Bought the 42" version of this tv to use exclusively as a PC monitor and couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I've had plenty of high end "gaming" monitors that always leave room for wanting more. This tv hits all the right marks. It's plenty bright, perfect blacks, high enough refresh rate for 4k and has 0 lag or ghosting. The speakers are a little bit weak, but who's using tv speakers anyways?

I’m sure a lot of people out there who were looking for a new TV aren’t willing to pay $1000. If you’re like me and you enjoy watching premium movies and utilizing your PlayStation five then you’re one step away to perfection. LG makes the best TVs out there today. I had a Samsung for many years and though I enjoyed that TV they are bargain basement nowadays just watch one movie in 4K on this TV and guaranteed you’ll know where that money went. The first movie I watched on here was The Batman(2022). It was like being in the movie itself. filmmaker mode was perfection. This is the top shelf liquor of electronics.

LG C5 42” is an amazing tv upgrade from the old LG C1 48” although it’s smaller but the saving and tv made it perfect only concern I did have is with the remote sometimes freezes and there’s no dedicated mute button like before because it’s infused into the volume down and hold but other then that even the remote feels comfortable and intuitive than before! Putting the standing leg (2) was difficult but not impossible which isn’t too bad. Whoever buys this tv will be impressed with the prefect black from the OLED since LG is best at that and manufacture for most OLED TV’S and 4k 144hz will sure help with content but most importantly gaming oh wow! You can even check your fitness tracking on the TV like treadmill or other gym equipment status while you use them! At first I thought the sound quality wasn’t full Which might make sense because it’s a smaller TV but now I can clearly hear everything this is not terrible LG is really good than any other small TV I would say!

Absolutely amazing picture. This is my second 4k set and I'm still blown away every time I watch a UHD Bluray on it. PS5 looks amazing too. I shopped around a lot of different models and was impressed that the C5 looked nicer than TVs that are much more expensive. Best bang for the buck in OLEDs. Zero regrets.

With a very similar ppi as a 27" 1440p monitor, this TV works very well as a large monitor for large desks. Being a rare 42" 120 hz VRR OLED, it's also quite fantastic for mounting on a Sim rig for playing something like Gran Turismo.

Bought this tv for my small room to hook up to my gaming consoles. It’s also been a great way to watch the recent World Cup matches. The built in AI helped me refine the picture to suit my tastes perfectly. The image is so crisp, the colors vibrant and the blacks a perfect void. My only complaint is that I am not a fan of the LG magic remote cursor popping up all the time but that is less a problem with this model of TV and more of an issue with LG tvs in general. All in all I’d recommend this tv for anyone not looking for a giant tv.

Wow! We didn't know what we were missing! The brightness, color, and clarity make us sorry that we waited so long to replace our ancient TV. On the other hand, if we hadn't waited we wouldn't have this wonderful TV. It's hard to step away from it!

Needed a large color-accurate monitor to edit photos and videos with out of my Macbook Pro. Love the size and added real-estate to work with! Cannot beat these blacks and it gets very bright as well. Highly reccomend!

I bought this TV to replace an older 15-year-old Vizio 32-inch TV. I can't say enough about the TV. The picture is amazing, it is so clear and bright, like the movie is happening live. Highly recommended.

The contrast is very good and colors are very natural. I have it set to movie quality since I mainly watch movies and tv series. For those with eyes sensitive to brightness, this is an excellent choice. The Best Buy employee was extremely helpful in guiding me to the best tv for me. Love this tv!

I have always wanted an OLED TV for the longest time. I knew I had to wait a few years for the price to be within range and finally it was within range. I was deciding between SONY and LG. It was really close, but I went with LG because the reviews were a little bit better and it had a newer version (2025) for the 42-inch screen. When I finally set it up, I was absolutely stunned looking at the picture. I played the movie "Hugo" on it and lost myself in the beauty of the picture. It's like I was paying more attention to the picture than the actual movie. The tv is absolute eye candy and you can't wait to try another movie or watch live sports just to see how the picture is its own story. My only gripe is the Magic Remote. It's way too complex for a remote for me. I'm sure I could have figured it out, but remotes aren't supposed to be so odd to the point that you have to study something to figure out how to use it. No big deal - I bought another basic LG remote for about $15 on Amazon that automatically paired with the LG. I was back in business. I never have splurged this much for a TV, but because it was a big birthday I decided to go for it and I am so happy I did. Other than the magic remote, I love this TV - I can't wait to watch another movie with the lights out and see how the picture of the TV writes its own story.

Never disappointed with an OLED panel! Bought this to use as a monitor for my sim racing setup and it is absolutely everything it needs to be. VERY bright. Colors are absolutely incredible. Magic remote is too handy. If you're on the fence, or in the market at all... just pay the slight extra for an OLED. It will be the last tv you need to buy for a long time, as it will always perform well and LG panels seem to last forever. I have one of the original CX OLEDs and its still kicking.

I recently picked up the LG C5 42” OLED from Best Buy, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The picture quality is absolutely stunning — deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredibly sharp detail. Whether I’m watching movies, sports, or gaming, the image is smooth and immersive. The 42-inch size is perfect for a bedroom, office, or smaller living space where you still want premium OLED quality. The refresh rate and low input lag make it excellent for gaming, and the new webOS interface feels fast and modern.

Researched painstakingly before replacing my highly rated (at the time) 2013 Samsung 40” smart tv. This LG is waaayyy smarter. Was trying to wait until the price dropped even more, but needed an upgrade before NFL playoffs, the Australian Open, and the Super Bowl. Speaking of super, this tv was super easy to set up, and the manual/directions/video provided sufficient guidance. The black level is truly a showstopper. Using my Samsung soundbar (which the system recognized so i can control with the LG remote), so i can’t comment on the built-in speakers’ sound. LG Channels and apps round out the experience, but my FIOS set top box is my primary input source, and the picture is stunning. This LG tv kinda makes me want to invest in a gaming setup, but, at 65 years old, I probably wouldn’t get much use out of it (but my grandkids might). Overall very pleased with this purchase, and I’m finding the tv to be a worthy upgrade. Purchased online at Best Buy, and the process couldn’t have gone more smoothly.

Bright colors, crisp contrast, and the dark pixels are truly dark, this TV delivers a great viewing experience. It was easy to set up, and works seamlessly with my Apple TV (not necessary). Am happy with the size, it sits conveniently without overwhelming the space, and i can pick it up and move it by myself.

I purchased the LG C5 OLED 42 inch OLED TV to fit a small space. It has a great picture and I noticed the colors pop a little more than the Sony A90K 42 inch OLED TV that I also purchased. The Sony has more lifelike colors out of the box and has better motion tracking than the LG C5 model. I noticed motion blur on the LG C5 that is not present on the Sony A90K model when I played the same action movie on both models. If you are trying to decide between the 2 models, the LG C5 has more color pop and seems to be a bit brighter, but has less lifelike color and more motion blur than the Sony A90K model. The LG was $300 less in price so it depends on what's important to you.
