About this product
From Vetlanda/Malmo in Sweden, Honeyboy Slim & the Bad Habits delivers their own rock & roll that is spawned out of the classic rhythm & blues of the fifties and early sixties and lifts off from there. The band was formed in 2010 and has previously released one full-length album, several singles and an EP. Though above all they have acquired a great routine through countless gigs around the world, from Lofoten in the north to Spain in the south, from small towns around Sweden to Las Vegas in the USA. With the new self-titled album they return to the energizing rhythm & blues that's the common denominator that brought the band together in the first place, and which have become the band's trademark through the years. The album contains nine original songs as well as a cover of InchFor You BlueInch, originally written by George Harrison. The album largely plays it straight. Innovative it is not; fervent, toe-tapping and alive it is. Let the good times roll! Album Tracks 1. Let It All Hang Out 2. For You Blue 3. Built for Speed 4. Bark But No Bite 5. Snake Eyes 6. Gotta Keep Searchin' on 7. Country Boy 8. The Breeze 9. Go Get That Gat 10. All I Want Is to Get Stoned

Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition. 'A Distant Shore' is a much loved indie classic. Freshly mastered at Abbey Road Studios with new sleeve-notes penned by Tracey, this 2024 edition is a beautifully presented reminder of the album's elemental beauty. Released to critical acclaim on Cherry Red back in September 1982, Tracey's debut solo album is full of engaging, melodic tunes and heartfelt lyrics delivered with her distinctive warm vocals. Recorded for just £138 in a studio in a garden shed when she was a 19-year-old first-year student at Hull University, it is an astonishing demonstration of Tracey's songwriting talent, stripped down to vocal and semi-acoustic guitar. The LP was released during a fertile period in her early career, when she was also playing with the group The Marine Girls and just about to embark on a life-long musical and personal partnership with Ben Watt in Everything But The Girl. It's stark minimalism made it stand out from the crowd, and the album remained on the Independent chart for many months. To this day, 'A Distant Shore' remains one of our proudest achievements here at Cherry Red Records. Album Tracks 1. Small Town Girl 2. Simply Couldn't Care 3. Seascape 4. Femme Fatale 5. Dreamy 6. Plain Sailing 7. New Opened Eyes 8. Too Happy 9. Lucky Day (Demo) 10. Another Bridge (Demo) 11. Even So (Demo) 12. The Spice of Life (Demo) 13. Fascination (Demo)
