Neccesary evil
Its a bummer that you have to purchase this separately. Its a little that it wouldnt be sold as one unit because you have to have it techniqually. After having to buy both the hood and then the fan, it turns into a really expendive combo.

I would recommend
I was unhappy to find out this had to be bought separately from the hood, however we are happy with it, on the #2 power it does even the steamiest ventilation needed.

Exhaust fan

Compliments the new kitchen appliances
We just remodeled our kitchen with all Kitchenaid products. It was the obvious choice to compliment our appliances appears to work fine.
