Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of the British post-punk band's second album, originally released in 1978. Chairs Missing peaked at #48 in the UK Albums Chart. Although it features some of the minimalist punk rock of the band's debut Pink Flag, it features more developed song structure (taking some cues from 1970s prog-rock, psychedelia, and art rock), keyboard and synthesizer elements brought in by producer Mike Thorne, and a broader palette of emotional and intellectual subject matter. The single InchOutdoor MinerInch was a minor hit, peaking at !51 in the UK Singles Chart. Wire's first three albums need no introduction. They are the three classic albums on which Wire's reputation is based. Moreover, they are the recordings that minted the post-punk form. This was adopted by other bands, but Wire were there first. Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 . Four albums in, the convenient and generalized catchphrase for HERE LIES MAN's erudite sound - if Black Sabbath played Afrobeat - might seem a little played out. But Ritual Divination is perhaps the best rendering of the idea so far. Particularly on the Sabbath side of the equation The guitars are heavier and more blues based than before, but the ancient rhythmic formula of the clave remains a constant. The L.A. based band comprised of Antibalas members have toured relentlessly following their breakout 2017 self-titled debut. Their second album, You Will Know Nothing and an EP, Animal Noises, both followed in 2018. Third album No Ground To Walk Upon emerged in August 2019. All of them were crafted by Garcia and cofounder/drummer Geoff Mann (former Antibalas drummer and son of jazz musician Herbie Mann) in their L.A. studio between tours. Ritual Divination is their first album recorded as the full 4-piece band, including bassist JP Maramba and keyboardist Doug Organ. Album Tracks 1. In These Dreams 2. I Told You (You Shall Die) 3. Underland 4. Night Comes 5. Come Inside 6. Collector of Vanities 7. Disappointed 8. The Fates Have Won 9. Out Goes the Night

Nervous Gender's legendary synthpunk LP Music From Hell burbles up from infernal depths to resurface on Dark Entries! Confrontational, unhinged, and unabashedly queer, Music from Hell is an unholy grail for fans of the strangest underbellies of post-punk, minimal synth, and early industrial music, and is presented here newly remastered and on expanded double LP. Nervous Gender (de)formed in LA in 1978 at the hands of Phranc, Gerardo Velaquez, Edward Stapleton, and Michael Ochoa. Phranc, the androgynous embodiment of the band's name, left in 1980. Following her departure, a wide cast of LA freaks would find themselves drawn into the band's orbit, including Alice Bag of the Bags, Paul Roessler of the Screamers, the Germs' Don Bolles, and an 8-year old drummer named Sven Pfeiffer. In 1980, Nervous Gender appeared on the seminal Live at Target compilation alongside Factrix, uns, and Flipper. With the band's notoriety cemented, Music from Hell followed in 1981 on Subterranean Records (as no LA tag would touch this material). Side A, dubbed InchMartyr ComplexInch, presents a more punk-forward sound with live drum salvos and slabs of aggressive synth. These twitchy, unsettling shockers ooze with the kind of snotty misanthropy that will endear them to fans of the Screamers or Crass. Side B, known as InchBeelzebub YouthInch, is a live performance the band labeled Inchan electronic bruto-canto dissertation on the banality of spiritual transcendence.Inch Mutant melodies cede way to synthesized clangs, whirs, bleeps, manipulated tapes, and howls of despair. In addition to all the material from the original LP, we're treated to a full disc of the band's demos, the material from the Live at Target compilation, and early live recordings. Included are unrecognizable covers of Carly Simon and Lou Reed, and the S*x Pistols that are so despairingly skewed they fall into the void. This r
