I like this better than Pelican 1400. They have similar size, but different material. Nanuk 225 offers a more grippy surface texture, where Pelican 1400 is so smooth and feel like it will break if dropped. The locking latch on Nanuk is larger and gives me a better peace of mind as it locks very tightly. I actually have Pelican 1010 which is smaller than 1400 that its hinges just broke when I opened it, after leaving it in the range bag for about 2 months. I didn't bang it or dropped it at all. The plastic material on Pelican is just so fragile, compared to Nanuk. I'm phasing out Pelican small cases, and replacing them with Nanuk 225.
