About this product
Deluxe two disc (CD/DVD) edition. 2010 live from the Indie Rock favorites. The CD and DVD (entitled Burning) were recorded at the same show, but present slightly different track listings which translates into different experiences for each . The three night residency they recorded at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg in early 2009 presented itself as a modern urban noir thriller, a black-and-white journey which starts on the same electrifying New York streets Bernard Hermann scored for Martin Scorsese. For a band who come to such epic, monumental life in the live arena, it might be surprising to some that this is the first official live compilation they've ever released. Album Tracks 1. I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead 2. Friend of the Night 3. Hunted By a Freak 4. Mogwai Fear Satan 5. Cody 6. You Don't Know Jesus 7. I Know You Are But What Am I? 8. I Love You, I'm Going to Blow Up Your School 9. 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong 10. Like Herod 11. Glasgow Megasnake 1. The Precipice 2. I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead 3. Hunted By a Freak 4. Like Herod 5. New Paths to Helicon Part 1 6. Mogwai Fear Satan 7. Scotland's Shame 8. Batcat

Mogwai's groundbreaking debut album 'Young Team', originally released in October 2007 is now reissued in February 2023, remastered and refreshed on coloured vinyl, CD and digital. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with original artwork, the sky-blue vinyl will come with a digital download code. The original recording engineer for the album, Paul Savage, whose production credits include Franz Ferdinand and The Twilight Sad, has remastered the album for this special reissue. After a brace of critically acclaimed singles and a host of incendiary live shows, there was a palpable sense of anticipation over the of Mogwai's debut long player. Arriving 25 years ago, little has happened since to diminish it's impact stylistically at odds with what was rapidly becoming the fag-end of Britpop, 'Young Team' was an obstreperous exercise in dynamics and fury - the unapologetically avant-garde nestled alongside tracks of poignant, delicate beauty. Album Tracks 1. Yes! I Am a Long Way from Home 2. Like Herod 3. Katrien 4. Radar Maker 5. Tracy 6. Summer (Priority Version) 7. With Portfolio 8. R U Still in 2 It 9. A Cheery Wave from Stranded Youngsters 10. Mogwai Fear Satan
