upgraded from the LG 27GS95QE (WOLED, 3rd gen), and the difference is immediately noticeable. This new panel is significantly brighter across both full-screen and windowed APL levels, with color reproduction that gets very close to QD-OLED gamut and saturation. For someone like me who doesn’t need more than 240Hz, this panel is essentially my endgame. There are people who criticize the matte anti-glare coating, but in my case, it’s an advantage. Glossy surfaces tend to cause eye strain due to reflections, so the matte finish actually provides a more comfortable and consistent viewing experience.

After trying out both QD and Woled this new Tandem oled panel is definitely a lot closer to QD oled than the previous 3rd gen Woled with MLA. Better colors and ever better brightness. One thing I did have to the with this LG model is to run a couple of pixel cleanings due to very noticeable grey banding out of the box and it definitely fixed it back to normal.

At first, I thought this monitor was spectacular and the image quality was amazing. However, when I first attempted to clean this, I noticed a giant diagonal band across the screen only visible with direct light on a dark screen. I contacted LG support to see if this was maybe a protective film I missed, but they informed me this was the actual display. Telling them this was cleaned with electronic wipes and a microfiber cloth gave support the idea that I did this myself and I would be responsible for the full cost of repairs. Not the kind of thing you'd want to hear, especially when you suspect this cosmetic damage is a fault of manufacturing. It's completely unnoticeable during use, so it functionally doesn't really matter but dealing with LG left a bad taste in my mouth. I urge you to inspect your monitors with a broad light to see if this occurred in your monitors as well though this may ruin your experience. Mostly upset with LG for telling me more or less to return it if I don't like it. Weird take.

Hi, Jeffrey. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback on the LG Monitor (27GX700A-B) model and understand how important it is for your screen to remain in excellent condition.
For cleaning, we recommend using a soft, dry microfiber cloth only, without any cleaning solutions or electronic wipes, as moisture or chemicals can sometimes leave marks or streaks on the panel surface. Gently wiping in one direction helps maintain the display’s finish. For more help, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-how-to-clean-the-monitor-screen--20153255207578. I was coming from a 24 in 1440p 180hz ips monitor and this monitor was a massive upgrade, its my first oled and the true blacks and no backlight bleed look so good. Also this tandem oled technology is so bright for an oled and looks amazing in a bright room (and obvioulsy looks great in a dark room) it has a matte coating but i cant see any noticeable grain so the image quality is crisp. Also the response times and motion clarity are amazing and a massive difference from lcd (if your pc can hit 280hz). I got it for 599 which is a fair price for the brand new panel, i wouldnt pay more than 649. But overall highly recommend!

Love the new screens. I bought to of the 280hz 27” oleds and the graphis are great paired with my pc and 5080 or switch 2. Blacks are perfect! Also have a window near by and the it hardly glares even with direct sunlight.

Awesome monitor, incredibly great colour saturation and clarity. Not going back to LCDlol

From first look looks good assembled, with no other chassis sound. Only one thing which questioning me is matte coating, which makes text reading and small details really bad. If there would be glossy anti glare, i would totally recommend for everyone

The LG UltraGear 27-inch OLED is a high-end gaming monitor that delivers incredible picture quality and motion clarity. It is not really a budget option, but it offers a level of clarity and responsiveness that will appeal to a wide range of gamers who are willing to spend a little more for the best picture quality. Design The UltraGear OLED has a clean and modern design built mostly from mixed materials, but it still looks sharp and fits well into most setups. The 27-inch tandem OLED panel runs at 2560 by 1440 and is surrounded by thin bezels that help keep the focus on the screen. There is no curve here, but the overall look is sleek and simple in a good way. Performance This is where the monitor really stands out. The OLED panel delivers a 280Hz refresh rate with extremely fast pixel transitions. Motion looks smooth and crisp, and there is basically no ghosting or smearing. It is one of the clearest gaming experiences you can get right now, and one of the best I’ve ever seen. Because it’s a tandem OLED panel, you also get perfect blacks, infinite contrast, and rich colors that pop without looking overdone. Brightness is greatly improved over single-layer OLED panels as well. Once you get used to this level of image quality, it is tough to go back to VA or IPS panels. HDR is present and looks far better than what you get on typical LCD monitors. Even with its tandem OLED panel, it does not reach the brightness of Mini LED displays, but the deep blacks and per-pixel lighting make HDR content look very impressive. Windows still has a tough time with HDR content outside of gaming, and sometimes even in games, so I tend to leave it off. The difference is noticeable, but the buggy nature of HDR on Windows PCs leads me to mostly leave it off. VRR support works well with both AMD and Nvidia cards, as it supports both FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync, so you will get smooth, tear-free gameplay no matter which GPU you use. Features LG includes a solid set of gaming features. You get things like on-screen crosshairs, frame counters, and picture presets for different genres. I tend to leave most of these off, but they work as intended if you like having them. There are also blue light reduction modes and productivity presets for people who plan to use this monitor for more than just gaming, but seriously, why would you? This monitor also comes with adjustable colored lighting that emits from the rear of the panel. While a cool feature, it doesn’t get very bright, nor can you adjust it to any color you please. The stand is fully adjustable and feels sturdy. This is a big plus because many monitors at this price point still come with limited or fixed stands that can be uncomfortable depending on your desk height. You get tilt, rotation, and height adjustment on a very sturdy and heavy base. Connectivity is strong as well. You get one DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, USB-C with display support, and a small USB 3 hub. USB-C is especially nice for future devices or a simple single-cable setup. Overall The LG UltraGear 27 inch (0.69 m) OLED is an outstanding choice for gamers who want top-tier motion clarity, perfect blacks, and a premium viewing experience. It costs more than typical gaming monitors, but the performance and picture quality make it worth considering if you want the best. Pros Perfect blacks and excellent contrast Extremely fast pixel transitions with no ghosting Rich and accurate colors Great HDR for an OLED panel Fully adjustable, sturdy stand Strong connectivity including USB-C G-Sync and FreeSync support Cons Still not quite as bright as high-end Mini LED monitors Potential for burn-in with static content Higher price than many gaming monitors

My first ever specific LG UltraGear Monitor OLED monitor and its eye gorgeous amazing. Here are the specs below..... - It's a 27-inch QHD (2560x1440) panel that runs at 280Hz with an insanely fast 0.03ms response time. - Typical brightness sits around 335 nits for regular SDR stuff. - For HDR, it hits up to 1500 nits peak brightness (at a tiny 1.5% window). - Covers 99.5% of DCI-P3, so colors are super vibrant. - Certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and UL Perfect Black. - Also UL verified for circadian rhythm friendliness and eye comfort. - Thanks to the new tandem OLED design, it should last longer than older OLEDs. In the box, it comes with... - HDMI cable - DisplayPort cable - USB-A to USB-B cable - Power brick and cable - User guides And the back connections have (2) HDMI ports at 2.1, (1) DisplayPort at 1.4, 2 USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm Audio out which I tried that also and it does support audio out and mic in. If your looking for USB-C ports, you will be disappointed there is none which I think every monitor should have at least one now days just in case its needed. I have this connected to my laptop with a Nvidia RTX 5070 and like pretty much all modern OLEDs, motion is incredibly crisp—basically zero ghosting—with that 280Hz refresh rate and ridiculously quick 0.03ms response. Right now, this thing is easily the brightest monitor you can buy, whether you're in SDR or HDR mode, and it's also crazy accurate color-wise while staying super sharp. Games like Death Stranding look awesome even in SDR, but HDR titles like Cyberpunk really shine—the neon highlights just pop in a way I've rarely seen. Honestly, for the first time ever with an OLED monitor, I actually had to turn the brightness down during late-night sessions because it was too intense. One thing to mention: when it's pushing those super-high peak brightness levels, it does give up a tiny bit of color accuracy, but for gaming it really doesn't matter at all. What really makes this monitor stand out for me is how well it handles blacks, especially when there's some light in the room. I've always leaned toward WOLED panels because they don't get that grayish raised-black look that QD-OLEDs can have in brighter settings. - OLED Screen Move: A pixel-shift thing that gently moves the image around to prevent static pixels from staying in one spot too long. - Black Stabilizer: Boosts the black levels so you can spot enemies more easily in dark areas of games. - OLED Screen Saver: Automatically turns the screen off after it's been idle for a while. - Crosshair: Puts a virtual crosshair on the screen that won't get flagged by anti-cheat systems. - Aspect Ratio: Lets you change the screen's aspect ratio. - OLED Image Cleaning: Runs a quick 10-minute pixel refresh cycle to help avoid burn-in issues. - DTS Headphone:X: Gives you simulated surround sound through headphones, with a few different sound modes to choose from. - FPS Counter: Displays your current frame rate right on the monitor. - Hexagon Lighting: You can customize the RGB lights on the back of the monitor. Im very impressed with it for being a awesome gaming monitor. Some may look away from this monitor due to it being a matte finish on the screen but I dont see it being a problem thus far, at least im not not seeing a glare reflection like I have seen on many monitors I have used or looked at. If your looking for specficially a gaming monitor, get this one.

Solid monitor for the sale price I paid ($600) i wouldn’t pay full price though. The colors are great once you dial it in took me a bit to configure the colors and contrast to my liking but thats not that big of a deal. The build quality is amazing solid base with a strong back plate with little to no shaking and lots of adjustments. The 1440p at 280hz is great and the hdr 500 makes games feel more real and alive. The settings on the monitor are easy to adjust and it has a lot of protection features to prevent burn in. Overall this monitor is very good if you can get it on sale for $600.

Pros: Excellent color saturation, good brightness, nice 27'' size. Cons: nothing in particular yet, although a little pricey when not on sale. So far I have been using this monitor for a little over two months and I am satisfied with my purchase. I initially upgraded from a 27'' 1080p IPS monitor to a 32'' 4k Samsung OLED, but found that to be too taxing on my PC to get the frame rates I want. After returning that monitor and purchasing this one, I am actually so happy I decided to "downgrade". I've noticed that I really like the 27'' size as there is less moving around the monitor that my eyes need to do to see all the content on the sides / corners of the screen. Also, without changing any of the settings out of the box, I've noticed that the colors are super saturated and pleasing to the eyes, especially reds and purples. The brightness is fine even with a window behind the monitor that gets a lot of indirect sun during the day (I keep the brightness at 60%). The finish is unobtrusive (as opposed to some other monitors with sandy-looking anti-glare finishes) and the bezels around the screen are about as thin as they could be. I'm no expert, but I definitely am happy with this purchase and look forward to using this monitor for a long time.

This is my first time purchasing an OLED monitor, and it does not disappoint. The LG UltraGear 27" OLED is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are incredibly vibrant, the blacks are truly deep, and the 280Hz refresh rate makes gaming feel unbelievably smooth. The 0.03ms response time is noticeably fast, and everything just looks crystal clear. I’m super excited to have this as my primary gaming monitor. It’s a huge upgrade, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance and picture quality. Highly recommended for any gamer looking to take their setup to the next level!

The new tandem OLEDs are pretty great. The main selling points are brightness (which, yeah, this thing gets bright) and a potential increase in longevity with the new tandem tech. That part has yet to be seen/tested thoroughly, since these have only been out for a year or less. But what this thing does, it does amazingly. Don't let anyone tell you this has washed out colors in HDR because they don't know how to set their monitor up. If you can't find an option that you enjoy, RTINGS has put up their review of this monitor, and included the color settings which they ultimately landed on. Using these settings from RTINGS, this is basically the perfect monitor. Buttery smooth 240fps performance with vivid colors and deep, DEEP blacks. Playing your favorite horror games on this would be an absolute blast. I've probably played about 30 hours in Amnesia: The Bunker since I got this monitor, and the darkness in that game is just exquisite on this monitor. And playing Elden Ring with SpecialK to get that HDR pop... Fuhgettaboutit. I wasn't sure that OLED was worth the hype before I bought this, but I've come around. Unfortunately, my main gaming monitor will have to be OLED going into the future, and LG is one of the top brands I'll be looking at going forward.

Color 8/10 Clarity 9/10 Smooth gameplay 10/10 Contrast 10/10 Brightness for OLED 10/10 I mainly use this monitor for fast-paced games liked call of duty and overwatch at 240 Hz(can do 280 no problem). Gameplay feels smooth with no noticeable lag or tearing. As a casual player, it’s more than enough and looks great. I’ve been using the monitor for a while now and overall it’s been a solid experience. The stand is one of the most sturdy I have ever seen and works so well, even though I personally have it monitor arm mounted. Color quality is good but not great. It doesn’t quite pop the way a QD-OLED panel does. The brightness is better than I expected and works well in a bright room. The matte screen finish is a big plus and helps reduce reflections. It also blends nicely with my matte IPS display, making my dual-monitor setup feel more consistent.

Amazing monitor, the oled panel definitely beats any regular monitor. Has a great peak brightness, better than other oleds I’ve seen. The matte finish is alright but I’d prefer a glossy one. But as for the monitor itself it’s sleek and has a great look to it. I also appreciate all the oled care components. However, I did end up getting a dead pixel, I’m sure I just got unlucky but I recommend a warranty for sure.

Was looking for an OLED and was between this and an Alienware. This monitor is a 4th generation Tandem. People online have had issues with grey banding. I am not one of them, this monitor is great! I enjoy everytime I use and it was the BestBuy employees that steered me in this direction!

There is no denying that OLED brightness and color depth destroys traditional IPS monitor. Coming from an Acer Predator 4k 144hz 1ms IPS with GSYNC and basic Freesync, the only thing lacking from this LG is its 2k display. The Letters on screen aren’t as smooth looking as the 4k with overall graphics ever so slightly less smooth. The massive advantage this monitor provides is 280hz and 0.03 ms response. It made it feel like my 4k display was lagging looking around in a game. The in game movements are snappy. Having an AMD 9070 XT the Freesync Premium Pro makes it that much better with no more screen tearing during gameplay. Going down from 4k to 2k the 9070 XT also gets a big FPS boost. Don’t forget with any OLED display to turn off the monitor and have no static images for prolonged periods. Turning it off after use also initiates another fantastic feature Image Cleaning which refreshes and scrubs any potential burn ins on the panel. Bought it Open Box excellent condition. came with some glue/sticky stuff on the screen (probably from tape) and a small dent on the bottom left of the screen. Still functions as it should and no issues with the image.

Coming from a 1440p 165hz IPS panel this is an excellent display. I have several LG OLED TVs but this is my first OLED monitor. It is surprisingly bright and vibrant. Text quality is exceptional and the overall build and aesthetic is premium. However, at $849.99, I cannot recommend it over the Gen 3 options that are coming down in price now. I got this monitor for $599.99 on sale, (which is crazy due to the fact it released for purchse in September). Being, basically the first tandem OLED on the market I am extremely happy with this monitor.

Sooooo bright, I upgraded from a 240hz 1080p LG monitor and OMG this thing is amazing. Matt coating is great for me since my room isn't 100% dark all of the time. Great on PC, just okay I'd say for console. I'd definitely recommend you get a 4k 120hz OLED TV or monitor for PS5/ Xbox. Perfect Monitor to just Plug and Play for PC gaming. I was able to snag one for $530.99 Open Box Excellent! No issues at all.
