About this product
This album was inspired by my trip to Bahia, to the coastal rainforest of Brazil, the Mata Atlantica, an ecoregion even richer in species than the Amazon, but of which more than 90% is destroyed, and the rest is highly fragmented. The beauty and lushness of this nature, it's colors and it's sounds, it's wildness, but also it's vulnerability, have never left me since. It's diversity and complexity have inspired us to create this musical homage. From contributions of many wonderful musicians my friend Markus Reuter has created this manifold collage, a sonic biotope, which tries to do justice to the magic of this region. Features Markus Reuter (Stick Men) and Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) Album Tracks 1. Candles in Brazil 2. Quando Como Aranhas 3. Sempre O Mesmo 4. Mata 5. Se Deus Quiser 6. Um Beijo Selvagem 7. O Fim Do Mundo

Fapy Lafertin is a leading light in jazz, a legendary figure and guardian of the flame. He is also a great guitarist. Here he fronts his New Quartet represents the cream of the young guard of Inchstring jazzInch in Belgium, with Alexandre Tripodi and Renaud Dardenne (the InchViolons de BruxellesInch) and Cédric Raymond, known for his work with Tcha Limberger, Toots Thielemans etc. The album ranges between gypsy jazz - one of the most attractive, animated expressions of swing in continental Europe - and the choro and fado genres of Brazil and Portugal, whose Atlantic melodies are full of romanticism and sensitivity. The guitarist and his companions, all of them tuneful stylists, here invite us to fly through the air on a voyage that defies gravity. Album Tracks 1. Torontoi Emlek 2. La Belle Vie 3. My Romance 4. Vibracoes 5. The Baltic 6. Turn 7. Cinzano 8. Fantasie en Sol 9. It's Alright with Me 10. Pixinguinha Em Lisboa 11. Japanese Sandman 12. Platcherida 13. Carnation
