About this product
Vinyl LP pressing includes digital download. Hinds' breakout debut Leave Me Alone (2016) was an album of party anthems drenched in metaphors. Follow-up I Don't Run is the Madrid-based band's return with an honest reflection on a period that changed their lives beyond their wildest imaginations. Co-produced by Hinds and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor), and engineered by Grammy winner Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Perfume Genius, The War On Drugs, John Legend), the record shows a bigger, better, faster, funnier, more dexterous Hinds. With this second even more accomplished LP they continue their quest to own their narrative - one of sisters doing it for themselves. Album Tracks 1. The Club 3 17 2. Soberland 2 45 3. Linda 3 34 4. New for You 3 26 5. Echoing My Name 3 36 1. Tester 3 54 2. Finally Floating 4 06 3. I Feel Cold But I Feel More 3 51 4. To the Morning Light 3 41 5. Rookie 3 13 6. Ma Nuit 4 17

2020 . Each time they take the stage, Madrid-bred rock band Hinds create a kind of wild magic, a feel-good free-for-all often complete with synchronized dancing and giddy crowd-surfing from the members themselves. While the band s first two albums channeled the euphoric energy of their live show in their gorgeously punchy take on garage-rock, their latest full-length adds entirely new texture to their sound. Produced by Jenn Decilveo (The Wombats, Ben Platt and Anne-Marie), The Prettiest Curse finds the band letting their imaginations run more freely than ever, even as they share some of their most emotionally heavy material to date. The Prettiest Curse takes it's title from the sometimes-daunting experience of giving your soul to rock-and-roll. In the making of The Prettiest Curse, Hinds devised a brilliantly unpredictable vocabulary for communicating their most painful feelings. Unfolding in frenetic guitar riffs and buzzing basslines, powerful drumming and delicate piano work, the album endlessly delivers massively catchy melodies and vocals that growl and sigh with equal ferocity. The effect of all that unrestrained expression is fantastically dizzying, made even more so by Hinds constant back-and-forth between their native tongue and English. Album Tracks 1. Good Bad Times 2. Just Like Kids (Miau) 3. Riding Solo 4. Boy 5. Come Back and Love Me <3 6. Burn 7. Take Me Back 8. The Play 9. Waiting for You 10. This Moment Forever

A fresh chapter takes soft, sure shape for Cape Town-based singer-songwriter Wren Hinds on his new album, Don't Die In The Bundu. A gleaming set of gently dappled and poetic songs about fatherhood and fortitude, the album roots it's restrained strength in an innate understanding of what matters most to us InchLet's get back to the heart of things,Inch sings Wren, sounding out a statement of intent. His first three albums were exploratory snapshots of possibilities and influences. The songs of Tragedy Hill and A Thousand Hearts resemble dreams of the music from Wren's childhood - The Everly Brothers, The Carter Family and The Beach Boys. On A Child's Chant for the New Millennium, Wren longs for connection in a world tilted towards digital disconnection, counterpointing the shadows with luminous artistry. Recorded at a timber cabin in the South Peninsula mountainside, about 40km outside of Cape Town, Don't Die in the Bundu is at once a natural evolution and a statement of commitment, embedded in it's title. InchThis album and the underlying theme are definitely about making it through the hard times, and that strength and resilience is indeed somewhere at it's core.Inch Richly subtle, deeply inquisitive, Don't Die in the Bundu illustrates Wren's preference beautifully. Album Tracks 1. A Song 2. Wild Eyes 3. Father 4. Chasing the River 5. A Wasted Love 6. Restless Child 7. Dream State 8. The Garden 9. Gilded By the Sun, Silvered By the Moon 10. Razor Wing
