I work as a facility manager at a high school, so I am used to lifting heavy equipment and installing a TV, but getting this 85-inch TV set up in my home was definitely a two-person job. The metal feet feel sturdy enough and have a nice spot in the back to tuck the wires away, which keeps the install looking clean. Once we turned it on, the first thing my girlfriend and I noticed was the brightness. It gets incredibly bright, making colors look vibrant and punchy. While the blacks are deep, I did notice some light blooming around subtitles in dark movie scenes. The sound is surprisingly good enough, and I haven't hooked up a soundbar yet because the built-in subwoofer has decent bass. I really like that all four inputs on the back are high-speed HDMI 2.1 ports. I have 2 gaming consoles, and this makes switching between them easy, without moving cords around to get the benefits of HDMI 2.1. The remote lights up, which is handy at night. I got it during Black Friday; the value is hard to beat for a screen this size at that price. I took off a star because the screen handles reflections poorly if a lamp is on, and fast motion can look a bit blurry.

The Hisense 85U75QG is a great gaming TV for anyone who wants a huge screen paired with bright HDR+, vibrant color, and console support. Setup was a breeze. With the QR code setup with the Google TV account connected to your google account it logged you into most things and sets up Google TV instantly. Dolby Atmos and the 2.1.2 multi-channel surround sound it immerses you in sound like a movie theater but at home or on set of a film! My brother thought I had a soundbar connected to the TV. The native refresh rate panel up to 165 Hz has changed my gaming, with The AMD Freesync Premium Pro and Low latency mode, it makes sure I am never late and I don't miss anything or movement in the shot. AI Upscaling has been amazing with connecting it to my gaming console, the fast paced fighting scenes and with clarity even while in motion, I can see every since detail of the action. It delivers a sweeping cinematic gaming experience with every HDR option, including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR 10+Adaptive, HDR 10, HLG and Advanced HDR by Technicolor. My favorite feature is the AI Chroma Light Sensor because of the auto brightness and color temperature adjustment, it's best in any light, from bright overhead lights to sunshine, it is always a peak performance. If you want a big, bright, colorful, immersive display for console gaming, this tv is absolutely a top choice and one of the best values. Easily the best thing I bought for my new house.

Upgraded to this Hisense Mini-LED TV recently from an older LED model and the picture improvement is immediately noticeable. The local dimming creates really deep blacks and bright highlights that make HDR content pop, especially during movie scenes with dramatic lighting. The 165Hz gaming performance is smooth and I haven’t experienced any noticeable input lag when playing fast-paced games on my console. The anti-reflection coating works well in my living room which gets afternoon sun - much better than my previous TV that became almost unwatchable during certain times of day. The QLED colors are vibrant without looking oversaturated, and the AI upscaling does seem to improve lower resolution content though it’s not magic. However, the backlit voice remote has been somewhat disappointing - the voice recognition works inconsistently and sometimes doesn’t respond to button presses on the first try. The Google TV interface is clean and easy to navigate, though it can be a bit slow to load apps occasionally. The Dolby Atmos audio from the built-in speakers is surprisingly good for TV speakers, though I still prefer my soundbar for serious movie watching. The WiFi 6E connectivity has been rock solid for streaming 4K content without buffering. The four HDMI 2.1 ports are great for connecting multiple gaming devices without having to swap cables. The AI features mostly stay out of the way and seem to adjust picture settings appropriately for different content types. For the price point it’s a solid TV with excellent picture quality, just be prepared for some minor software quirks and remote responsiveness issues.

I am thoroughly impressed with this television. It was so fast and easy to set up, download and install apps, connect to gmail, google, wi-fi, etc. It is extremely intuitive and simple. For someone like me, a bit technologically ignorant, I experienced absolutely zero complications or troubles! Installation was not nearly as difficult as feared. We installed it ourselves. It took three able bodied adults. Two to manage the weight of the television and one to steady it and act as a “spotter.” From unboxing to mounting took less than 20 minutes. There are so many things I love about this television, it’s a little difficult to know where to begin the compliments. The first thing I noticed was the immediate response to the remote. There is absolutely no detectable delay between keying into the remote and the TV reacting. It doesn’t matter whether it is hitting the power button, adjusting the volume, changing channels or scrolling social media. It’s the type of performance I’m accustomed to expecting from my smart phone, but not my television. Speaking of the remote… It’s beautiful! The backlighting is an absolute game changer when watching TV at night or in low lighting. And, the voice guidance actually understands my commands without repetition! Obviously, the next thing I couldn’t help but notice was the remarkable picture. I expected good reception and a nice picture. I was not expecting such extremely clear, crisp and sharp presentation from such a large screen, even up close! Characters often appear as if they could be life size and right in the same room with me. I’ve started watching the podcasts I used to view on my smartphone from this television. I get so much more insight from these interviews by really being able to fully observe slight facial expressions with ease on the large screen. The sound is much better than anticipated. When I read the description prior to purchasing, I saw that there were 2 speakers. I erroneously interpreted that to mean they must have skimped in the sound department and had planned to connect a sound bar and surround sound system. Welp, the sound is actually rich and amazing and I will not be adding any enhancements at all. There is a built-in subwoofer and the volume is perfect for me at an average daily listening level of 15. It will go to 100 without much distortion, but I have no desire to play it at that level unless, perhaps, I decide to reminisce with a VH1, "I Love the 80's" series. Read less

I have been searching for an 85 inch TV for about a year and a half and I am glad that this ended up being the winner. The image is beautiful for such a large TV. It is gorgeous with vibrant colors and crisp contrast. The black levels are rich and inky which is perfect for scary movie nights. Did I mention it was big. Like really big. I am transitioning from a 100 inch projector and, despite being 15 inches smaller, it feels bigger and the picture is night and day difference. I love watching in a room with the lights on. The reflections are minimal and does not distract except during the darkest of scenes. I would recommend that you have it professionally installed as it is a massive unit and can be very difficult to maneuver into place. Sports look amazing. The refresh rate makes everything crisp and clear and the size adds to the sense of immersion in the game. Speaking of games, images are amazing and run incredibly smooth. There in no noticeable lag but I am not an avid gamer. The sound is good but if you want the movie feel I would recommend an external sound system like a sound bar or surround sound set up. Set up was pretty straight forward and went smoothly. I like the Google TV system for the smart features. Downloading and setting up the apps was relatively easy. I am very impressed with this unit and is the rest of the family, especially the kids! I am very glad that I did my research and settle on this unit.

I set this TV up in my basement for my man cave, and it has completely changed the feel of the space. The Hisense 85" U7 Series MiniLED QLED delivers a picture that immediately grabs your attention. The brightness, clarity, and color accuracy are outstanding, and the MiniLED backlighting creates deep contrast that really brings movies and sports to life. Dark scenes look richer without losing detail, and daytime scenes stay vibrant even in a well-lit room. I also use it for PS5, especially FIFA, and the 165Hz refresh rate makes a noticeable difference. Movement is incredibly smooth, and the responsiveness adds a level of immersion I wasn’t expecting from a TV this size. It handles fast action without blur or lag, which has made gaming even more enjoyable. The interface is quick, organized, and easy to navigate. Switching between streaming apps, inputs, and picture modes feels seamless. The built-in sound surprised me with its clarity, especially for dialogue, which comes through cleanly even during action-heavy scenes. The only thing I would point out is that this TV is huge, so it really shines when you have the space for it. In my basement setup, it has become the centerpiece of the room. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and would confidently recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment or gaming experience.

When it comes to TVs and monitors, I am very particular, and I typically stick with only a couple of major brands but I wanted to try something new after seeing this set on display at several retailers in my area. My other main TV is an OLED, but I have wanted to try out Mini LED QLED, and let me tell you I am not disappointed. I was looking for a true upgrade not only in clarity but I also wanted something bigger for the family room in our basement, so I opted for the Hisense 85U75QG. I have seen this one on display at several stores and it always caught my eye. I can tell you that it is even better in person! Setup was breeze and the remote feels great; very high quality. The motion handling/clarity is outstanding, and the color depth is right there with OLED. Having a 165hz refresh rate is awesome as I sometimes like to do my PC/console gaming from the couch. The interface and apps are very snappy and the colors absolutely pop; the brightness is outstanding. I would recommend this TV to anyone that is looking to take a leap into a newer technology or is simply looking for a true upgrade at a reasonable price. I am looking forward to showing this off to friends and family over the holiday season!

I will preface my review noting I game on my PC monitors, and I always use external sources for audio. The largest panel TV I've owned is a 75", and getting my hands on this 85" Hisense U75QG model was exciting. As a competitor to the more well-known brands, I really wanted to see what Hisense brings to the table. This is also the first Google TV I've owned. The home screen is clean and organized. The apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, all easily accessible. I also have cable in addition to the streaming apps. There are lots of settings to navigate through, and you can fine tune the video and audio to your personal preference. As of this review, other than setting the picture to standard mode, and turning on Intelligent scene, I have not fine-tuned and tweaked as that will come in time with more usage. My comments regarding picture are based on out-of-the-box (fine tuning will be done). I watched some Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and all worked seamlessly. I sit approximately 9' from the TV. The screen feels like a mini movie theater, not having to scan left/right, but filling up my watching area. I chose Avatar:The Way of Water to provide commentary to my watching experience. It's a 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos movie. I tested the TV speaker for this review, and without question it's the best audio from a TV I've ever heard, and I'm picky about audio. Full sound, decent bass, clear. The picture quality is really good for this size seen up close. The color looks quite natural. The TV was set to Warm1 temperature and Dolby Vision IQ. I changed Warm1 to Standard which looked a tad better to me. Several items like local dimming were currently unavailable to adjust, and I will dive in further to settings when fine tuning. Action scenes were clean, and I could not identify any motion blur or stuttering. The blacks are much better than I expected, and didn't see much, if any, blooming. Doing this review basically out-of-the-box, I am really impressed with this Hisense TV. There are plenty of settings to enhance color, brightness, etc. From where I sit, I am happy just as it is, if I choose to be lazy. For an 85" MiniLED TV, I feel this is a great value. If you're looking for a larger TV that performs and doesn't break the bank, Hisense does the job. I highly recommend this TV.

This is my first Hisense product, and I’m genuinely happy with it. With the World Cup around the corner, I decided it was time to upgrade the TV in the living room. I replaced my old 75” TV, which I’d had for nearly nine years, with an 85”, and the difference is incredible. The setup was easy. I used my phone to get everything started and then installed all my streaming apps simple and seamless, all from my phone. After a week of use, the picture quality has really impressed me (it reminds me of my son’s OLED). The sound is great, and the Google TV interface is simple and intuitive. I watched a soccer match, and the smoothness of the motion really stood out. I also showed my son an old soccer match from the 1980s, and Hisense worked magic with its AI upscaling. Watching that footage on an 85” screen with that level of clarity was mind-blowing. Another feature that impressed us was Filmmaker Mode. It truly feels like watching a movie at home. He’s planning to connect his console to play video games, and if he loses, he won’t be able to blame lag. I’m still planning to explore more features, like Alexa, but so far, I can confidently say that Hisense is doing great things.

This television is a fantastic display that delivers beyond my expectations, making it an awesome multi use TV for not only gaming but for watching sports with the family. The immediate standout feature is its phenomenal brightness. This set produces an incredibly bright picture, which is perfect for well-lit rooms and daytime viewing. It handles direct or indirect sunlight beautifully, maintaining picture clarity and vibrant colors even when conditions are challenging. In terms of physical performance, the television’s screen manages ambient light sources extremely well, which is a challenge for me with windows on all walls facing the TV. While it is true that if you actively try to seek out reflections, you might see a ghost of them, the screen's sheer brightness is the perfect mitigation. Once you are focused on the content, the intensity and clearness of the picture completely overpowers any potential distraction, making reflections basically invisible during viewing. For gamers, this model is a huge step up that fulfills all requirements for max performance on the Xbox Series X. The automatic switching into dedicated Game Mode removes any complexity or fumbling of settings when starting the Xbox, allowing you to jump straight into the action effortlessly without having to dig through menus. Another feature I love on all the screens I game on, is the Game Bar feature, which provides customizable options like an on-screen crosshair—a clear advantage for first-person shooters—along with other useful tools. The smooth transition of alternative inputs and high-end specs ensure it’s always going to look great without having to manually adjust anything, a huge positive to my gaming experience when I just want to sit back and relax. This TV has awesome features that are usually in higher end television with user-friendly convenience, making it a truly exceptional centerpiece for any living space. It offers premium, bright visuals and a responsive, streamlined gaming interface that helps this giant display act like it can perform with the big dogs.

The 85 inch screen gives you the feel of sitting at a movie theater. The subwoofer attached to the TV does a great job and I don’t even need a sound bar immediately, and easily fills the room. It also adjusts automatically according to the content being displayed! So AI does its job without interfering! Have gotten through a couple of smooth firmware updates! The refresh rate and the game mode makes it a decent choice for games. There’s an energy saving mode and, the custom brightness options which features full local array dimming makes it a high end purchase at a great value. Google TV integrates well into the system. The HDMI 2.1 ports are super helpful. The dynamic colors are great and it balances out the darkness pretty well! Setting it up is not bad at all and has got a very steady base attached.

I can honestly say that I am truly impressed by Hisense. At first when the opportunity came around to test out this TV I was very hesitant, because to be honest I had never really had bought or tried out any Hisense tv and wasn't really sure how it was going to be but, the colors, the brightness, operating system and how fast it responds has really left me speechless, plus it’s an 85 in TV, who wouldn't love that. One thing that stood to me the most was the sound quality. This TV has the best sound quality that I have experienced in quite some time. The picture quality combined with the sound just makes the experience of watching anything just so much better. One other feature that stood out to me was the google ecosystem. Being a Hisense TV, it also features Google TV which can be added to your google ecosystem, meaning if you have any google smart home products, they can easily be controlled from your TV. You can access your google camera and even see who is at your front door right on your TV. In all honesty, I am very pleased with my purchase, from its stunning picture quality, being able to experience a movie in theater quality picture and sound to being able to control my smart functions in my home right from my couch, doesn’t get any better than that.

First things first...going from a 65" to an 85" brilliantly lit display is awe inspiring! I could not believe how big this thing was, but it fits perfectly into our home. From the moment we began setup we could tell this was going to be something nice. Without much fuss, we had a beautiful picture in just a few minutes. The menu is very intuitive and easy to find any setting you may need. The tv is plenty bright so it will fit nicely in a well-lit room and the mini leds immediately make the picture seem nice and crisp and colors just pop off the screen. The sound coming out from this thing is amazing on its own, I didnt feel rushed to get my audio system connected. Hisense did an excellent job creating a built in subwoofer and up firing speakers to give you amazing sound....AS IS! This is my first Hisense purchase, and I feel like they are really closing the gap to the competition. We are very happy with this TV and look forward to lots of gaming and movies in the future....Highly recommend!

Our Big TV has arrived today from BestBuy and the TV is elegant with crystal clear display. We are upgrading from a 65" to 85" tv , this is a great move. The moment we opened the package, the display made is so special. I have been looking for a TV like this and found the right one finally.Have to mention some features we loved the most , the display has been clear with 144Hz refresh rate , I watch a lot of sports and this felt like the best choice. Coming to the sound , I feel like I don't have to connect a 3rd party audio system. My son is into gaming and he loves it the most. It has the top notch display. We highly recommend this !!

We have had this TV for a few weeks now. It replaced an older 65 inch model of a different brand. I was a bit concerned that 85 inches would be too large for our living room, but it is the perfect size. The screen is clear and sharp. The sound is also great. There is a small sub built in. While it does not produce thumping bass, it does add a better low end than most TVs i've heard. The remote is very nice and backlit. It feels premium. We have watched regular TV, Sports, movies and played video games. The TV excelled in all aspects. The TV is Google ready and the remote is voice activated. It works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great TV at a good price.

This brand gets so much unnecessary hate when it is a known and very popular brand world-wide. That being said, there is different models from entry to premium. This 85" U7 is up there and with good reason. Unboxing and set up was easy, very premium look. Straight forward linking to google account which makes using it much easier. Picture is amazing coming from an LG, this has that beat by miles. Colors are spot on, bright and vibrant. Blacks are near OLED level, dont fall for lies saying it would never compare. This tv really does. Sound is great but like many i opted for a surround system for a theater like viewing. Owned for over a month and no issues or regrets. I am glad i went with HiSense.

My new Hisense TV is a massive 85 inches with incredible color depth and fast refresh rate which is great for gaming but the feature above all others that makes this a winner for me is the responsiveness of the user interface. When navigating the menus of all the built in video apps the system responds immediately to buttons on the remote. My last TV from another brand was a nightmare with delays. The volume took 10 seconds to respond after turning on the TV which was always a great surprise in the morning after ending the night with a loud movie. Not the Hisense U7! The built in video appsprovide a world of content and the google OS is very user friendly and has support for basically every app you could imagine. Casting and streaming both worked great and the sound quality is much better than I expected. The bezel is thin and looks great mounted to my wall. All in all I love this TV and am super glad I switched to Hisense.

The TV was easy to install and easy to navigate through the menu. The picture quality, clarity, and color of the picture is great. The actors in movies seem to stand out more on the screen. When using the game mood, the game did not pause to catch up within frames. It was a smooth transition between scenes in games. It was easy set up and log back into the applications I previously used. I would recommend this TV, because it is a easy to navigate and an find additional streaming services. I was able to link my google account to make picture sharing easy.

For context, this is my first non-OLED TV purchase in the last 6-7 years. I'm a huge fan of how clear those TVs are in terms of contrast, black levels, etc, so I was skeptical of the Hisense Mini-LED technology. I can say that I'm a huge believer in Mini-LED and Hisense! We actually replaced our 65 inch OLED with this TV and the entire family LOVES it! The black levels are really good for a non-OLED panel. It's not on the same level, but the closest it can possibly get without true self lit pixels. Colors are fantastic, PS5 gameplay is great, and the OS is really snappy. There is no lag from the remote to the TV so navigating the TV OS is great. We even went as far as removing the Apple TV device and repurposing to another room because the built in OS is done really well. 10/10 would recommend to purchase!

I like to say that i dont usually make reviews on product specially tv in particular because i thought tvs are just the same, same entertainment etc. but when i purchase this 85 inch hisense tv class U7 series MiniLED QLED smart google TV. i was amazed by the quality of it. first off its huge compare to the previous tv we had, second is the resolution its very vibrant , and you will have the option to adjust the brightness etc on the tv however you like which is a plus! but not its optional anyway. the remote is way better than my old one. i like the lighting effect on it when you touch it so you will see the right button when its dark. and yes its smart tv . i like all the features on smart tv. got everything i need . i also can do voice command . its easy to use! the speaker of the tv is exceptional. it has loud and clear sound. which really you dont need to add soundbar to it. i just like the quality of this tv. just the small hiccup was i cant download the spectrum tv app on this. which we really wanted because we are watching football game. but option would be is you can have roku stick which i do and connected it right away and finally got spectrum app on it., or other option would be just cast it from your mobile phone to the tv . anyway overall i am enjoying this tv. my husband and kids is happy on this purchase.
