At this price point, I honestly did not know what to expect. I purchased the unit to boost the AC in a large storage room (maybe 1200sqft) because it just gets crazy hot where i live. Although the installation instructions are a little vague on some points, with a little common sense and very careful install planning, It it is not a particularly difficult job. You will need to invest in some gauges and vac equipment if you don't already have them because you will need to vac the lines before running. You will need to be ready to cut a hole in the side of your house, and depending on your situation, you will need to find a way to get power to the unit. If you have never done that kind of work before, probably you will want to hire some one to do it. But i believe it is genuinely in reach for an experienced DIYer. That being said - if you do it yourself, I am pretty sure you will get no warranty. Some things worth noting: 1) The line set with this unit is pretty short - maybe 16 feet. If you need additional distance, you will need to extend it, but there is no information in the manual indicating how much additional refrigeration charge per foot is recommended by the manufacturer. So, you can search for general guidelines for this size unit, and maybe that would work. Hard to say. Safe bet of course is to stick to the supplied line lengths. 2)So I knew I would need every inch of supplied lines based on where it was going, and I laid everything out based on that. It turns out, when I went to hook up the control wire - the control wire is a couple feet SHORTER than the refrigerant lines. YIKES! That was a pain. So I would plan on maybe no more than 12ft max distance from Indoor unit to Compressor. 3) Mini Splits use a 5/16th service valve - gauges typically have 1/4". You will need an adapter. So with all that said, the unit runs GREAT, is WHISPER QUIET both indoors and out, and is super cold and WONDERFUL! And with the satisfaction only a die hard DIYer can appreciate, I love the HUGE savings.

I wished the fan would run off on cool when it satisfies I’m aware it’s for better air circulation but it be nice, once thing that offsets that that is nice the Ai automation feature on the app nice touch

Mini split uses R32 which save energy in comparison to R410. It is very efficient.

Great unit. Works great. The garage is freezing even in the summer months.

Worked for 1 week. Can get no help from manufacturer or Best Buy. Neither company takes responsibility. Tried contacting Litzen by email only way available but they won’t respond. Best Buy answers with AI but won’t transfer to live agent.
