This TV has truly impressed us and been a great addition to our home! We got this for our master bedroom, and we have been thrilled with how truly complete of a package you get with this TV. The Roku smart TV features are excellent and make navigating through our favorite applications like Disney, Paramount, and Apple a breeze. The visual quality and screen are truly remarkable at this price. The antiglare of the screen is totally accurate and really cuts down on the glare from the afternoon sun coming through our windows compared to our glossy and highly reflective panel on our OLED screen TV downstairs. The 4K MiniLED panel is amazing and honestly produces vibrant and color accurate pictures out of the box. I really like the dynamic screen mode available in the settings that uses smart features to choose what screen setting should be on. This allows for a nice bright cinematic mode to be selected on shows like Bluey (a favorite of the kiddo while we are upstairs doing chores together) but also dims and flattens the picture on a low-power mode when we just have Spotify open listening to some music. This is a nice set it and forget it setting that is a lot more in line with our use case for just some casual TV watching upstairs. I will say that the MiniLED does not hold a candle to OLED in terms of producing true black on the screen, but this also is substantially less expensive by nearly half in some case than comparable 55” OLED smart TV’s I have looked up. All but the pickiest of viewers are going to be plenty content with the excellent 4K imagery this MiniLED panel can produce. A real stand out feature that I was thrilled about out of the box was the excellent audio quality. While I think the Dolby Atmos certification gets thrown around way too much in product marketing (e.g., tiny ultralight laptops that get Dolby Atmos certification, haha), this TV has actually delivered some really good, room filling audio that is more than capable of delivering a great listening experience. I am truly in no rush to want to even consider buying a soundbar with this TV, so that in many ways just makes the price all the more worth it as we can keep our setup simpler and our bank account fuller! Another commendable aspect of this TV is that it turns on IMMEDIATELY when you hit the power button! I mean it is just, instant, ready to go! My 2021 OLED TV downstairs is great but in comparison feels like a slug now compared to the user interface of this TV. When setting up the TV, one needs to keep in mind that this is a true smart TV, so you will want to be prepared to do some account set up and password entering to use the full scope of the smart features. I didn’t find a clear way to bypass this process after first turning on the TV, but I also didn’t look that hard as I am no luddite and enjoy using apps and smart features on my media devices. The only criticism I can offer is less about the TV itself but more about the Roku software. When you are listening to Spotify on the Spotify app built into the Roku software, you cannot navigate to any other app without closing the Spotify app and consequently turning off the music. This is just a tad bothersome but truly is hardly even a problem at all and in no way is worth altering my star score, I just wanted to reach to find something I could critique on this TV. Altogether, this TV has been wonderful to own and the 55” screen is perfect for us in terms of not being gigantic in our bedroom but having the features we want to have an all-in-one, plug and play package for our needs. 5 out of 5 stars!

My first experience with the Hisense brand was with the 55" Class U6 Series Mini-LED OLED UHD 4K Smart Fire TV last year so I was curious about this option just to see if there was a huge noticeable difference in the series for the "regular" tv user. On the surface the Hisense 55" Class M7 MiniLED Series Hi-OLED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV looks identical to the U6 Series I already have until you actually power it on. The interface is completely different since this one is powered by Roku. If you're a fan of that interface you will love it and be familiar with it. Preference wise I'm not a huge fan but it's not a deal breaker...I just prefer the Fire TV interface. The important stuff is how the tv actually performs and so far this one meets most needs that the average viewer would want. Setup is pretty simple with the expected time to log into smart features and apps you plan to use. There was a firmware update available immediately but it loaded pretty fast. Colors pop and image quality overall has been excellent for this price point. It's not going to be on the level of a true OLED screen of course but won't disappoint most users. Watching sports and playing PS5 games have not suffered with the refresh rate so no complaints from anyone in the household. Overall, I am pretty happy with this tv.

The Hisense M7 is an affordable mini-LED TV with Roku built-in. It has thin bezels around all sides and a relatively thin frame that is uniform in thickness. The M7 is also surprisingly light. The 55-inch model weighs less than 30 pounds, making it light enough for me to move around by myself. It’s also light on ports, as it only features three HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports eARC, plus an ethernet port, optical audio out, one powered USB-A port, and a coax antenna/cable input. If you use an HDMI soundbar for Dolby Atmos effects, you’ll be left with just two HDMI ports for devices. I was excited about this being a mini-LED as I’ve been blown away at how good mini-LEDs can be without the burn-in risk that comes with an OLED. However, this TV didn’t give me the same "wow" factor that I get with higher end mini-LEDs. I even put it side-by-side with a 55-inch midrange LED TV that I have from 2021. In most cases, the older TV with its full-array local dimming looked just as good. I guess I was expecting a bigger improvement after five years, especially with the move to newer technology. Don’t get me wrong, the M7 looks good, just don’t expect the mini-LED label to provide a significant leap over the TV it is replacing. Color is vibrant, 4K content is sharp, and overall contrast is good. It gets plenty bright, making it a great choice for those who will stick it in a bright family room or game room. It also has one of the best anti-reflective coatings I’ve seen, effectively diffusing light when I pointed a flashlight at it while my other screens did not. This and the wide viewing angles I observed are something you usually don't see on a lower-tier set. Roku is one of the better Smart TV ecosystems, as it has virtually every major streaming app available and is not tied to a single manufacturer of TVs. The Roku remote is the same style we’ve seen over the past decade, one I’ve always been a fan of, making this instantly accessible to anyone who has used a Roku in the past. The Roku experience has been fast, although it did freeze up on me once, requiring me to unplug the TV from the wall. Updates will also come from Roku and the app developers themselves instead of the manufacturer giving me confidence the software will hold up over time. Gaming on the TV is ok. As an entry-level model, it only has a 60Hz panel. It does support VRR and ALLM but doesn’t really offer anything you won’t get on many other TVs from the past couple of years. Anyone wanting to experience gaming at 120Hz or higher will need to move to a higher-end TV in the Hisense lineup. Pros: - Good overall 4K picture - Roku is fast, simple, and has excellent app support - Dolby Vision support - Lightweight - Excellent anti-reflection treatment - Bright enough for well-lit rooms - Good viewing angles - Apple Airplay support Cons: - Mini-LED performance falls short of higher-end sets - Only a 60Hz panel - Just three HDMI inputs - Wifi 5 Overall – The Hisense M7 is a very good affordable TV, particularly for someone replacing an older entry-level set. I think most people will be very happy with this TV and the value it brings.

This TV is outstanding for the price. The picture is exceptional for the price point. I have it on my back porch and it gets brighter than I would need and almost no glare. Colors really stand out and blacks are darker than I expected though not perfect obviously. Whatever AI upscaling they have incorporated really work. It's basically a hands off approach unless you want to deep dive into the menus and manually adjust things which I seen no need to do. Sound quality is better than average for a budget television. It supports all the popular HDR and audio options though a 60hz refresh rate will still limit some gaming quality. They make better models for this. As far as the operating system everything is fast and setup was a breeze. I prefer Google TV just based on familiarity but the Roku software is essentially the same concept. The home screen isn't that important overall anyway and the menu controls are easy to access. This set gets almost all positive reviews online and I can see why. For the average person this is everything they would need. With values becoming harder to come by this is a very good deal.

Hisense - 55" Class M7 MiniLED Series Hi-QLED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV (2026) Model 55M7SR This TV is to replace an older Hisense 4K with a Google interface. I prefer the Roku interface and was excited to see the improvement in picture quality with the Mini LED QLED picture. Out of the box, the setup was straight forward and smooth. Legs went on easily. The rigid foam on the edges helped when you had to grasp the edges of the screen and didn’t want to apply too much pressure to the screen. Powering on presented the standard questions for language and Wi-Fi setup which was easy. An update was needed and it loaded and installed quickly. Remote is the standard Roku remote with straight forward keys and good response when entering Wi-Fi information. Since I already had a Roku account all I had to do was enter my email on the TV, wait for the email, open it, and the TV downloads my information, and is set up with all my apps and preferences. Very slick. Sound on the internal speakers is great. Loud and adjustable with several presets for more treble, more base, and levels for voice enhancements. Setup asks you to connect all your HDMI items and power them on. It does a good job of finding them and asks you how you want them labeled. You can back up and repeat this step if you don’t like your settings. I have a Bose soundbar, connected it to eARC, and the TV found it easily and knew the model. Using the TV for several hours I really liked the greatly improved picture. Trying different channels between Streaming and off my cable box showed how well the TV keeps the color and picture very consistent over different sources. Color is vivid and VERY bright out of the box. I had to set the Picture Mode to Standard which was right for my room. I also found the Eco Mode which it comes set to, was somewhat annoying as it dimmed some scenes and brightened others. Not bad, but made me think there was problem with the TV which there wasn’t. Restarts of the TV (powering on) is very fast compared to my old Google interface. Matter of fact the whole interface and switching modes is fast and predictable. Screen is great for minimizing glare in the room. I like that. Plus it looks great when off with a smooth satin patina. The TV produces very little heat after being on for several hours. There are a Plethora of settings to customize your TV. One feature with the Roku interface, is the ability to have choices for how the TV comes up on restarts. Meaning when you turn on the TV later do you want it to go back to home, back to the last source, or to a specific input. Another feature is if you are listening to streaming music, you can actually shut the screen off by hitting the * (asterisk) key and bring up a side bar with a lot of picture, sound, and sleep timer options including shutting the screen off. Conclusion: Excellent TV with a great picture, and excellent price point. It offers many options for sound and picture with a simple remote. I really can’t find a negative for this TV. Its interface is quick and can set to your preference’s or be bypassed if you prefer. I would highly recommend this TV.

SUMMARY: Great Screen. Great Value. Good solid build. Even surprisingly good sound. Is it the best? No. You can spend three times as much and get about 10 or 20% more in some circumstances. This one is bright. You won’t have second thoughts about the money. You could do a lot worse. The one thing is that it is Roku based. Which most people love. Some don’t. But it offsets that by being Apple Airplay compatible right out of the box. PROs: - 4k, great details, bright and vibrant colors that pop. - Direct backlit LED sounds like marketing but really does improve the picture. - Supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLGTwo. It’s all about the picture. - AI works in the background to scale up old content in an impressive way and also tweaks the picture of even the 4k content. - Solid lightweight build, perfect for a smaller room. Great anti-reflective coating for sunny rooms. - All the expected smart tv bells and whistles with all the major streaming services. - Apple Airplay support. One of my favorite features. Great for sharing. CONs: - Wifi 5 seems outdated these days, but eh, works fine for me. A MATTER OF TASTE: - Roku platform. Arguably as good as it gets, and customizable, but some prefer other platforms. I did hook up an Apple TV with no problem through HDMI to test my wife’s preferred system. - The speakers are so good on this TV it’s the first I didn’t feel the need to immediately hook up a sound bar. - Physical set up is a breeze, but be prepared for a number of accounts needing to be set up. - ‘Only’ 3 HDMI ports… which is a problem if you want to hook up 5 devices, but maybe then you should consider a more expensive set. - 60 Hz refresh screen, fine for movies, but hard-core games demand 120 these days. MORE WORDS. Seeing is believing. Tv’s are getting smarter, but at the end of the day how is that screen? This one is a great, bright, vivid screen with a reflective screen that outperforms more expensive tv’s in a sunlit room. The amazing sound is icing on the cake with this TV. The AI does improve picture quality over a variety of different inputs that used to mean making changes in hidden menus. I enjoyed that. WHO IS THIS FOR: Want a guilt free (as in good value) decent sized tv for a dorm room? Bedroom? Or perhaps want a screen in a sunlit room and want a good, bright, reflective screen? A great screen to watch movies on? This deserves your attention. If you want a gaming screen for your three different consoles and computer, you might want to look elsewhere. FINAL WORDS: I grade on a scale. This is great value for the money, a solid 5. Compared to more expensive options, it’s a four. For my needs which is mainly watching movies and news it’s a 10.

When looking for a secondary tv for a bedroom, office, or smaller rec space finding a screen that offers top tier picture quality without an enormous footprint or price can be tough. This 55 inch Hisense hits that ideal balance, giving you the premium screen quality usually seen on larger living room panels in a size that fits comfortably on a more compact stand or wall mount. The picture quality immediately stands out thanks to the Mini-LED and QLED combination. In a dimmed or completely dark bedroom at night the black levels hit that deep black level rather than turning that cloudy gray color common on cheaper panels. At the same time, it has plenty of brightness to cut through afternoon sunlight coming through window blinds without washing out the colors. Watching movies before bed or catching a weekend game looks extremely sharp and fast moving scenes remain crisp and clear. Roku being built into the tv makes late night viewing completely effortless. The remote is simple, responsive, and doesn't clutter things up with extra buttons. Finding your favorite streaming services, adjusting the sleep timer, or switching over to a game console takes just a second or two. The software stays fast and snappy which is a huge plus when you just want to turn on a show without fighting a sluggish menu. The built in speakers are also fairly solid as they produce clear and intelligible dialogue right out of the box which is perfect for a bedroom where you likely don't want to run a bulky soundbar setup. It also includes all the necessary ports along the side and back if you do decide to plug in a gaming console or streaming stick. For a bedroom or secondary room where you still care about having a high quality picture, this television delivers well above expectations. It is a fantastic upgrade that makes evening movies or shows before bed a great overall experience.

I recently received the Hisense - 55" Class M7 MiniLED Series Hi-QLED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV. This is my first time using this brand and I'm impressed. It came packaged well so no worries about damage. The instructions were straight-forward and the set-up was a breeze. I was surprised that the TV is as light as it is given the size. It feels like it weighs around 30 pounds (too lazy to look up the actual weight) so it is easy to move. It is lighter than the TV it is replacing. I like the 55" size which for me, as Goldilocks likes to say, just right. The legs went on easily and are sturdy. My only disappointment with the TV itself is that there is only one USB-A port but that just because, again, I'm lazy and used to the convenience of two ports. This is my first time experiencing the Roku TV smart system. The menu is easy to navigate with the apps prominently displayed and easy to find. So far no issues with figuring out the remote. The sound is crystal clear and for old ears that's important. The picture quality is amazing. The colors are rich and the picture is crisp and vibrant. I'm quite impressed with the anti-refective/glare-free screen which proved itself given the room where it is set up. Sun and light comes in from every angle yet there is always a complete picture and not the clear to hazy to grayed-out screen that happens when light interacts with a screen directly. The WIFI connectivity lends itself to smooth, stable streaming and is frankly more responsive than my laptop. The refreah rate appears fine but I didn't try any graphic heavy games that rely on that. This is proving to be a smart choice in the decision to upgrade.

Hisense makes great budget TVs that come with good features and look great. It's hard to be disappointed. There range is wide and they do have higher end TVs for their brand. Overall, I recommend this TV for anyone looking for good picture quality, flexibility, aren't too concerned about longevity, and are using any type of sound supplement. This is not a main room TV. It's a bedroom, garage, backyard patio, etc type TV (especially given the extra anti-glare). Location: Guest bedroom and Outdoor/Patio This is a feature packed TV with almost every option you can think of. I'm not sure a lot of it translates to an improved experience, but Hisense went all out with this. I particulary care the most about airplay. I will say, I prefer to buy an AppleTV and contact that to all of my TVs over the native software. For the purposes of really testing it out, I used the Roku setup as well. In the long term, I prefer not to connect my TVs to the internet. Roku: This is pretty standard amongst so many smart TVs. You can basically get any app on it. I am not a huge fan of the interface and feel like it's slower and more prone to hiccups overall. Generally speaking, it's fine. Picture quality: It's really 10/10 at this price point. Having it outside with significant glare was not an issue. The anti-glare works and the brightness compensates well. It does decent for dark scenes but this isn't the TV that is going to give you rich and clear night/very dark scenes. I really enjoy it for watching any and all sports. I do think it does a good job at upscaling lower quality images. Sound: This is the biggest deficit. Flat sound, no richness, and no depth. This is not a surprise. It can get loud for the outdoor but you will compromise sound quality. I think even the most basic supplemental sound will enhance your experience greatly. I now use a nicer portable bluetooth speaker for the sound. Connectivity: No issues over WiFi, if any, it was because of the distance from the router. No one really cares for 5 HDMI ports anymore, but this comes with 3 which is plenty for me. Overall: this is a no brainer TV at this price for a guest bedroom, outdoors, etc. My caveats are above and Hisense isn't always known for their overall quality and long term durability. Combined with the sound and still slightly buggy Roku interface, I don't think this qualifies as a 5 star TV. It is definitely 4-4.5/5. Would recommend considering.

We got this to upgrade the kid's TV from an older roku smart TV. The size of this TV is great, not too big and not too small. We didn't have to buy a bigger TV stand or anything like that so that was a bonus. The TV legs seem sturdy and weren't too difficult to put on. Setup was fairly quick and easy with this TV. Very similar to other brands we've had in the past. We were able to get logged into all the streaming services and the remote setup was familiar to the kids as they've used a roku TV and google TV in the past. They like the roku channels so that was something we wanted to try to keep for them with the app. The TV is thin without feeling overly fragile. We do have the TV in a room with room darkening curtains so we haven't really had issues with glare. The colors are rich and settings are easy enough to change if needed. I think the sound quality is good, it's what I expect after owning other hisense TVs in the past. No issues with watching movies or switching over to a gaming console. Packaging was nice and there were no issues with shipping. All around this is a pretty good buy for the money and what you get. Definite upgrade from past TVs that were not MiniLED. I think once you get an LED TV it's hard to go back to anything else.
