This little gadget works exactly as it says it will. I did have to go back to my camera manual to set the camera on the correct settings, but once I did, it worked great. I wanted it for tripod mounted shooting to eliminate motion blur.

I use it every day. I don't leave home without it. Had become my go to tool.

I ordered this recently, and the packaging for the remote was already ripped open. I was clearly sent an open box item. I would have been okay with it, but the strap that is shown in the picture was not included in the package. I also received no instructions on how to pair with my camera. I know it was only a $10 item, but I still feel ripped off.

I have a Canon 4i I use for video blogging, and had been looking for a way to remote to my camera so I would not get so much camera shake when cutting on & off. Once I read over my Canon directions on setting this new device up, it worked like a charm!! Now I can remotely cut the camera on & off so I don't have to walk back to the camera or get up to stop the videoing. It's especially helpful when I make a "blooper", and can remotely stop the camera to get my thoughts together before starting again.

I bought this as an alternative to Canon's wireless remote but in all honesty I probably would go the Canon route if given a second chance. However this option is $4 cheaper and works just as well. Just note, when using this on Canons it will require you to put the camera in self timer mode, 2 seconds or 10 seconds (and no there is no delay even in those modes).

I've been photographing motorcycle events for 30 years. And havee sold many photos to national magazines. My life has been spent mostly behind the lens. With the insignia remote control I can actually take a few photos with me in them. The Insignia remote control is a handy little tool every photographer needs and a good many will want. Instead of setting the camera on the timer function. You can hold this tiny unit in the palm of your hand. Not having to run around your camera mounted on tripod. Set up your shot press the button and shoot as many photos as you like. This particular unit comes with a strap and to my surprise a battery. Very easy to use. Follow the instructios to synchronize. And you're done. The 1 drawback is that you must be in front of the camera and preferably on the right side of your camera to release the shutter. Small, easy to synchronize, easy to use, and inexpensive. For the cost of the unit. Every photographer pro or hobbyist needs this handy tool.

The remote is very simple. Set up is basically non existent. Only downside is that it doesn't take photos on set exposure. It may be my own mistake and not programming correctly. Otherwise, great and easy use.

I had one of these before but miss placed it. It really came in handy in situations where you want to take a selfie with a DSLR and not your phone and you don't want to control the timing and don't want to use the camera's timer. Its a handy device for not a lot of money. You should test it out and get used to the way it works before you take your first picture. It isn't hard to use but it pays to practice with it. I thing the advertised range is around 16 feet but you may not be able to reach that far on a bright sunny day.

Good one. It does what its expected to do nicely. Had some initial problems but overall ok

One third the price of the Canon model. Works exactly the same. You can't use it behind the camera as it is IR controlled as nearly all wireless remotes are. Just simply point it at the front of the camera within about an 8 to 10 ft range and click.

It's okay it works good once it's literally in front of the lense. Sometimes I doesn't work properly though

This clicker works great, but the range of distance is not that much. Maximum of 10 feet

It took a little practice, but it works good. Instructions could have been better. Works good for the price.

I got this to do self-portraits with my Canon 6D. Unfortunately, this remote only works if you're pointing it directly at the camera. It's kind of useless because I can't even hide it behind my back in the images. It also doesn't work consistently, even when you ARE pointing it at the camera.

Remote works as advertised. I have been using the same battery the remote comes with since I purchased. I simply remove the battery from the remote and place both in my camera bag. Not sure how long this may or may not extend battery life but, still working so far .... I would recommend this to a friend ...

I was searching for a remote control to do some self-shoots with my husband. Technically this works, but you must point the remote directly to the IR sensor of the camera, otherwise it will not be recognized. If you don't want to have the remote in all your pictures you will (depending on your camera) possibly need a firmware update or add-on to get a delay between pressing the button and the actual photo. The biggest issue I had was finding out which cameras are working with the remote control. The internet isn't helpful at all and even the QR code on the package itself leads into nowhere. I can at least tell that it works with my (old old) Canon EOS 500d. So, with some minus points still a working accessoire.

Product is good and reasonably priced. Good and easy to assemble

I got this because I was tired of the shaking I was getting from my Canon T6i while using a tripod with lower shutter speeds. This makes it very nice because you don’t have to touch the camera minimizing the shake. For the price I absolutely recommend it.

Easy setup and great price, easy to handle overall great item

This remote did the job but often required clicking more than once due to the signal not reaching the camera. It works best when you point directly at the camera, which for photos that you want to be in becomes difficult to hide the remote in the shot.
