if you run out of battery, it's not heavy to pedal.

This has been a great E bike! I have taking this on many trails. I have had a ball battery. Life is awesome and it’s easy to fold and put away or even to put on my bike rack.

Was looking for e-bikes for me and the wife to ride just to see if we liked them and if they would get used. Came across these and the black ones were on sale so we purchased 2 and so far they have been great. We have put several hundred miles on them and they have not slowed down yet. Would highly recommend for any first time buyers of e bikes

This is a great bike if you are not planning to ride for longer than 1 hour. The bike only has one speed and it is hard to pedal without pedal assist. So when the battery dies you better hope you're not far from your destination. Pedal assist takes getting used to I recommend just using the throttle because the bike will take off on you when it's in pedal assist mode. The brake pads rub on the brake disc so you can hear a wisk even after adjusting the brakes. I purchased it on sale and with Best Buy awards so it was worth the price I paid. But I honestly wouldn't spend more than $450 on this bike. Plus a spare battery is not available for purchase so getting a backup battery to ride longer is not an option. If you plan on riding to the train station to hop on a train then charge the battery at work then this could be a good option for you just try to catch it on sale.

The item is NON returnable at Bestbuy and Customer Service from Gotrax is the worst. It took them 2 weeks to get back to me through email and they claimed that they can’t do anything about the issue and asked me to go to a bike shop to fix, which will cost me another $100-150. After I assembled the bike, both front and rear brakes were not working. front brake kept rubbing the brake disk, I tried several different ways to adjust but no luck. Rear disk keeps having the whistling sound when braking. The battery also has some issues without consistent generating power. I am so regret to buy this bike, now I have to stuck with a non working $650 junk.
