The Kensington EQ Pro Thunderbolt 5 Dock is a 19-in-1 docking station designed for MacBook and optimized for M-series Pro and Max models running macOS 14.5 or later, giving creative professionals a workstation from one cable. Its outer case is made from at least 85 percent post-consumer recycled aluminum and relies on passive cooling, so the chassis stays silent on a desk while shedding heat. A Thunderbolt 5 host port carries 80Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth and rises to 120Gbps with Bandwidth Boost for video-intensive work, and three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports handle displays, storage, and audio interfaces. Display support reaches dual 6K monitors at 60Hz on M-series Pro and Max machines, or a single 8K panel at 60Hz. Four USB-A ports and two USB-C ports all run at 10Gbps, and one of the USB-C ports supplies up to 30W for charging a tablet or phone at the desk. A lockable PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD slot is built into the housing, turning the dock into fast local scratch storage that can be secured against removal, while triple card readers cover CompactFlash 4.0, UHS-II SD, and UHS-II microSD media. Wired networking comes from a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, and four separate audio connections serve headphones, a microphone, speakers, and TOSLINK optical gear. Thunderbolt 5 remains backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB4 hosts, so the same dock continues to serve earlier MacBook models and Windows notebooks sharing the desk. Dynamic power delivery pushes up to 140W over USB PD 3.1 to keep a MacBook charged under load, and a 3-year limited warranty applies.
