I love it it's a great product I highly recommend this item we suffer from allergies and this item helps out a lot . I couldn't imagine not having this product

The AirGenius 3 is mostly the same as the AirGenius 5, I actually like the AirGenius 3 a bit better, I never used the timer on my AirGenius 5, I also never turned on the accent lighting, and I did not prefer the touch style of buttons that the AirGenius 5 has. I had my AirGenius 5 placed on a top shelf, so that I had to reach up high to turn it on, the power button on the AirGenius 5 is a standard button, so it was easy to press the power button to turn it on, but the speed changing button being a touch sensitive button, I had to sort of remember its location, and changing speeds was sort of a hassle with no physical button to feel and press. Having had the newer AirGenius 5 and now the AirGenius 3, both have had a strange smell fresh out of the box, it was either a new plastic smell, or maybe a new motor smell, it is a bit annoying, but the smell does eventually dissipate. This line of Honeywell AirGenius air filters, is indeed effective and requires no additional purchase of costly Hepa filters, it does require a regular effort of cleaning the electrostatic filter and the foam pre-filter, but if you are the type of person who does not like to buy hepa filters and you have the time to clean the Honeywell filters, then this should be a good air filter for you. I clean the Honeywell filters in the shower area, I have a shower wand that has the adjustable water flow, I turn the flow onto a concentrated setting and the water on high, and the flow of water is all I have ever used in cleaning the Honeywell filters, of which I leave the pre-filter in the back cover and flush the dust back out the way it came in. I would suggest to never use really hot tap water when cleaning the AirGenius filters, just medium warm water, as I have had plastics crack from the sudden flow of hot tap water. Overall this is a great air filter that is quite effective. Who knows, maybe Honeywell will improve this product in the future and add a remote. Even with the inconveniencing strange odor when this product is new, I feel as if it is still one of the best air filters on the market today. The most important factor in me designating this to be one of the best air filters, is that it is made with a ball bearing motor.

This is my second Honeywell Air purifier. I have an older version drum shaped air purifier and it is still working after years of 24 hour a day service. This new Genius 3 is much quieter than my older one. I like how it also oscillates. I was having some mold issues in my house and it seems to be helping with that. What I especially like about this one is the main filter is washable. Only the carbon filter needs occasionally replacement. I keep this one in my bedroom, so I get clean filtered air throughout the night.

Honeywell air Genius 3, 3FD-300 unit is great for my bedroom room cats like. Have it in my room where my two cats stay most of the time. Within days, no congestion. Less dust and my cat with allergies doesn’t have any congestion anymore either. Also takes all odors out on high. Has washable outer filter or odor filter and washable Hepa inner filter. So no filter cost. Oxalates 90 degrees. Auto shutoff if it moves. Really quiet, almost noiseless on low at night. Wish I’d bought earlier. Fan on high very strong enough to circulate and cool in summer

I'm happy knowing it's cleaning the air for me to breathe better. The ease of cleaning the filter is a plus, so I don't have to buy more. If you check the filter after 3 months you'll see the mess it's catching. Our older house has a lot of dust and having this air cleaner is good enough to make me feel better about having it. I got it about $100 off (deal of the day) and it's worth my health... Woooo!
