Bought this to use with a Garmin drive smart 65. It worked fairly well. I did have trouble with mount falling off a few times, but that could be that my Garmin was a little heavy for it. It did not slide around on my dash, although most of the time it was in a little cubby behind my info screen.

Works a little better than the Dashboard Mount One, but still requires a velcro sticker to keep it in place.

For well over a decade, I have been using a GPS dashboard mount of this same style with the hopes of keeping my GPS devices secure on my vehicles' dashboards to, hopefully, extend the life of my GPS devices. The great thing about this Insignia dashboard mount is that its flexibility gives it the best chance to remain in place as one is driving--not all dashboards are flat! I could not believe how heavy, relatively speaking, this Insignia dashboard mount is. When I took it out of the retail box, I quickly learned that the arm which attaches to the back of the GPS can be raised to a degree. The Garmin GPS bracket clip which attaches to the back of my Garmin Drive 52 GPS securely & properly connects to the ball connect which is located at the top of this GPS mount. The underside of this weighted dashboard mount has a somewhat non-skid feature making it less likely to shift, say, if you brake or make an abrupt turn. I am very pleased with the price as well!

This sand bag hold up my gps very well. It is a little big, but did the job. Even with a wide turn, my gps didnt move a bit.

This mount holds my GPS and does not slide around on the dash. It can be picked up for the passenger to change settings or destinations. As another reviewer said, it took a while to get a good position. When attempting to tilt my GPS downward to cut out sun glare, it ran into the sandbags. (Half an inch taller would be a BIG improvement.) Also, for the angle I wanted, I had to use it with the main clip upside down, so it was hard to keep on the base. Finally found a good position and now just move the whole thing instead of trying to unsnap the GPS to make changes.

Larger than the Garmin brand and too big to store in glove compartment. One piece that doesn't come apart. Very heavy and will not slip though.

Have this for our GPS Garmin 65, Sits nicely on the dash and can be placed on the floor under a seat to hide it. No suction cup to clutter your windshield and no mess from sticky tapes.

This mount works great with my gps system. I am a truck driver so it gets plenty of use. I have noticed minimal amounts of beads or whatever that stuffing is starting to escape the mount but it is in very small amounts so no worries. I definitely recommend this mount.

Much better alternative to a suction cup mount. Fits perfectly nestled against info screen in center of dashboard of our new Nissan Rogue. Stays put during travel as well as out of line of sight when looking down the road.

holds my gps securely and does not slide around on the dash. Do not have to worry about suction cup imprints on window and it falling off while driving.

This item is great for staying on the dashboard with a material cover. Since I could not attach anything that had to stick because I have a material cover on my dashboard, this was perfect to hold my Garmin GPS.

I bought this Insignia GPS mount to replace my old mount. My old mount was getting pretty worn, This new mount works very well. Stays in place. Easy to use and well made.

I ended up returning this because what I urchased had a holder. But I did open it. It is very heavy and if you sit it on a level dash. I am sure it works great!

a very stable platform for my large GPS unit. The slide-off makes it easy to remove GPS for storage. A weighted bean bag helps keep it stable.

Too large for the sedan but works fine for the SUV. If I had the opportunity to see it in the store, I probably would not have purchased it.

In solid quality, just clunky, bulky and not a great fit for the large Garmin. On the good side, it's very heavy so doesn't slide around.

Works well for your Garmin. I now prefer this over the window suction clamp system that came with the unit, because this heavy base can be set within reach without having to reach way out for most cars that have a deep windshield. This base is heavy enough that it never slides around, and that makes this better than I expected. One thing to consider is the bigger screens will tend to reach the base when trying to get the screen face perpendicular to the dash, thereby making it tile upward.

Can now have GPS right in front of me on the dash and not have to move eyes away from the road. Attaches to my Garmin GPS with no adjustment.Keeps unit steady.

Not bad, needed to hold my GPS. This was a good purchase, but it sometimes slides. Not the greatest, but good to prevent my GPS falling off my window.

We had one dashboard mount. It didn’t stay put. We found this one and it stays where you put it. It very flexible and sits on any surface.
