I was skeptical of buying this CPU at first. There is a ton of negative and contradictory information on YouTube on this chip. I paired this with a Rog Maximus XIII Hero(highly recommend) and a Kraken Z53 240mm AIO(360mm would be ideal) When I first installed & overclocked, it was highly unstable while gaming. I hit peaks of 77* and throttled down to 4700 mhz. I was planning on returning it after night one. Next day with a little more time for the thermal paste to cure, I updated my bios and drivers for my MB and had fantastic results. I hit peaks of 70* while gaming, and never dropped below 5000 mhz. This chip improves performance of your entire PC. RAM and SSD benched way higher than with 10th gen. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for the best from intel and doesn't need more than 8 cores.

Great overall CPU worth the price compared to newest one. Will not notice a difference. Can overclock easily to get over 5 hertz. VicdDealz

People kept telling me how the 11th gen i9 sucked. Guess what? It doesn't. Depending on your build and video card. Sure it isn't going to beat the AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, but it still can run AAA titles with no problem. Ran the benchmark using Cinebench and my build the 11th gen i9 is still up there and not close to bottom of the barrel.

Runs hot. Other than that, it’s a fast processor coming from an 8th gen i7

The i9 11900k is a very under rated cpu from intel i have been running mine with a 360 mm aio and getting amazing speeds and with it now being 3 generations old it performa so well

Yeah the price is high and the performance increase from previous gen other chips isn’t huge. But this thing is a beast of a chip

Definitely not the best Intel CPU, especially for the price. Worked well when paired with a 240mm AIO but I hear about lots of heat issues with any less of a cooler, or if the CPU isn’t underclocked.

This is the latest generation Intel, you have to try it.

The 11th Gen Intel CPU’s are amazing. I have the i7 and i9 of the 11 Gen CPU’s. If you are going to spend the money for an i7. Spend a little extra and get the i9 setup. The extra cost is minor. Compared to the benefits of having. A more powerful i9 cpu. I have purchased several i7 CPU’s over the past 13 years. I have paid for the extreme cpu’s and the regular versions. Unless you are entering a contest. For the fastest CPU. Do not waste your money. After purchasing the i7 and i9 at the same time. putting them in two different builds. With the same type of hardware. The i9 seems like a no brainer. The i9 cost less than $50 more than the i7. You do the math and see if $50 is worth spending.

I was running the I-9 10gen for awhile and really enjoyed it, but I wanted to try the 11 gen. after reading many bad things about it, I held off for awhile, but after installing the 11gen I overclocked 51%, running 5.20 Ghz at idle, and close to 5.30 Ghz gaming, but it does run a bit warm at 51% over clocked, But if you dont mind a little temp change I would get this one. I mean at idle am running about 29c to 32c. But mixed MX 5 paste. with a MSI 360mm am running at easy 50c to 60c well gaming ( heavy gaming ). But then again I have a case that enclosed but has great air flow. In the end you will need a good cooler and enough air flow to handle the temps. If not your temps will be to high. As far as gaming I have noticed a better response time and FPS vs the 10 gen.

Bought this cpu a few yrs ago an still holding strong to this day Now with the 50series gpus an the multi frame gen I dont see myself getting a new cpu for awhile
