This product is powerful, delivers superb performance, takes 30 minutes to recharge, but is heavier than I expected! The product meets my expectations!

This is very powerful Cordless Blower. With up to 170 MPH using the Turbo option, I can blow gravel off my concrete driveway with ease. Part of my driveway is next to a gravel section that keeps getting all over the concrete. I have 2 other blowers and neither one comes close to the blowing power this one has. If you're looking to purchase one, then I highly recommend this one.

The most powerful cordless blower I've ever used. This thing is a BEAST! Got it on sale for $179.99 with a fast charger plus a 2.5Ah battery. Would do that deal again in a heartbeat. Amazing product!

I love the power this blower has but battery doesn't last long enough for my duties. Good thing i bought the lawnmower & weedwacker thatalso take the same battery ,so i can charge one battery while I'm using another battery .i recommend u get an extra battery if u buy this blower

I've been through a number of battery powered blowers; a couple of 18 volt models which were really only good to sweep a sidewalk with, two more 20 volts that could tidy up a lightly leafed patch of lawn, and a 40 volt the motor of which wasn't much more powerful than the 20's - although the battery did last a bit longer. The Greenworks 80 volt is another animal altogether - the first battery powered handheld that can match the power of a backpack. Unboxing, assembled the unit - which only means clipping the extension tube and nozzle onto the body. The clips were excellent and easy to work as compared to my other blowers which require twisting, turning and requiring some effort to lock in place. Plugged in the charger, and inserted the battery. The unit comes with a 2.5 AH battery, which has 3 indicator lights. Pressed the charge level button, and 1 LED lit up, indicating a 30% or so charge. I noticed when inserting the battery that the charger has a cooling fan which is audible when charging. I came back 15-20 minutes later, and all 3 LED's were lit showing a full charge. I noticed in the sales brochure that any of the Greenworks batteries over 2.5 AH have 4 indicator lights as opposed to 3. The throttle switch is variable, going from a gentle breeze to full on and can be set to hold. It also has a nice light touch unlike my other blowers that require a bit of finger tiring pressure. The top of the handle has a turbo switch which gives a power boost, but there's a cost to that, With a full charge, you'll get about 25 minutes run time with the blower; running it on turbo will easily cut that time in half. But hit the turbo button and you'll immediately feel the unit kick back at you highlighting the power - something I've never experienced in a handheld unit - not even a plug-in. With the battery attached, this is a heavy unit weighing in at 9+ lbs, so you need to be sure you're comfortable carrying it in one hand (think two bags of sugar in a grocery bag) I did notice however that the unit is well balanced. When holding it in your hand with the battery attached, the nozzle drops down to the natural angle you would use when blowing leaves. This is important since if it were level, or pointed to the air, you'd have to apply downward pressure along with carrying the weight of the unit to properly use it. That would get quite tiring on your wrist. It's also important if you're thinking of buying a spare or replacement battery - if you get a bigger one, that will throw off the balance of the unit. One other feature I wanted to mention is the flat stand on the bottom of the unit - so it sits exactly as you see it in the picture. Seems simple, but do you see that on any other blowers? Overall, I'm very impressed with this machine, seems like a quality build, and for sure I'll be checking out the rest of their lineup.

The serial# on the blower doesnt match the serial# on the box . This bothers me . When I purchase a new item I expect it to be new and not tampered with .

Had to return this item to the store. It arrived in a terrible condition, very clearly an open box item that was sold as new. S/N did not match from box to the unit that I received. Very poor quality on Best Buy's part, hard to speak to the actual leafblower when received in this poor of shape when paying for new.

Greenworks’ 80V blower is my first beefy, battery-operated leaf blower and another battery platform added to my collection TL;DR for my frequent followers: Good: Controls (primary and supplemental) Battery / Battery Life (for only 2.5Ah) Charger Bad: Battery connection Meh: Weight distribution Air intake location The Greenworks 80V blower came in a box with the blower, battery + charger and the nozzles. Not that I’d ever try a battery without a full charge, but this battery was just about dead and required a full charge which seemed to take the better part of an hour. While charging, a fan whirred very similarly to my 56V outdoor tool vendor, for which I imagine keeps the fast charging controller cool. Assembly of the nozzle pieces was a no brainer, but inserting the battery, well - it baffled me at first. I tried inserting it but it seemed to stop before the clip caught it and looking inside didn’t show anything blocking it. I lined up the contacts and tried again, still wouldn’t lock into place. After the third try, I resorted to the manual - believe it or not - to insert a battery and it was just that - do what I did, except push REALLY hard and it eventually pushed in enough for the clip to lock it in. Once the battery was connected, dust, dirt, leaves and mulch bits went flying. The trigger allows you to pull all the way for full power or back it off a bit to be a lower wind speed and less invasive. There’s a pretty cool thumb lever that lets you set the speed and leave it there, dialed to how high or low you want it. Or, when you think you need a bit more power and you’re already on full, hit the turbo button for some more air movement. As someone that doesn’t do much with a hand-held leaf blower, a strap could be handy and there’s an eyelet for what seems like a blower strap, but I couldn’t find one on their website. I’ve used it to clear out my front corridor, clean up a cabana after a birthday party and some other miscellaneous chores and I’ve been able to do all of it on a single charge - lots of high speed usage and the turbo button as well! Overall, the blower is fine and here are a few ‘rookie’ observations. The plastic at the bottom is pretty rigid and not very refined compared to others that I’ve seen - at least online. Also, I found myself using the side of my leg after a bit of continuous use and that’s where the air intake is, so the placement is a bit ‘meh.’ With the lightweight nature of the blower, a heavy battery at the back might not be the best location; an underbody mount might have made more sense. Recommended? Yep!

Great tool. It really blows hard! Battery recharges inside of an hour. Lasts long enough to blow off gutters, deck, and driveway. Plenty of power, easily variable with the ergonomically comfortable buttons. Not as load as gas or electric. Not too heavy and well balanced. Fully recommend.

This is by far my favorite yard work tool in my arsenal. I’ve been cleaning up my yard now since the pandemic started. So this Greenworks Leafblower 80 volt 730 CFM Blower is perfect for my needs. It is battery operated, so now I am no longer tied to a power cord that can get tangled or in the way. This one has a 80v 2.5Ah battery with charger that takes about 40 minutes to fully charge. It is stated to have about. 60 minutes of runtime when on high power, and toggling from low to high for about half and hour, this still had a lot of juice left. The beauty about this Leafblower is the speed that this offers. It has a very powerful jet fan that provides great speed in blowing debris out of the way. It is slated at 170 MPH of high velocity speed and I believe it, as I saw all the debris and dust flying out of the way. The handle has both the variable trigger from low to high, and can be on a “cruise-control” where you can have your thumb off of it and just allow it to blow. There is a turbo button at the top to provide that high-power when you need it. The handle is very comfortable to hold, and really enhances the overall experience. I was surprised at how light this was and my arms did not feel to tired when using this to clean up my yard. Because of this Leafblower, I now want to get other products from Greenworks.

Great power - at least as good as my old gas blower, but with more control, less noise, less mess, less smell. It's a bit of a shock to have it go silent in between blowing things instead of that constant rumble - a nice surprise. Because you don't have to worry about starting a motor and letting it get warm, etc. I find myself picking it up to do a quick 5 minute blow, so things stay a bit more managed anyway. Super easy to use. I bought a second battery (bigger) and have never run out of power. The charger is fast, so by the time I am done with one battery the other one is ready. My only gripe. As some others have mentioned - this was clearly an open box item sold as new. I complained about it and they gave me a small refund. Since the unit actually looked fine this was a good solution.

LOVE, LOVE LOVE THE BLOWER. HOLD ON TIGHT, BECAUSE AT FULL STRENGTH THIS BLOWER COULD KNOCK IT RIGHT OUT OF YOUR HANDS ON FULL THROTTLE. ONLY DOWNSIDE IS IT IS A LITTLE HEAVY AFTER AWHILE

It, probably, would not be fair to compare this to our current leaf blower - a >20 year old Craftsman which has the air moving capacity of a hair dryer. This Greenworks certainly has the power to blow a mouse out of the garage. (I didn't mean to and felt kinda bad afterwards.) He did go zooming off to the bushes when I stopped so no animals were hurt in the test. I think. That wasn't even using the turbo button -- could probably roll a chipmunk with turbo engaged. The power switch is infinitely adjustable and there is a lever to hold at that setting so you can save some battery by using only as much power is needed for the task. Speaking of battery: The runtime so far has been more than an hour of constant use with a recharge time of less than an hour. Pretty happy with that. At first, it was a little disappointing that there are no accessories included (other than a charger). But then it is likely that the accessories would never be used. Overall, it is a kind of expensive cordless blower but absolutely worth the cost.

We’ve only used this item 3 times since buying it less than a month ago, so I can’t speak to long term reliability. But it sure made cleaning up after a hurricane a breeze (sorry for the pun). This unit is much more powerful than the corded unit it replaced. We also have the hedge trimmer that uses the same battery, so it’s nice to have that backup. The rheostat thumb switch makes adjusting to lower, steady air speed very easy - allowing us to blow leaves out of the landscaping without also blowing out all of the mulch. The only drawback is the battery - which is powerful and lasts a long time - but the tradeoff is that it is heavy. You may want to invest in a shoulder strap if you think you’ll be using this for more than 15 minutes at a time.

The Greenworks blower is fairly lightweight, very powerful and very easy to use. No more pulling a "start cord" 100 times to get a blower started. The battery lasts a very long time. I do recommend getting an additional battery to charge while you are using the blower. This way, we are never without a charged battery. This is a great product. Highly recommend. 5 strong stars!

I gave this a 4 star review, as the battery does not give you 60 mins of run time. I got maybe 25 mins max off the new battery that came with the charger. Maybe there is a trick to get 60 or close to it, but I'm using it only on normal mode (not turbo) and I had to charge the battery twice to get the 60 mins as advertised. Besides that though, the blower is amazing. Like others have said its a little heavy if you're using it for longer periods of time, so I'll likely get a strap for it. None came with it, although there is a hook - not sure why they would not have included one. The convenience of picking the blower up to do either a small job after mowing the lawn or a bigger job like blowing all the fall leaves off your driveway - its perfect compared to a backpack. I'd recommend this to anyone but having a few spare batteries on hand is good, as you don't get 60mins off a charge.

Hello LonnieB. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. The battery runtime will depend on the load that is put in the unit (i.e. Turbo Mode), user runtime will roughly range from 30-40 min runtime, and with the Turbo Mode engaged, between 10-15 mins. Generally, lower speeds are best for light-duty tasks like blowing leaves off flower beds or clearing dust from a garage. Using lower settings also helps preserve battery power. Higher speed settings are for heavier tasks like blowing wet leaves, clearing debris, or quickly sweeping larger areas. Some models have turbo boost modes, which offer maximum power only while you’re pulling a trigger (this is helpful for stuck-on debris, like a few wet leaves at the bottom of a pile of dry leaves). To extend your run time, try using the blower setting on a lower speed when high speed is not a requirement, as blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with Greenworks 80V batteries; please keep in mind, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be. We hope this information helpful. Bought this based on my experience with the 80v push mower. This leaf blower works great and have found a couple other uses as well . Works great to clean out gutters. Good for moving powder snow . Drys off a car quickly. Got about 20 minutes of run time with multiple uses of the Turbo option off and on.
