Customer Ratings & Reviews

This motherboard has been perfect for my pc! I wanted to find the balance between price to performance and this motherboard is it! It pairs well with my MSI 4080 graphics card and it offers all the features I wanted at a great price! The only problem I had was a slow bootup time but the solution was to go into the BIOS and put "Memory Context Restore" to enabled. This helped the slow boot up time and I haven't had any problems since!

Built a new system with the AMD Ryzen 7800 X3D (socket AM5). I was looking for a solid motherboard at the top of the B650 category. MSI's Tomahawk came highly rated and this board did not disappoint. Easy set up and great bios. The aesthetic is a no frills simple black everywhere. Plenty of ports around especially if you want to add LEDs or such, I opted for three Corsair LED fans on the front of the system. Only drawback is PCIe 4.0 instead of PCIe 5.0. However, currently all graphics cards are 4.0 and even the M2 PCIe 5.0 hardrives give that more of a performance boost based on day-to-day usage--so I opted for more storage (4TB) at the lower 4.0 speed which was a good trade off. All around, very happy with this board and the new PC build.

Great mobo. Had all the connections, ports, and features I needed. And the MSI BIOS and RGB controller softwares are pretty intuitive to use.

This motherboard is great, it’s good for overclocking, it supports a great chipset, ddr5, gen 6 pcie and so so much more it’s a wonderful motherboard

This is a great motherboard! It feels solid, lots of ports, easy to set up, and the bios is pretty clean.

This is my second Tomahawk board for me. The very first one was the b350, the b550 and that lasted me up intil 3 weeks ago when I sold it in perfect working condition. I neede to upgrade to AM5 and at first I had purchased the x870 tomahawk for more $$. Upon opening the socket cover was loose and there some bent pins (thats for another review). After not being able to get x870 because it was out of stock, I went with this one. I was able to get the latest bios from Dec 11th 2024 and update. I have this paired with 9800x3d bought on Best Buys app. Yes plenty of of usb ports and the 3 m.2 slots are alright even though one is gen 3. The board feels solid and hasn't given me any problems so far. For $100 less than x870 as of this writing, it is still a good price. I wasn't looking for a fancy rgb motherboard, just one that does the job very well for my needs. The vrms are also very good at 14+2 phase Duet Rail VRM with 80A Power Stage for the AMD B650 chipset. Happy Gaming and work with the B650 from MSI

Very easy to set up. This being the second build I have ever done I was nervous to take a second crack. I have seen a lot of issues regarding the new ryzen series and bios updates, but I followed a guide and made sure to format my usb drive less than 32 gigs to fat32. This made the bios update extremely easy and painless. Highly recommend!

If you’re building a killer gaming rig or a productivity powerhouse, the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi is a solid pick. This board is packed with features that make it a great fit for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. The AM5 socket and DDR5 support future-proof your build, and the WiFi 6E ensures you’re ready for blazing-fast wireless speeds. What I love most is how user-friendly it is. The BIOS is clean and easy to navigate, even for beginners, and the build quality feels premium without breaking the bank. The VRMs are robust enough to handle overclocking, and the cooling solutions keep things running smoothly even under load. Plus, the black aesthetic is sleek and pairs well with almost any build.

I really like the board so far. This board comes with a lot of sata ports, Ut gas a titak if 6 sata ports which is rare these days, but I like having multiple 2.5 inch sata ssds to run multiple operating systems, and this board fits that bill.

I recently upgraded to the MSI B650 Tomahawk motherboard and I'm genuinely impressed with its ease of use and straightforward setup process. The BIOS interface is refreshingly simple to navigate, making it ideal for both new builders and seasoned enthusiasts looking to fine-tune their system without hassle. One of the standout features for me has been the BIOS updating process—MSI has made it incredibly straightforward. With just a few clicks, I was able to update the BIOS, ensuring that my system was up-to-date with the latest features and optimizations. This motherboard strikes a perfect balance between robust performance and user-friendly design, making it a top choice for anyone looking to build with AMD's latest chipsets.

Came from an AM4 Socket ASUS tuf gaming x570 after upgrading to an AM socket CPU (ryzen 7 7800 x3d) noticeable improvement and capabilities. Little tricky getting the bios and boot priority set (check bios to see if the current boot is CSM or UEFI) as your OS may not boot properly if not selected on the correct setting. Reflashing the bios took a little time to navigate, but overall very satisfied with the drivers, software-assisted programs, and connection layout during installation! Very solid and good looking motherboard. High quality feel and colors that match well with almost any components. Everything on the board was clearly labled which made instalation a breeze.

Lots of usb ports, lots of available slots for none, was easy to use and pretty easy to find all the proper slots despite being my first pc build.

Firstly to all Gamers this motherboard is very good for your PC. MSI does tend to lack in some features but it is still fine. A few issues I have with this motherboard is the methods used by MSI to update the BIOS. I mean it’s probable that its BIOs will be outdated but please beware that you must update your motherboard once you get it because XMP will cause blue screen. I SAY IT ONCE AGAIN PLEASE UPDATE YOUR BIOS TO AVOID ISSUES. Currently I have a defect on my motherboard with its onboard audio crackling and will try to get that replaced. Overall this motherboard does what it does, its usb ports are convenient on the IO.

Never had an msi motherboard until now it has many gadgets and even stickers if youre a fan of them i love my motherboard its really good quality and performance would definitely buy again anytime.

supports 3 total m.2 nvme drives which is fantastic if you like having all your games downloaded and ready like me. the 6e onboard wifi is awesome and allowed me to remove my old wifi card and just use the onboard wifi with a better antenna i had. all in all its a fantastic board if you want to upgrade to am5, and it wont fry your ryzen 7 7800x3d like a certain asus board (lol)

Great motherboard for high-end gaming. Its super easy build with and the bios is straightforward. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from a lower gen socket to the newer AM5 platform. (The new board is on the left, the old intel board is on the right)

This is an excellent motherboard, I bought it mostly for aesthetics, but it turns out to be one of the best motherboards I’ve pirchased. Price and quality beat any other ones out there. It boots up fast as well as looks perfect with my case. It was easy to install and had cute stickers to match lol.

The motherboard works great I’ve never had any problems, and I love the amount of fan ports.
