Immortals of Aveum is a great majic shooter and will certainly be looked at as a single player hidden gem on PS5 im the future. If you enjoy fantasy settings and single player first person shooters youll enjoy this game, it has a lot of Bioshock vibes

It has some interesting ideas, but it really just feels like a standard FPS with weapons reskinned to look like spells.

Honestly, I was about 50/50 with this game when I first heard about it’s reveal. But man when they started showing clips of the actual gameplay i was hooked on it. The game was very good, some of the writing was eh here and there, but the developers had a lot of fun with making it. Story was better than i expected, graphics were amazing and “shooting” magic and using spells were awesome! Hopefully will see more if this new original fantasy world with more adventures to come playing as the main character Jak.

I bought this on a whim. I had heard a few folks tell me that it was a title to keep an eye on and they were right. A lot of games out right now include a gauntlet that helps your character. There’s Forespoken, Atlas Fallen, and Immortals of Aveum. Immortals leaves the first two in the dust for me. While I feel like Forespoken and Atlas are a little more alike, Immortals stands out to me as the best due to story, graphics, frame rate, and style. Also, I like that it’s first person instead of 3rd person like the others. It feels smooth and the abilities that you build up are very cool and fun to see. Your right hand with the gauntlet acts like a gun while your left arm can pull out a shield when there’s heavy fire or attacks. Despite not having a big budget for advertising, I think this game will continue to get bigger and more folks will be talking about it. Hopefully it gets some DLC treatment later on. I’m still trying to finish the base game at the moment, so im not worried about the game being too short. There’s plenty going on already with the story and side quests. This one is a keeper. I also wouldn’t be against waiting for a cheaper price or something like that though.

Not perfect but nice change. More innocent. Great story. Depth of characters. More down to earth. Looks awesome. Definitely worth it. If you want a more laid back fps. No blood and gore. Funny moments. The interaction of characters. Good mystery that unfolds. Its neat. Will play again. Rather enjoyable.

You will see a variety of reviews ranging from terrible to decent, but the reason they all state for low reviews is the lack of online gameplay. Don't let that stop you. This is a solid game with good mechanics, graphics, and surprising storyline. There are a fair amount of side quests to level up while progressing in the story, without feeling like you are getting sucked i to the abyss of never ending side quests. Yes, it is a linear storyline but you can double back to previous areas at anytime. Yes, it is weird to reload your magic but it adds to the mechanics along with the variety of firing types. Which helps it make sense.

The story is well done, with great cutscenes, lots of puzzles to figure out, and a ton of side content in the world if you choose to engage with it. The graphics and world design were well done. Controls are very good, it’s like Bioshock gameplay but modernized and faster paced. A lot of buttons to memories/get muscle memory for. Game gives you a lot of options in quick succession without time to breath/master each new element introduced. There are also abilities similar to Overwatch series

[Employee of bestbuy] I will keep this short and sweet: the gameplay was a lot tighter than i expected as were the visuals really eye-popping. Spells, which take over from guns in this FPS, are varied enough to encourage switching between them unlike many other games where you find one or two and rude them out until end game. also…Gina Torres of Firefly and Suits fame lens her inage wnd voice to it.

I have not been this wrapped up in a game story. The still getting warmed up in the game but the way they do training is excellent. The game looka great on a massive screen. Fingers crossed end game wont dissapoint.

The spell and different magic is epic. At moment is fast pace and you will be in some crazy moment. Not done yet. But it a good game so far.

Gameplay is really good and story is excellent, but a bit repetitive and a little lackluster overall. If you want a short but well crafted game it is a fun weekend bout, but little desire to replay

It is a bit formulaic but it is gorgeous and relatively fun to play. Its very similar to Ghostwire: Tokyo as far as gameplay, although nowhere near as refined. Its a much bigger world than that so I understand the tradeoff. Its a neat story with a neat world and worth purchasing if on sale.
