I was a little hesitant about purchasing this monitor as I wasn't sure I would like the widescreen effect. I mostly use it for gaming, and mostly for MMO's, such as World of Warcraft. I spent hours in the store comparing screens and deciding what I wanted. My system can easily handle 4K monitors, however, as I was standing there looking at the monitors on display, this one in particular kept standing out to me. The colors were more vibrant, the blacks were darker. This monitor happened to be on sale for an amazing deal and I snagged it up, especially because it was the last one in the store. I am SO glad I did. Playing games on this thing is amazing. I have a pretty decent graphics card and gaming rig so the resolution isn't ever a problem. I just LOVE having that wider field of view on my games. I'm considering purchasing a second one because, why not? I would highly recommend grabbing one of these, especially at the deal I just got.

This monitor was primarily purchased for home office use with Microsoft Excel. It is amazing for that. Using Excel on any other monitor is now a chore. The ultra wide ratio is perfect for spreadsheets. The dual input option is very helpful. This monitor is shared by two computers. One is a Dell laptop (for work) and the other is a 2017 iMac (for play). It is easy to change the input source with the single joystick/button on the bottom of the monitor. I purchased this monitor during a Best Buy Deal of the Day. I highly recommend this monitor!

I purchased two of these monitors to use with my Alienware 17 R4 laptop. One is on the left, one on the right with the laptop in the center. The 23:1 format of these ultra wide monitors gives the desktop real estate of 5 standard monitors. They are sharp and clear and were well priced at Best Buy. My only complaint is that I was not able to mount them on the monitor arms I already had in place, due to the fact that the power and HDMI ports are directly under the place where the mounting plate attaches. I could cobble together a stand off and get right angle connectors for this, but it seems like a dumb place to locate the ports. If the ports were located better this would definitely rate 5 stars.

Awesome monitor with great viewing angles. The free sync feature is pretty nice as you can hit 75hz on games etc. I will write this if your debating wether to get a 29”or 34”definitely get the 34”. This monitor is being donated to my sons setup as I ordered a 34”.

I was skeptical about buying a 29" ultra wide monitor as I was shopping for a 32" at the time. This was on sale during black Friday and I jumped on it. So far it's alright, no problems yet. The stand feels pretty cheap to be honest, but it does allow you to pivot your monitor. Headphone jack is expected, has one HDMI port and one display port. That's it. Should have at least a 2nd HDMI port, but oh well. I tried the next day to get a 2nd monitor and they were sold out. That should tell you something about it. It's a good alternative to a 32". You will see an increase in workflow space as I use it for editing videos/photos. It's also pretty nice for gaming. Wish I could've found a 2nd one.

So far this monitor has exceeded my expectations. Super clear picture, love the way overwatch looks on it. Can’t wait to get another one to hook side by side.

This monitor is big and beautiful! Set up is a breeze. Be sure to have an hdmi P/C to get the best out of this unit.

The colors look great and a lot of games work with the widescreen resolution, especially newer titles. Overall i'm really happy with how it looks and how much space i have on my desktop when i'm not gaming.

I am semi retired and use an excel spread sheet multiple times during the day. The options the UltraWide monitor has given me makes me wish I had invested in it a long time ago. It really makes it easier on my eyes too!

Great monitor! Zero dead pixels and it’s crisp display make this an exceptionally well open box purchase. I totally recommend this and for as far as the price goes, you’d be stupid to skip it. Yes it’s freesync and I have an nvidia 1070 but it is still running extremely well for games even at only 60hz. Would love to see this higher but hey, gameplay is still easy going. The widescreen makes this great for productivity as well. I have spreadsheets, multiple tabs, and a hw monitor open across the screen and it is still large enough to see everything. It’s true that it would be better with speakers but is it really a big deal considering most people have a headset or an external speaker system anyway? I will be getting another one (once the wife forgets I bought this one lmao) so I can mount it vertically. Because it’s open box mine did not come with the mounting screws to mount on the base. Not a big deal considering most people have random screws laying around in a junk drawer so I found 2 that fit and put them in. Not going to cry about that. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase and I’d absolutely recommend!

I was a little concerned because all of the monitors I have had in the past were higher than this one, but I quickly got used to its shape. LOVE the fact that I can split into four screens; incredible time savings feature for me. Great picture.

Bought this monitor over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale period. Had been wanting to upgrade to an ultra wide for a while and finally found a reasonable price. I was nervous about 29 inches at 1080p, but because it is a 2560x1080 it looks as good as a 23 inch monitor. The 75hz is also amazing for playing games. Everything moves crystal clear. The only negative I have to say about this purchase is I didn't make it soon enough. Great monitor!

I was nervous about trying this new resolution/wide monitor but it is fantastic. I use it for home/home office. I didn't want side-by-side monitors or stacked so I can still enjoy the view out of my window. This monitor allows me to very easily have 2 view-able apps open at once without compromising their basic size. I can get three in but would need to narrow the width a bit to do so. In the end, I like the lower profile and wide format of this monitor. If I had to do it all over again, I would get this monitor.

This is my secondary monitor, running in Portrait mode (makes sites and code easier to review) with my primary as a dell 144hz, 1440 panel, i7 4790k paired with 1080 FE and 32 GB RAM This has been a great purchase and the 75hz refresh rate is great compared to my primary monitor's. At this price, they did cut a few corners such as no speakers (but you still get volume controls for earphones you plug in), no dual input side-by-side. No dead pixels however, and I have not seen any light bleed from the bezel....which could easily have been thinner.

I purchased this monitor during the black Friday offer as a second screen for my macbook for work purpose. The monitor size is really good and gives me a lot of space to multitask with different windows at the same time. I am not using this for gaming purpose but the free-sync feature nice to have. The screen is nice and gives really sleek appearance. I am using it with display-port cable instead of HDMI cable that came with the monitor. The viewing angle is very good. The controls are also good, it sports a minimalistic design and carry a single joystick button for all the functions. It is personal preference, but I prefer to have 3-4 conventional buttons. I am also using this for watching amazon prime videos and movies, the picture quality is very good. but only downside I feel that it does not have the inbuilt speaker. It would have very nice if it had the speaker. It does have a headphone output (3.5 mm). although external speaker can be connected with the 3.5 mm headphone port, but I feel it should have a USB port also for powering a small speaker or for like attaching a USB drive. So for I am very happy with this. Pros: Wide screen, sleek, Free Sync, HDMI and Display port, VESA mount. Cons: No inbuilt speaker, no USB port.

I needed a monitor to do a lot of school work on as well as game on from time to time. The ultra wide was great for productivity and gaming and the 29inch screen was the perfect size. The freesync and 75 hz refresh rate is also perfect for my gaming hardware

The LG - 29' monitor is awesome. The monitor has a native resolution of 2560x1080, 75hz & freesync. Freesync can be used with AMD video cards for improved performance. This monitor is awesome for day to day work & gaming. 5/5 stars

This monitor is a great replacement for a couple of 24inch monitors. I am used to using 3 acer 24led's. Gaming is great except for those annoying bezels. so when I first set this up I was kind of nervous because I lost a lot of screen real estate. After gaming on it for about an hour in widescreen mode I am completely happy with my purchase. Crisp color production. The 75hz is really nice as well. This is an outstanding option for widescreen gaming. I would suggest it over 2 24 inch monitors...if you really want screen real estate this won't suffice completely in comparison to 3 24inch monitors but then you run into that bezel problem again...No doubt the 34 would be nice, but at 3 times the price I hardly see 5 inches as worth it.

This is a great monitor to use with my laptop. It’s widescreen effectively allows me to have 2 work spaces without having to use my laptop screen at all and just plugging in the monitor. Excellent resolution. Speakers are kinda weak but I don’t use them anyway.

Fairly decent images for basic computer tasking. Pretty good for video. Nice height. Not too hard to move around and/or assemble. Display is more for games or else you will have wide black borders blocked on either side of screen. There are several settings available to make adjustments to the display. If using as a basic computer monitor, you can't get sound unless your HDMI to computer is by LG. It comes with a wide input-output cable, but all computers are different and it didn't work for mine. You have to buy that separately depending on your input. I use my iPod ear buds to get sound directly from the monitor, but wish I didn't have to; my HDMI to laptop cable is from radio shack. Wish the Best Buy Geek Squad "expert" on the customer service line and the instore staff member told me this when I called and/or asked for help making a selection and while deciphering compatibility, etc.
