Q: Is this adapter Linux and OpenElec compatible?
A: It is super linux compatible, as long as you have a recent version of linux. Compatibility with this device has been included since kernel version 3.12 (see https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_WNDA4100 ) I use it with Ubuntu 14.04 and didn't have to set anything up at all, just plugged it in. I haven't tested it with OpenElec, but in theory it should work just the same as long as it is based on kernel version 3.12 or later. I looked on the OpenELEC web site and found that version 4.1 & version 4.2 are based on kernel version 3.16, so I'd be very surprised if this didn't work right out of the box for you.
A: We have Uverse, so this works with it. It uses a USB plug and plugs into any USB port on your computer.
