Koyo - Koyo - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Amplifying Host finds Richard Young's wandering the guitar desert somewhere between Ry Cooder's Paris, Texas score and Neil Young's work on Dead Man. Yet, the randomly determined chord movements and Young's' stretched-out vocal passes across the record are, perhaps, more akin to Jandek's Six And Six ? here, removed from it's gauze and dipped in a dark gold. When Young's bends strings in this Anglo-Americana vision, it's like he's bending spoons. Album Tracks 1. Furrows Again 2. Too Strong for the Power 3. Tessellations 4. Holding Onto the Sea 5. A Hole in the Earth 6. This Is the Music

Prior to releasing a string of influential and widely acclaimed solo records under his own name on labels such as Important and Hospital Productions, Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails) self-released two albums under the name Sonoio starting in 2010. Praised for their complex and rich pop sound, strong vocal delivery and thoughtful compositions with impeccable production values, Sonoio's InchRedInch and InchBlueInch made heavy use of Cortini's expert manipulation of the Buchla synthesizer and releasing the single InchEnoughInch. As activity with Nine Inch Nails, the demands of touring, and his other solo endeavors began to pick up, production on the third and final Sonoio installment was delayed. In 2014 however, after years of silence, Sonoio posted the single and video for the song InchThanks For CallingInch exclusively on Sonoio. Org and quickly reignited rumors and hope for the of the third album. Fine is the first Sonoio full length to be released on vinyl, with art direction and package design by Caspar Newbolt and photography by Matt Sundin.
