    Not For The Faint Hearted

Extremely intense. One of the most thrilling movies I’ve seen.

    Great Dark Film

One of my main reasons to buy this film is because it has Patrick Stewart, and I saw an interview with him on playing this role of a Neo (Term for the Third Reich post WWII member) leader out to kill these band members. I also like small films like this like 'It Follows' or 'Ex Machina'. From the beginning is sets a tone of these band members just trying to make a living of their music and trying to catch a venue. They manage to get one at some backwoods Neo (Term for the Third Reich post WWII member) club and then soon after they run into trouble and this is where things go downhill fast. A lot of dialogue was well written some parts were better left out or written better. The main actor some of his delivery could have been better, the characters overall are semi interesting but you can actually feel the struggle the encounter in order to escape the club. I did think Patrick Stewart would have a better role in this film but it was more of a shot caller type character., but it still worked. Overall I'd give this film a 7/10 Stewart's with a 4/5 film on the weekend with your buddies who want to see some young people and Neo (Term for the Third Reich post WWII member)getting murdered.

A Rockin' if not Bloody Good Time

I loved Jeremy Saulnier's "Green Room!" Despite the elements that remind you this is a movie e.g. the beautiful cinematography and recognizable actors, Patrick Stewart and Anton Yelchin, the movie presents a palpable sense of horror that feels real because our main cast of characters react as everyday people would to these not so normal circumstances. Yelchin is the only one that feels out of place in this film, but it adds a layer to his character as the musician who doesn't have an answer to the question: who is your desert island band? Stewart plays Darcy the club owner. He's calm and callous demeanor is horrifying when realize that he's terrorizing a group of kids for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Saulnier paces the movie very well balancing tension, quiet moments and action but always moving the movie forward even though the characters spend most of the time backstage in the green room. 4.5 out of 5
