11/24/2024 I purchased the LG LW1223HRSM window unit in July 2024. At point of purchase i was considering its comparable unit but without the "smart"app that was a few bucks less. Decided on this one because it had a higher fan volume and a slightly higher btuh than the non-smart model. And i couldnt be more pleased with its performance so far. This unit replaces a 1979 12k btuh straight cool thru-wall unit (that still worked!). Ive installed this window unit as part of an extensive restoration of a 1971, 12x50 single wide mobile home in which ive completly reframed the exterior walls which are only 2x3 studs (2 1/2" wide). I installed a new 33x55 double hung vinyl window which required adding an inner and exterior sill to support the units weight and proper slope to drain. With that the installation was a snap and i already had a rated 240 volt circuit and plug from the old thru wall unit. I have to say the performance of this unit is impressive in both heat and cool modes. Especially given that none of the new walls are insulated yet, and im heating and cooling 800 of the total 900 square feet, its still very efficient...to be fair tho, i only have 7 foot ceilings so there's some savings there in overall volume to be conditioned Living in north central Florida, 20 to 30 degree daily temperature swings with often very high humidity, are common place. On average, in 2024 summer and winter so far, my electric bill without the unit ran about $50 to $60 a month. With this new LG window model ive only seen about a 25 to 30 percent increase in the bill, even with no wall insulation! And it's much quieter than i expected even on high speed F2. I can safely say once this project is completed this LG unit will provide even more savings than im seeing presently and i couldnt be happier with its performance. Heats the patio well with automatic shutdown and wifi control. In addition, LG customer support is awesome. Online chat response was unable to resolve initial setup problem and tgey dispatched onsite tech at no charge to connect temp sensor (mfg error). Problem solved and working great.

our company had previously purchased the same unit back in April of 2016 , and it has endured many wind storms and plenty of heat days
