I’ve owned the Heybike Alpha since Christmas 2025 (about 7 months now) and have been using it regularly for rides around my area in Southern California. It’s a capable mid-drive fat-tire bike that delivers good power and value for the price. The 500W Mivice mid-drive motor with 105 Nm of torque feels strong and natural, especially on hills. The torque-sensor pedal assist is responsive and makes climbing much easier without feeling jerky. Real-world range has been solid — I typically get 40-60 miles depending on PAS level, terrain, and how much I pedal. The 680Wh battery is removable and convenient to charge. The 26x4” fat tires provide excellent stability and comfort on roads and light trails. Hydraulic disc brakes are powerful and give good stopping confidence. I also like the color display, built-in lights, and rear rack for carrying light loads. One thing worth noting: out of the box I had to spend some time adjusting the P-settings and PAS magnet to get everything working optimally. Once dialed in, it’s been reliable with no major issues since. The customization options are a nice plus if you like tweaking performance. A couple minor drawbacks: it’s on the heavier side (around 72 lbs), which is expected for a fat-tire mid-drive, and the suspension fork is basic but adequate for most riding I do. The throttle works for low-speed assistance but is limited (as is common on these to protect the drivetrain). Overall, this has been a great bike for the money. It punches above its price point compared to many hub-drive options and handles a mix of commuting, errands, and weekend rides well. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for capable mid-drive performance without spending premium prices.

if I could give this bike 0 stars I would. Had a flat took one nut off the other nut wouldn't come off, the axle was slightly bent. Weird size axle so i had to buy a complete wheel. To remove the rear wheel, I had to remove the rear derailleur to take the rear wheel off .Now after putting the rear wheel back on the speedometer doesn't work. 113 miles and I got a $1600 lawn ornament.

Loved the bike in the beginning but I have had it less than three weeks and the gears and chain already need replaced. I do ride quite a bit. 500 miles in 3 months
