A great transfer of an awesome classic. Be warned parents, this movie isn't for kids. Great retrospective included on the 4k disc.

A Classic animation feature from the Golden age of Classic rock. Well worth watching!

Bought this movie in store came with wrong discs. Im going to start checking the movies i buy from best buy in the store. The employee made it seem like i stole the movie.

Probably the coolest animated movie of all time. Certainly the one with the best soundtrack. I mean come on, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, and that Don Felder title track? Chef's kiss!

The Heavy Metal 4K Blu-ray looks great but as far as the soundtrack goes I've heard better......a LOT BETTER. I saw this new in the theaters in 1981 and was expecting to be blown away with the music. For some reason the sound was dialed down quite a bit. Years later the this same issue translated to DVD, Blu-ray and now 4K Disc as well. Sure...I could always turn up the volume but considering how the soundtrack is at least 50% of the movie - should I? I was hoping that with the 4K this issue would finally be fixed but sadly, no. I'm happy to have HEAVY METAL in 4K but my recommendation is with reservations.

One of the greatest movies of all time. The options to be able to download it to your pc is nice as my laptop does not have a blue ray player. Disc was easy to navigate and the viewing experience was top notch. I love this movie.

Best picture quality you're likely to get on this one (but still has that early 80's grain to it). The animation is kind of janky but the soundtrack rocks. My family has been randomly spouting off about "my Loch Nar" for weeks since watching it last.

I was extremely surprised to find this on the shelf! the sound is worlds better than the original. visuals are enhanced as well, what an amazing classic!

Been looking for a 4K UHD version of this animated movie, even though I have the blue_ray version. A definite for physical movie collectors.

Outstanding Classic! The 4K disc made things seem to appear, as if i'd never seen the film before (although i have probably watched it more than 10 times)

An absolute wonderful experience for an animated film you will love it and the rock and roll soundtrack is one to add to your collection

This transfer of Heavy Metal in 4K is dazzling, s much depth in picture quality. The vibrant colors pop off the screen and the soundtrack was awesome.

The movie itself is quirky but fun. Really purchased for the sound track.
