I upgraded to the Nighthawk BE18000 from an older Wi-Fi 5 router, and the difference has been huge. Streaming, gaming, and general browsing all feel noticeably faster, especially when multiple devices are running at the same time. The 6 GHz band in particular has been great for low-latency tasks and video calls. Setup was straightforward through the Netgear app, and firmware updates installed automatically. I also liked that the router supports multi-gig WAN/LAN, which makes it feel future-proof for faster broadband upgrades. The unit is physically larger than expected, but the build feels premium and heat hasn’t been an issue. Price is definitely on the higher end, but considering the performance boost and stability, I feel the upgrade was worth it. So far, zero dropped connections, no random resets, and noticeably better coverage in the further corners of the house.

So I have had the Netgear- Nighthawk BE18000- WiFi 7 Triband system for the last 3 and 1/2 months now. It's running a 2.3gbps fiber network. I got it specifically for the WiFi 7 capabilities, for the max download and upload speed of 19Gbps on WiFi 7, it has a 10gbps ethernet port which works flawless, the rest of the ethernet ports are 1gbps max. It also runs the max WiFi capabilities of all your devices, so by device it will automatically change to either WiFi 5, WiFi 6, WiFi 6E, and WiFi 7. The 3 bands it offers are 2.4GHz BE: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 4096-QAM 20/40MHz, up to 1.4Gbps 5GHz BE: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 4096-QAM 20/40/80/160MHz, up to 5.8Gbps 6GHz BE: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 4096-QAM 20/40/80/160/320MHz, up to 11.5Gbps The processing speed of the the BE18000 is phenomenal I runs a Quad-core 2.6GHz processor. It can handle up to 200 concurrent devices and it handles them flawlessly. I have about 25 devices connected to the BE18000 and they are all different bands and GHz's but it handles them fast, cleanly and efficiently, I have not yet experienced any issues in this area. The Max range is 3500 square feet due to the 12 WiFi streams. It also has 8 high power internal antennas with high power amplifiers. It's also VPN ready as well, as well as MU-MIMO capable, it also has uplink and downlink OFDMA and the memory it has is a 512MB NAND flash and 2GB RAM. The last thing is setup and it is so easy to set up, just download the NighthHawk app and follow the steps on the app and it will be up and running in 5 minutes with the firmware updated. The Security manager is Netgear Armour and it offers a variety of security services and in my experience it is great and has worked awesome for me, it has stopped over 85 different scanning and probe attacks on my devices. So you get 30 days of Netgear Armour for free with the BE18000 and then after the 30 days it should cost 50$ for a year which isn't bad and you get good tools from it, so in my opinion it is worth it alot of people will disagree or criticize me for it but it comes down to personal choice, look at everything it offers and what your needs are and if they align or if you like the features and software, you have the 30 day trial use it to see it's worth it to you. So all in all I love this router it's everything I wanted and needed and then some. Hope this helps I tried to be specific and cross reference my data so it's accurate. Sorry for the lengthy review but I hope this helps you guys that are on the fence or looking for an upgrade!

This modem/router combo actually delivers what most others only promise. I have gig+ internet and I’m finally seeing full speeds on both wired and WiFi connections. Uploads and latency are noticeably better than my previous Netgear setup. No sudden drops, no overheating, and no random reboots even with multiple smart devices, TVs, cameras, Xbox, and work VPN running at the same time. Setup couldn’t be easier. Scan the QR on top, connect, activate with Xfinity, and done. No headaches. The LED indicators are very clear and useful not just decorative lights.

Title: Best bang for your buck Description: This router has countless features, but even if you don't use them, the value over any other US based products is unbeatable! After returning my Google Nest mesh system, I was frustrated that there weren't any affordable mesh systems by companies I could trust. This router proved to be more than enough to cover my two bedroom town home. When I downloaded the manual I was pleasantly surprised with the level of customization offered by the NETGEAR team. You guys really outdid yourselves with this 10GBE wireless router.

Set up was nice and strait forward. Was able to configure the name, password, and guest WiFi from the app. It’s nice that it automatically assigns which frequency to place a device. My PS5 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro have noticeably better speeds now that WiFi 6 is used. Able to handle all my devices with ease(20).

Nice Router: 1 Gb throughput, easy to program, Netgear has a good reputation and so far have found nothing to change my mind about that. Don’t know why Armor Active should cost $150/year, other manufacturers provide this functionality for free with lower-cost routers. Nice features include guest network, physical button to kill WiFi, and an easy-to use app that lets you set up the basics and monitor (you’ll still need to know how to access with a browser if you want to do things like change subnets).

Replaced an existing router. Setup was straight forward. Was up and running in 10 minutes. Performance (speed, bandwidth, and range) has been excellent.

Great router! I tried the mesh system first and it didn’t work well for my house, but this router is great!

Awesome product. Best and fastest router I’ve ever experienced!!

Overall, it has been a nightmare to try and get hooked up and going. It doesn't like to cooperate through the app and there are many others like it close to the same model/serial #. Your provider might just look up the item and log the wrong product into your account. Honestly, you'd be better off just getting a modem/router combo.

Best router I have had in a long time. Whole house (2800 SQFT, two floor) coverage. Throughput, especially WiFi7, amazing. I like the Armor subscription which not only covers the network, but allows 50 devices to run a version of Bitdefender. It is pricey, but cheaper than a good quality mesh network, especially when on sale. If you don't have a large space, you may want to look at the the two models below this (RS500 and RS400), which are similar except peak speed a bit slower, and less coverage range.

Description: Looks nice, takes less space being taller. Easy setup, though it made me make a Netgear account. I'm not a fan of yet another set of login creds I don't foresee ever using till I purchase and setup another router. Performance and range are great. I host dedicated game servers for family member game nights, and they noticed latency was considerably better and more stable. I've seen more low tech user friendly port forwarding hand holding, but I personally had no trouble setting it up. This purchase was an exchange of an ASUS gaming router that crashed, lost internet, didn't respond to app or admin page in browser and had to be power cycled. Had it less than a month and after the fourth outage exchanged it. The first time was day 1. This Netgear router is going strong and stable, no issues.

Was really easy to setup with the app. Performance has been great with multiple devices in home. Added plus: the design of product is very sleek and attracive.

This Wi-Fi access point is a great choice for anyone with a home office. The setup process was straightforward and fast—I had it up and running in under 15 minutes without any issues. One feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to aggregate two Ethernet ports on the router for connecting a local network drive. This feature significantly improved performance, especially when multiple users were accessing the network storage at the same time, resulting in faster data transfer and a smoother overall experience.

Really not bad for WiFi. Within 40mbs~ of Ethernet. Actually very impressive. Decent house coverage. In a poor location in my new house at the moment and still able to reach the other side of a 2700 sq ft area. Connection a bit slower on the far other side of house, closer to 500mbs instead of 960, but that’s par for course and most likely a result of the weird spot it’s in. 8k streaming works fine with multiple devices running. Again, pretty cool for WiFi. Difference between this router and previous 6E router was substantial, 350~mbs, if that matters to you. Also doesn’t look like a weird crystal monster, like some of their others—might be a plus or minus if you like that kinda thing.

It replaced my aging 9 years old netgear nighthawk which was showing its age. I tend to future proof my tech buys and compared it with similar specs of other companies. Given my previous experience between Netgear products especially the installation process/phone app. The installation was breeze. The increased speed was noticeable and range is quite decent. Previousuly, I would not get stable connection 20 meters away from house now it works like a charm. I also like no wings/arms unlike old netgear router. The speeds are more noticeable on iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25. It comes with 30 days of Armor trial too. Only con is the price.

I thought I would skip the mesh router and go with the single modern router. I know I'm not making a fair comparison because my old mesh router was the Orbi 760 and I guessing it was 5 or 6 years old. Well it finally died so I went in search for the latest tech and I would it with the RS600 Nighthawk Router. When it states it covers 3000 SF believe them because with this single router it covers my house completely. Finally a nice feature sticking with the Nighthawk/Orbi family is the custom names that I created based upon the MAC addresses with the old Orbi all transferred over to the new Nighthawk. So basically I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Excellent router. Works great, fast, secure and provides outstanding coverage in my 2700 sq ft house. Nighthawk app is very helpful for ease of setup and use. Best Buy was very helpful during the sale also.

My ISP sent me an offer to move to Gig internet for same price I was paying for half the speed, and then Best Buy offered a 15% discount for recycling an old modem or router. So, I gave Best Buy my old modem I hadn't used in several years, combined the 15% with a sale, and got the super-fast Nighthawk BS600 for $300 instead of $500. Now, testing my internet connection speed is fun again because I'm actually hitting well over a Gig down and nearly a Gig up. Goodbye lag and good buy Nighthawk.
