A: I just (Nov. 2020) purchased one (digital) of these. And that was after reading one of the responses above, claiming it converted theirs into GPU. I was able to redeem mine for the stated 12 months of XBL (no GPU). I think there would be an uproar if these were selling as one thing and redeeming as another, without at least explicit warning of such. You should be safe.
A: There really is no difference other than one you have to go out and get and the other you can purchase and download from the comfort of your home...
Q: Is the Xbox Live card good to use on Xbox one also? Or does the card have to say Xbox one?
A: It can be used with any Xbox live account, be it Xbox 360, Xbox one, Xbox one s, or Xbox x.

A: They email you your code
A: This item doesn’t include games but instead just the Xbox live subscription that allows you to play online with others. Although every month Xbox gives out a few games out with a thing called Games with Gold, which is easy to find in the store. If you decide to purchase the game pass by itself it will not come with Xbox live to play with others you would be required to purchase it separately, but if you were to get the “game pass ultimate” subscription it includes a wide selection of games and gives you the ability to do both. Otherwise you have to go with one or the other.

Q: Is it just a beane or is it the full game?
A: It’s not the game. It’s 3 months of Xbox live plus a beenie.
