I have been using the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 (13.5”, i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Black Metal) for a good while now, and I can confidently say it is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. It is light enough to carry around easily, but still feels solid and well manufactured. When it comes to performance, the Surface Laptop 5 really delivers. The Intel Evo i7 processor paired with 16GB of RAM makes multitasking effortless. I can have multiple browser tabs open, run Office apps, edit documents, and CAD all at once without any hiccups. The 13.5” touch-screen is another highlight. It is crisp, bright, and responsive, and I did not expect to use the touch feature much, but I actually find myself using it all the time, especially when scrolling or zooming. The keyboard is also fantastic: quiet, comfortable, and satisfying to type on, and the trackpad is smooth and accurate. Battery life has been solid for my use, easily getting me through a full day of college course work without needing to plug in. And the fast charging is a bonus when I do need to recharge. Overall, it is a stylish and powerful laptop for work, school, or everyday use. I highly recommend the Surface Laptop 5. It is a great balance of performance, portability, and premium design.

This laptop is very lightweight and I love the touchscreen feature. I'm a freshman in college with a business major and so far this laptop has not let me down. I originally was going to get a Mac but after watching a lot of video reviews I decided that a Windows laptop would be the smarter option. The battery lasts me all day and just in case I need to save my battery there is a battery saver feature. The screen display is also amazing. The reason I gave this laptop a 4-star review and not a 5 is because the camera on the laptop is only 720p and I believe it could be better. However, the laptop does use Windows Hello meaning you can log into your laptop with just your face, very convenient. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who needs something for work, school, or personal use.

My daughter picked this out for college. She wanted small and lightweight, and this laptop is both those things. What really sealed the deal is the shape and size of the screen. It's square rather than rectangular, so it is taller than most similarly sized laptops. This small difference in dimensions makes a huge difference in the amount of content that can be seen on the page, as the page's "fold" is farther down on the screen. Compare the same webpage on this laptop to a similar one and you'll see a big difference. The only problem is the price. Even on sale, it was more expensive than all other laptops with similar specs - but no other laptop had this awesome square screen!

My husband and I own two Surface 3 computers and one Surface 5. They are incredibly easy to use and have lots of programs installed. I use mine for reading emails and playing games and my huaband uses both of his for work and pleasure. They are very light and easy to travel with. We take them everywhere. We would both highly recommend.

As a software engineer my preference was slim, comparatively medium screen and finally most important is performance. I found development environment, code compile, debugging and execution of code output performance seems faster. Finally this color looks soft and unique..

I had the microsoft surface laptop 3 13.5" back in 2020 REALLY great versatile laptop. Touch screen, beautiful sandtone color , im not a gamer so I cant write much of a review on the device capabilities with gaming. Otherwise this laptop feels sturdy with the aluminum build. The mouse pad does make noise but not enough to be a nuisance and you get used to it. Storage gigabyte is awesome!!! easy to use laptop with microsoft software that helps you navigate the laptop in terms of functionality. It gets the done and more. Now for the con, my biggest issue is how fast the battery life depletes, i feel as though i have to keep charger close by. Hope microsoft can work on future models being more anle to sustain usage without losing charge so fast. Overall im glad i purchased it.

Fast, Easy, and does everything I need it too..Works for my kids schooling and play time, works for my business needs as well as personal..

I love the new surface! I loved my old one too, but it ended up kicking the bucket from old age. I really love the focus sessions and phone link features! Almost bought a Mac, but I would miss the touch screen too bad, and phone link lets me text from my laptop :)

This laptop is amazing. It runs all my programs with no issue. I really enjoy the keyboard and touch screen features. Perfect for a college student! Super light and works well. I enjoy the high quality feel and sleek look. I only had an issue once, and the warranty covered it for free.

This is one of the best laptops I’ve owned, it has a very fast processor . I love this laptop I can say it better the the MacBook I own.

I’ve only owned this laptop for approximately 39 days. The screen has a glitch, which I initially assumed was just a minor malfunction. After some thorough research it seems to be common for this particular computer. Don’t waste your money, none of the troubleshooting solves the issue. It’s the display driver, which means the computer has to be repaired, returned, or replaced with a new device.
