The LG V40 represents the evolution of cameras on a mobile phone. The wide angle in front and back is, to me, the best choice LG made to their users. The unique item I belive they missed, is the capacity of the battery. Nowadays we really need more than that. It's not bad at all! But also is not the best one. Forget about buying other device. Until today, it is the best choice to a customer who cares about quality and tech solutions.

I love this phone. I'm very impressed with the workmanship in making this phone, which is a great improvement over the LG V20, and even greater improvement over the LG V30 Thin Q. I have owned both prior.

Only had it a few days. The fingerprint button is just that. A fingerprint reader. Unlike the LG6. The button on the side handles shutting off/on etc. Im still learning the phone. It also a little taller than the 6. Im very happy with the speed. And ease of use. The google assist is much better. Im happy i chose this phone. Got it unlocked for a little over 500. Out the door. Seems like a great phone. It seems like the battery may go down a little faster than the 6. But not that much difference so far. And the camera is supposed to be excellent. Im still learning all the functions on that. Seems like LG has another winner. Im a old LG Fan.

I can compare this to my s9+, the screen is almost as good, the sound it produce on this is the same or better than my s9+ the bass is better. it produce sound to Bluetooth device is the same as my s9+. don't get me wrong the s9+ is a great phone by all hardware and features. the camera on the v40 is amazing, overall its a handsome phone worth every high end phones out there, but with the great price I got it, cant be beat. its now sold out at best buy online, maybe they'll have it back or maybe they wont...

This phone would be better priced at about 700 dollars mainly because of the smaller battery and mediocre cameras. It also does not have a led notification light. The only reason the notch bothers me is because it limits what shows in my notification bar. If i have an alarm set there is not enough room to show me that my blu tooth is on. The good things are that the phone hasn't slowed at all yet. You can also set a different notification/text tone for everyone in your contacts. It is so nice knowing who is texting me without having to check. The phone sounds ok for not having front speaker. There could be more customization options as far as skins and icons go. The OS also takes up way to much room on this phone. If the internal storage was at least 128gb it wouldnt be such a big deal, but they fell short with the 64gb instead. I would recommend it for a sale price but definitely not full price.

Phone was easy to setup. I was a little hesitant at first to buy a phone that has a skin ui instead of just base android ( a la pixel ore android one devices) but so far experience is great. There is some bloatware to get rid of but nowhere near what htc used to throw at you. Pictures are quite good. Tbe triple shot feature can be good but mostly you should just figure out which mode fits the scene and just use single shot modes. The hi-res daq is very nice and soundstage adjustments are quite good to keep your ears from getting fatigued. Overall very good phone. Oh and having a physical fingerprint reader is also quite a bit better than in screen ones or face id offerings. The only face id that i thought worked consistently well and quick was the windows phone 10 (lumia 950) with the infrared iris scanner.

Great phone with nice display. Cameras are nice but an under sold feature is the DAC for music lovers. I use tidal with some high end headphones and have not been disappointed. I switched to LG specifically for the head phone jack and have not looked back. All phones nowadays have good cameras and apps are pretty universal whether it is ios or Android. Ask yourself what feature in a phone is important. For me it was music and other phones cannot compete.

If you don't like paying a grand for a phone this is one of your best options. Buying a one time flagship phone that is a few years old is a good way to get a phone that has specs similar to the newest phones. This phone is fast, has a great camera, and is the perfect size. Got it unlocked for $350 which is perfect. If in a year I lose or break it, I will go the same route. Can't beat it for the price! Love this phone!

For the first time ever, I decided to try an unlocked phone instead of a Verizon branded version. There are a few feature limitations by Verizon which means I cannot use Visual Voicemail...so instead I have to use the old school voicemail. I also suspect that I do not have access to all of Verizon's data bands. On the upside, I do not have all of the uninstallable Verizon app bloat. Since I purchased what is considered an older model, Best Buy's sale price was a big factor in motivating this purchase versus buying something comparable through Verizon. The sale price made it an easy choice to choose this feature rich phone over others that might be a newer model...but are more expensive...or dropping to a mid-range phone that doesn't have water resistance or wireless charging. My previous phone was the LG G4 which I loved except for the well documented quality issues. LG took care of me on that phone so I was inclined to try another LG phone. LG also offers a second year of warranty on the V40...which was easy to register for. I will say that the build quality is very good and have no real complaints so far. I love the audio quality and volume.

Got the iPhone 11 Pro recently and returned after I found this on sale. From $950 down to $400, it means I'm getting a $950 phone at a great price. 3 lenses that take amazing shots. Camera is very good. Video recording is very good too. It's fast and has a manageable size. I love it.

I was waiting for this phone for a while and bought it as soon as it went on sale. Love it more than Samsung phones I owned and there is nothing to sacrifice, meanwhile you pay twice as less. The design is very sleek and classy. The phone doesn't feel cheap at all! The display is not saturated but is colorful enough. All functions are there for an average user: calls, texts, internet browsing and streaming, social media and using other apps. This phone is very fast. The speaker is loud. The fingerprint sensor works flawlessly and I like its position on the back of the phone, right in the center (hard to miss:) The main and the greatest feature of this phone is the camera! This is why I chose this phone. The pictures are spectacular! And I do demand high quality since I am into cell phone photography. There is nothing I can complain about and I highly recommend this phone to anybody!:)

I don't usually write reviews but rating the phone I would probably give it 3.5 stars, if I could. I've had this phone for about a month. I love the screen quality and the camera is awesome. The speaker is crazy loud. However, a few things that are a little disappointing. 1)The knock on feature and fingerprint sensor stops working spontaneously. To turn on my phone I have to use the actual unlock button, which really is no big deal, except I have to really press it in to get my phone on. 2) The sides of my screen are not always responsive like they should be. 3)The battery life is not the greatest. If I want to get a full day of battery, I cant really use it as much as I would like to. 4) I've noticed that when I listen to music or watch something, there is a lot of vibration. I don't know if that's normal but I don't like it.

Before getting this phone I did a lot of research on this phone and a couple others like the samsung galaxy note 9 etc. I decided to get this phone because it was cheaper, it has expandable storage up to 2tb, has 5 camera's which take pretty good pictures, the boombox speaker which sound great and there is so much other stuff thatnmakes this phone great. One flaw for some people is maybe the battery but it beats my lg k20 plus phone battery. I have had this phone for over a week and I dont regret buying it.

After my Pixel 3XL died after a year, I was looking for something similar. This is not similar. This is much nicer! The battery life is adequate, cameras are fine, and the overall feel of the phone is very comfortable. and, IT HAS A HEADPHONE JACK and SD card slot! The only downside is the lack of software support: it's currently running Android 9. Hopefully that support will be coming soon. Overall, very happy with this phone (it was my first LG) and will continue to test its limits.

I had a V30 that I loved, buy it finally decided to retire. I looked at several brands but I always go back to LG because they offer a free 2nd year warranty. For the price this is a steal. The camera has so many modes for making your own avatar, selfies, stickers, portrait, AI, etc. I am very happy with my purchase & would recommend this phone. I have AT&T and since this phone is unlocked, activation was a breeze.

Sleeker than my old G6, a little lighter, I think; but the screen size is the same. Responsive keyboard and fast processor. Both the exterior and the screen scratch easily, so invest in a good case and tempered glass overlay immediately when purchasing. If you like photography, this phone probably has the most elaborate photo system out there, with six separate cameras.

The camera takes fabulous pictures very happy with them. The processor is fast no issues running multiple items on my phone. I am very happy with the size its not to big to handle and big enough to actually see what your are doing or reading without zooming in really far.

This phone strikes a balance between features and performance and price. I chose it because It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, slot for a uSD card, and the case has an IP68 rating (basically waterproof). Other reviews I read stated that the battery life is not great, and I tend to agree. I would highly recommend this phone.

Had a hunch about this phone so thought I would try it. I couldn't be happier. I'm in a poor reception area I need a phone with good cellular reception. Turns out it has the best of any phone out as of now even the Note 9. Camera is almost professional quality. I'm learning new things about every day.
