With brightness up, schoolwork use it lasts about 5-6 hours (which is pretty good i think). It has a smooth, velvet surface on the keyboard. Size of the laptop is perfect, and the screen is nice and clear. It is touch screen and that's a plus for me. It does run fairly smooth.

Refurbished and...dented, dirty

Very disappointed in the appearance of the refurbished product: there are several (>5) dents including one on the left front corner where it was clearly dropped. Best Buy shipped the product with dirt and sticky tape residue all over the cover. At least the laptop appears to work okay so far - but it's only been a couple of hours. Bottomline: I would not purchase a Geek Squad Certified Refurbished product again.

Microsoft makes a great laptop. Geeksquad refurbishment is hit or miss. Certified working and it is for the most part. Would buy again
