This is my first baby monitor, and I have 4 children, haha! I’ve always been put off by them because people would complain about lost signal, lagging, video quality, etc. I finally caved and looked into getting one with my last baby. My husband and I LOVE this monitor and we’re so annoyed we didn’t get it WAY before! The volume is perfect, the night mode is great, the day quality is awesome! And I do love that this isn’t WiFi connected, especially for those windy/rainy days where your WiFi goes out!

Nice product overall. Good quality video and audio. We liked it so much.

Really wanted to like this for the interchangeable lenses. The video quality is also really good… when it works. Unfortunately it constantly drops the signal regardless of the monitor’s proximity to the camera. I can even be in the same room as the camera and it will still randomly drop the signal. It makes a beeping noise when it loses signal, which is a good feature if it’s only happening occasionally. But when it’s beeping like that all night long in my bedroom which is no more than 15 ft from my babies room, it’s basically unusable. Pretty much an expensive paperweight at this point. Had to buy a different brand because this one was too unreliable to count on.

We bought this after having a Motorola monitor stop holding its charge. The reviews for this product were awesome and it was the highest rated baby monitor I found. We’ve had this for just over a year and have not been satisfied with the quality of the picture - should have returned it but we gave it a try. Now, about every 20 seconds it cuts out and every few cut outs it’ll stay off for about 30 seconds to a minute. It’s also no longer holding a charge. I’m sorely disappointed in this baby monitor, especially after paying close to $200. It absolutely is a waste of money and I’m confused by the reviews I read with high ratings. I will always recommend the Motorola we had first - infant optix is not worth it!

This camera has all the features you could ask for...pan, zoom, tilt, etc. --- you can scope out the whole room and the picture quality is on par or better than other units. Also provides the ability to add multiple cameras and cycle through which will come in handy with upcoming twins!! --- overall great buy...they provide standard lens and a zoom lens...apparently theres a wide angle lens as well sold separately that I wish was just included as this camera is on the higher end of price range. Overall highly recommended

This is excellent. This compliments our Nanit when we travel. Nanit and many other baby monitors today use WiFi which is fine when at home, but when traveling and staying at another family's house or Airbnb, it is more convenient just to use an old-school baby monitor. The picture quality is decent and the range seems good in a 3000sq ft 2 story home. Battey life on the monitor has not been a problem for us. It is nice that the cable to power the camera and the cable for the monitor is both very long.

Piece of mind for us when we took the step to having baby sleep in her own room. USER FRIENDLY: Read the instructions and practice pressing some buttons. ROTATION:The rotation range is better than expected. (mounted on a flat wall, I can rotate past 90° and see the baseboard below, not that you would want to). SCREEN: The viewing screen is decent for our needs (contrast fades when on an angle from below). There are larger screens but not needed for us. NIGHT VISION: The night vision works just fine to let us know if our little one is moving about or has the eyes open. Not the clearest but the monitor is mounted about five plus feet from the crib, above the window. SOUND: We can also hear baby through the monitor and vice versa, just as expected for a monitor. BATTERY LIFE: We keep the wall mounted camera plugged in at all times. Our monitor must be charged every morning, as we have it on all night bedside, even though it has an automatic sleep mode for the screen itself. We do reactivate the screen throughout the night to check on baby. ZOOM: Works fine, the nursery is only 10X11. PRICE RANGE: Good for our budget. Are there better, clearer monitors? Sure... needs vs wants. DO OVER: Would I purchase this camera/monitor again Knowing what I know now... YES, yes I would. OVERALL: Good camera, functional sound, alright battery life, no HD screen (needs vs wants) [PS after reading reviews of loose wiring... we did, as recommended, tighten the wiring on the battery] PSS: If you are reading this, you most likely have a new addition to your household... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We LOVE our Infant Optics monitor. We live in a two story home and so far the monitor has been able to stay connected to the camera with no interference. I've been able to carry the monitor in my pocket while doing yard work or simply walking out into the yard. It's been 2 years since our purchase and we still use our Infant Optics monitor. I often place the camera in our living room to keep and eye on the kiddos while I'm in the yard. We also make sure to pack the monitor and carry it with us during trips. 2 years later and the monitor still works great! The only thing I would say about it's life is that the battery drains quicker than when we first started using it. But that's pretty normal with any battery operated device. Overall it was a perfect purchase and would recommend. Also, to add. I would've probably purchased another camera to connect with the monitor since the option to use multiple cameras with one monitor is made possible, but we made do with one. So that's something you could consider if you're looking at purchasing this monitor.

This is a great monitor that does not require wi-fi so you do not have to worry about getting hacked into. The camera has an automatic switch to night vision in dark rooms. The microphone in the camera is very sensitive so works great to hear any fussy noises. This comes with two lenses and can also get a wide angel lens that is NOT included but available for purchase. The one challenge is finding a good place to put the camera to look down at the bed of the crib. The camera tilts down only so far and becomes hard to point at the desired angle. It does come with a wall mount option as well.

Great picture quality and the night vision on this monitor is amazing. Also the monitor battery life would less you for a long time.

This baby monitor is great. It's really easy to use and the sound setting are great. No signal issues and battery lasts a long time. Will be getting 2nd camera soon.

Easy to use. Great picture and night vision. Not a fan of how it mounts on the wall. Feel like it should have come with a wall mount that it attaches to instead of just an anchored screw that slips in the back.

I love this baby monitor. I was vacillating between a baby monitor with an app on my phone or one that was not wifi based and self sufficient. SO glad I went this route. I never have to worry about an app or losing wifi. I also know that the monitor will work in future for anyone who helps me watch the baby or babysits. AND the device is just great-- you can talk to the baby through the mointor and the camera has so many angles. It's a great product and works extremely well. I would buy again and am recommending it to other moms!

While researching baby monitors, I became concerned about range being an issue with the layout of our house. I have tested the Infant Optics monitor in every room of our house (2800 sqft, 3 stories) and taken the monitor outside and had no problems with monitor reception! We have been pleased with video/picture and sound quality. I love being able to scan the room and view different areas when needed without having to physically move the camera. Our baby isn't even 2 mos old yet and I've already recommended this monitor to several friends!

Have been debating on which baby monitor to get for my child. Was looking forward to a Motorola but decided to go with this brand. Best choice I've ever made!!! Easy installation, easy plug in, easy everything! Yes it's a little pricey for just one camera & one monitor but it's so worth it!!! About to buy another camera for my 2nd child coming in Sept. Cant wait to try it out with 2 cameras. It's a must buy! It's a must have! Dont debate on buying any other baby monitor but this one!

This monitor was purchased about a month to replace a monitor that had broken. The reviews on this product are spot on. This monitor has a great picture in low light, a really strong communication protocol that doesn’t wake you with every movement and sound (thank you!) and has tremendous range with the camera angle. Seamless setup up that worked right out of the box after charging. There is a second lens that comes with the unit - we haven’t tried that out to see how it might be helpful.

Good baby monitor. It has lights to the left side of the screen that indicate how loud your kid is getting. Its easy to turn down the volume, if you are trying to let the other SO sleep. Good video feed, decent range. I attached my camera to the wall with a small or medium 3M Command velcro strip and it has worked fine. It is also easy to adjust the viewing angle with the camera.

I purchased this item as an open box in excellent condition. I have always been told you are given the same 1 year manufacturer's warranty. When I received the item, I opened it and checked it quickly to make sure the camera and monitor worked, which they did. However I naively did not check to make sure the camera microphone worked. As the nursery was being renovated, I did not open the product box for another two months which put me past the best buy return period. I understood I would have to deal with the manufacturer, infant optics. They were very responsive and professional but advised their warranty does not apply to open box products. They redirected me back to best buy. I tried multiple customer support people via chat and phone who kept redirecting me. They advised as the product was past the return period that they could not help. I advised I was not asking them to refund but for someone to help me with the infant optics manufacturer. I thought that best buy as an authorized retailer might be able to assist with resolving with the manufacturer but no such luck. As for the product, it is well made and easy to use. The range is more than enough for our two story house. The speaker on the camera and monitor is clear. I will continue to purchase from infant optics but I will buy from another authorized retailer. I believe there is a hardware issue with the microphone on my unit. I ordered another infant optics camera only and the sound works perfect. Not sure if I had a bad unit and that is why the previous owner returned it.

Massive upgrade from our prior monitor (we had that when our now 7 year old was a newborn, so no surprise there). The camera is unobtrusive and quiet when it moves. The nightvision is excellent and clear and the sound pickup is very good to hear a cry in the night or even just an unsettled baby.
