Miles goes deep
Featuring four titles, all of them Swahili names for the numbers one through four, Dark Magus is a jam record. By this point, Miles was no longer really rehearsing his bands; they showed up and caught a whiff of what he wanted and went with it.

Accurate title....

I like Frank Zappa, but Miles Davis should stick to Trumpet. The recording is good, but the composition is not what I think is as listenable as his other albums. The title is possible the best, dark and blurry. If these musicians were to play the Grand Wazoo by Zappa, that may blow Zappa away, but like I said it's the composition, nothing else that is my disappointment.
