Q: How many watts does this griddle use?
A: This is a 1500 watt appliance.
Q: Is the griddle immersible in water?
A: Well, I share in your uncertainty and I was too afraid to entirely submerge the appliance in water mainly because there appears to be an electrical input connection that could be sensitive on the end where the power cord/adjustment dial attaches to the appliance to supply it power; and also the slate of heating element underneath the entire length of the griddle might also be sensitive too moisture. Notwithstanding any qualification in the owner's manual or directions that might suggest otherwise, I did not want to take a chance and instead propped the griddle upright in an empty sink to "hand wash" the surface with a sponge with hot water to break the grease smeared on the surface which is your strongest challenge to remove. (You might wipe off the excess residual food and grease on the surface with a paper towel before hand washing it.) Of course, all this is done with the power cord/control adjustment apparatus being detached. If any grease finds its way to the underside, simply take particular attention to those spots with a rag or towel. Let me know if you find a better way or learn otherwise. I have a feeling that this matter is addressed in the manual somewhere, but like you, I did not feel like digging it out to invest a long time to research for it.
A: Heated surface is 20" W x 10" D, but add one inch to D and two to W to include housing, or complete unit. Of coursing, the electrical attachment extends out of corner about another inch and a half. Finally, the unit stands almost three inches in height on a flat, level surface. (Special Notes: Instead of length x width x depth, I refer to W=width, D=depth as there is no practical L=length to this appliance.)
