- Description: Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ludovico Einaudi's Divenire with a new 2LP pressing on transparent orange vinyl for Record Store Day 2026. Divenire, meaning 'to become', includes instrumentation beyond solo piano, and the recording features cello, electronics and members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on a selection of the pieces. Einaudi himself describes the album concept as being tied to nature, movement and transformation, and his inspiration developed from his experiences performing his compositions in the Dolomites at a festival in 2002 InchDivenire (Becoming) developed over a long period, beginning in 2002 when I was invited by the organisers of the festival InchI Suoni delle DolomitiInch (The Sounds of the Dolomites) to write a composition which I would be performing on a plateau 2000 metres up in the Dolomites against the backdrop of the Pale di San Martino. For that occasion I wrote a suite for piano, two harps and string orchestra, taking my inspiration from three paintings by the nineteenth -century Swiss artist Giovanni Segantini, La vita, La natura and La morte (Life, Nature and Death). Performing with the orchestra in those spectacular surroundings was an extremely intense experience. I felt as if I were in a stream tumbling down a mountain-side, not only immersed in it, but an actual part of that unstoppable rush of water, and had that intoxicating sensation one feels when involved in a physical activity in contact with powerful natural forces, speed, water, space and wind. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album.
