In my opiniion. great action movie with reasons for revenge that most people could probably relate to. Obviously I'm not in anyway a movie critic, but I give it two thumbs up.

An ex-hit man comes out of retirement to get revenge on the gangsters that took everything from him. For Adutlts only. Not suitable for children.

I always thought that Keanu Reeves was a great actor. This role just proved me right. This movie was everything and more. I just hope they keep it going. I love the character. I would highly recommend this movie.

This is one of the most creative gun play movies I e ever seen. Keanu is a great action star and the story is one great revenge story!

Keanu is great in the movie with all the weapons training and work. Just hard to watch at the beginning for animal lovers.

Next to Street Kings, this is Keanu Reeves best movie. Seen this & the second one. Can't wait for the 3rd one

With John Wick, we get a much needed break from the 'Action-Thriller' that comes to theaters today. No over the top one liners. Did not need every action star over the last 30 years, relevant or not. Just meat n potatoes Revenge. All you need to read are the words on the disc cover. "A wild and bloody ride" Mess with the wrong guy, kill his dog and steal his car, a gift from his dead wife, it's on for the retired hit man. In my opinion, best performance since the Matrix. Great supporting cast, William Dafoe delivers as he always does and Michael Nyqvist owned- that role. Where has this guy been? superlative performance. John Wick is legit. It's just what it is suppose to be. Fun and something actually believable, sorry he does not save the World in this film. The acting and etiquette, the rules of the business are addressed and delivered in a 2 hr revenge-action- thriller. Well done Mr. Reeves. You keep any and all haters at bay in this one, in a 'Neo' -esque way. Point Break, The Matrix and John Wick. Not ranking them in order, just theatrical release order. Very glad I purchased this film after a compelling recommendation.

Best role and best acting job by Reeves since Matrix (#1). A definitive action movie, with a backstory. As Wick, he's ruthless in his pursuit of righting the wrong done to him. He's a victim, yet not. Uses firearms that do run out of bullets and has to reload or improvise. They've made a second one as this was such a hit. Best Buy had the DVD for cheap, with Ultraviolet download; like 9 bucks. Any movie I know I'll watch several times for pure entertainment I'll buy if the price is right, so I take with me on my Nook, watch on the widescreen, or my desktop. This is a keeper. I don't bother with the higher priced Blue Ray; it's wasted on all but widescreen TV, and I prefer the flexibility of watching on long flights, or just to take a break from work. Am waiting for the 2nd release, and I'll go out and buy it-no theaters for me. I can live with the delayed gratification for the flexibility and owning the disc for the same price as a movie ticket.

Action packed from beginning to end! Great way to start the series!
