Q: Does this have a vent hood?
A: There are vents on the bottom of the unit. It can be vented to the outside or used as a circulation vent.
A: I needs a cabinet or other upper frame. There is a wall bracket mounted along the lower back edge and uses two fixed position bolts down from the top about 5 inched back from the front edge.
A: Only the black stainless is fingerprint proof. The glass and cooking panel are not.

A: The door for the LG - 1.8 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking and EasyClean® - Black Stainless Steel, Model # MVEM1825D, does not have zero clearance. Regrettably, neither the specifications nor the manual for the microwave oven lists a width for it with the door fully open...^Ivan.
Q: Can this microwave be installed as a built-in instead of over-the-range?
A: The bottom needs to be open for the vent fan intake to work and the top has to be clear above for the vent fan exhaust. Above cabinet has to be 14 inches or less from the back wall. So not really. It's meant to take the place of a range hood/or add a range hood.

A: It works with Alexa. You have to set up a LG account and then install the LG ThinQ skill in your Alexa app. You can also install the LG ThinQ app on your phone. The Alexa skill really doesn't do that much.

Excellent upgrade and happy for it
Microwave was just a bit smaller than our old Samsung microwave. But it isn't an issue with the foods we put in there. The install was rather easier than I thought. Only issue was the top mounting holes are different from the old microwave so be prepared to make new holes if you're replacing an old Samsung. PROS: -The build is excellent and feels quite sturdy. -Door is not wobbly or weak when I have it open. -Food cooks well all around and i'm still trying out more features. -Internet connectivity. Using the LG app, I can connect my microwave to it and time a cook, set what to cook, set clock etc... It also reminds me for cleaning or any other issues. -If you're a microwave popcorn person, this is the 1st microwave I ever owned that practically popped about 100% of all the kernels without burning the popcorn (I use Orville Redenbacher). CONS: -Like I said, if you're replacing a Samsung, be prepared to make new holes. Also the power cord is on a different location. -Just a bit smaller internally than a Samsung of this series. But not by much and we didn't even notice when we started using it. -The lights underneath are a bit dim and I wish they used LED lighting. Although the interior is LED. Overall we're very happy with our purchase and the cooking and or warming up of foods is what matters and this LG does it very well!

Solid microwave replacement
Once I got it outta the box and installed I loving it. If you don't have a homie to help you out with the install you can creative using home supplies to support it as you get the support screws lined up up top. Fairly standardized size etc too, one screw and the back support plate and fan output port were all compatible with the previous microwave I uninstalled. Been working fine for a week so far
