This USB outlet came in on time and the packaging was fantastic, The people at the store were friendly and courteous, The installation was a breeze and it has been nothing but flawless since I ordered it. I got it on clearance so it was very inexpensive but, even at the regular price it would have still been a deal. If you're in need of a USB charger or powered port that lets you still keep both outlets functional, than make sure you check this one out, it's a winner!

Bought 3 of these when on sale, replaced two outlets above the kitchen counters with these and makes it nice when company comes over and as usual need to charge their phones, no longer searching for a place to plugin. Has charged various phones, iPhone/Android (with correct cords) and tablets with no issues and with two additional outlets one can even plug in 4 devices. Installation is simple, remove old outlet and replace. But be sure to turn off the breaker to kill the power to the outlet first. Wires attach easily using the screw lock tabs, slip the wire behind the tab and screw it tight. Tamper resistant plug outlet is a nice added feature with kids around.

Got this Insignia USB outlet on sale for $9! Awesome deal! Get 2 or 3 of them and upgrade your outlets at home! Easy to install and it comes with a faceplate, a nice added bonus! It also has 2 USB ports which are fast enough to charge my iPad and my iPhone at the same time! Well worth the price!

Installed the outlets with ease. No different than any other outlets like the ones sold at the home improvements stores. Good construction, nicely documented brochure and very straight forward. Tested the outlets and the USB charger and both work well. Granted, I have only had them installed for 2 weeks now, but so far so good. The USB charger has a total output of 3.6 Amps which is more than enough to charge a smartphone and a tablet at the same time.

Bought three of these from BestBuy at a great price. Installation was a breeze and I am not even an electrician. First you turn the circuit breaker off for the plug you want to replace. You remove the old plug and install this one. Every connection is color coded and marked. Connect your black wire the the connector that is painted black, white wire to the opposite side and ground wire to the bottom connector. Couldn't be any easier. Took me about five minutes. Turn the breaker on and you are done. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 that I used to test the USB port. Even though it didn't say that it was fast charging but the time to fully charge was about the same as when I plugged it with the OEM fast wall charger. Now I will be able to connect small kitchen appliances without disconnecting my wife's phone charger. I highly recommend this product. Wish I had bought more at that price.

We installed this over the desk in our kitchen. Took less than 15 minutes to install and it looks a lot neater than the wall wart chargers. Worked with all of the phones, iPads, USB batteries, etc that we tried to charge with it. The wall plate is heavy duty and feels very sturdy.

Had wanted to try a USB outlet for a while, but didn't want to experience disappointment after paying around $30. We found this one on sale online and pulled the trigger. Couldn't be happier! Installed it in the kitchen and now have an every ready USB charge port for our cell phones and Bluetooth speaker. Would definitely buy again.

Although it takes some time to figure out how to squeeze in all the wires after connecting, once it’s installed, this unit works pretty well. I don’t have to plug in usb chargers any more and this makes the look of the kitchen neat where iPad is always on and connected to a charger. Also the charging is done fast. I have been using this for quite sometime without any problem.

I purchased 5 of these for a home addition, once I installed a few, I realized that you can plug anything into both of the outlets on any of the 5 I purchased. I tried to return them at the store but I was past day 15 (seriously). I was referred to insignia buy the store, I called the 1-877 number in the instructions who told me to send an email to file a warranty claim. So I sent an email and was given a response that I’m not pushing hard enough, I advised “Hector” that isn’t the issue who turns denied my warranty and TELLS ME TO CONSULT AN ELECTRICIAN SO I CAN BE SHOWN HOW TO PLUG A CORD IN AN OUTLET. Well I am a grown man and a licensed electrician. The issue with these shutters can be seen in photo 6 which shows the extra plastic Where the spring holds the shutters. This shutter is made to rock of an lip and not rock to far so it can slide open (equal on both shutters). What is happening is the spring is sitting in there like a C and the shutter is stuck in the lip because of the extra plastic. The top one works correctly and the bottom one is almost impossible to get a plug in. Im doing a full plank on 2 of them and you can see the plugs are not going to go in. Do no but anything with the name insignia on it. My 5 outlets should be covered under either warranty.

It's like having four outlets instead of two. I can charge my cell phone, tablet and have lights/miscellaneous things running at the same time. It was easy to install and easy to use.

Instead of buying an extension cord or additional outlets, now I have an option of charging 2-4 usb devices at the same time just using this outlet. I bought 2, one installed on kitchen counter and one in the living room for guests.

The charger works well, it can charge an IPOD and smart phone simultaneously. However it is quite a bit bigger than the standard 120 volt outlet so if you have excess wire in the outlet box (which is normal) you may have a problem getting it for fit properly. I would suggest getting an external USB charger that plugs into your outlet.

I installed three of these at home. They are great for charging phones, tablets, etc., when used on a single port it provides full 18 Watts to fast charge modern phones like iPhone XS. You can change the wall plate to match your existing switches or outlets.

My wife and I have been wanting to add an outlet to the island in our kitchen for a long time. For both cell phone charging and running her stand mixer. This works perfectly for both!

I found the socket in my old house that was able to fit the device very nice install Clean easy very good product. Works perfectly fine with any of electronics I've tried to recharge.

Pretty easy install. First couple uses of the 120 volt plugs were next to impossible to insert, but loosened up after a few times.

Works great, easy to install. I compared the output charge vs my fast charger and there was only 8 mins difference (this outlet slower)

I bought 4 of them and they are horrible. I am not able to insert the power cord, lock is very sensitive. I paid to install the plugs and not able take it out and and put old one back.... returning is horrible option as now I have to buy new plugs... Don't buy it
