Orbi? Trash fire. Eero? Flaming wreck. Google Nest Wi-Fi? A slow-burning disaster. If it’s not UniFi or AFI-HD, it’s basically a Wi-Fi bonfire that you’re just throwing money into. Orbi: The Burning House of Wi-Fi Speed loss at every hop – You start with 1 Gbps and end up with "high-speed" 150 Mbps. Garbage device roaming – Your phone will cling to the worst possible signal like it’s in a toxic relationship. Firmware updates that set everything on fire – Every other update manages to make things worse instead of better. It’s “plug-and-play,” but mostly just “pray” – You have no real control, and when things break, good luck fixing them. Eero & Google Nest: More Tech Fires to Avoid Eero: Amazon-owned surveillance disguised as a router. Also, if you like being forced to use a subscription for basic features, enjoy the flames. Google Nest Wi-Fi: Great if you love slow speeds, unreliable connections, and the occasional complete Wi-Fi meltdown. TP-Link Deco: Budget trash fire. The Wi-Fi equivalent of a dollar store power strip. Why UniFi (Wired) or AFI-HD (Mesh) is the Only Fireproof Option UniFi (Wired) = Full-speed, pro-grade networking with no nonsense. AFI-HD (Mesh) = The only wireless mesh that won’t burn your patience alive. Total control = No more "mystery Wi-Fi outages" or router crashes. You actually get the speed you pay for. Final Verdict: Put Out the Fires – Get UniFi or AFI-HD If you enjoy wasting money on Wi-Fi systems that turn your internet into a flaming wreck, go ahead and buy Orbi, Eero, or Nest. But if you want flawless, high-speed, no-drama internet, get a wired UniFi setup like me—or at least an AFI-HD. Everything else? A total dumpster inferno.

Whatever number of satellites you select it is a lie. I selected and bought the “4” satellite system. It is really only the router and 3 satellites, the box says 3 satellites. Each item in the box is labeled. 1 router the other 3 say satellite. I talked to store manager, he said the router is also a satellite, its not labeled as a satellite on the back, it says router. Contacted best buy support, they said they get direction from netgear how to advertise. Best buy online support agreed it was misleading and are supposed to be changing their false advetising lies on the website.

I've been a fan of Orbi mesh WiFi systems for a while now. After my old Orbi finally gave out, I decided to upgrade to this 750 series (AX5200) with the 4-pack for even better coverage. Here's why I'm sticking with Orbi: Pros: Seamless coverage: With four satellites, this system blankets my entire home with strong WiFi, even in those hard-to-reach corners where I used to struggle with dead zones. Fast speeds: The WiFi 6 technology delivers noticeably faster speeds than my old Orbi. Streaming, gaming, and video calls are all smooth and lag-free. Easy setup: Just like my previous Orbi, this one was a breeze to set up using the Orbi app. It practically walked me through the entire process. Reliable connection: I haven't experienced any dropped connections or slowdowns since installing this system. It just works! Tri-band technology: The dedicated backhaul band ensures smooth communication between the router and satellites, which is essential for a strong mesh network. Cons: Price: Orbi systems are definitely an investment, but for me, the reliable performance and excellent coverage are worth it. Satellite size: The satellites are a bit larger than some other mesh systems, but they're still relatively unobtrusive. Overall: If you're looking for a reliable, high-performance mesh WiFi system that can handle a large home and multiple devices, I highly recommend the NETGEAR Orbi 750 Series AX5200. It's a worthy upgrade from my previous Orbi and delivers on its promise of seamless, whole-home WiFi.

I bought this to upgrade an older Orbi system to increase speed. I have Fios internet and the combination of that and Orbi made the install difficult. I'm very technical but this could not be completed without assistance from Netgear. What they should have in the app is the ability to say "i want to upgrade my system and keep the same settings". The netgear tech was helpful and after an hour on the phone, i have it all setup. The speed it much faster than the old wifi 4. The only other negative is that i had the Orbi Outdoor Satellite and it is not compatible with the new system. Ill need to set it up as an extender at some point.

First it is supposed to be super simple to set up but is not. The QR code MUST be used to set up or it will FAIL. After I did this, it was fine for 10 minutes and then it stopped, no SSID broadcast, no connecting to it. I tried to reset the router, that did not work. I called Netgear, I was walked through the reset (hold the reset for 1 minute) and then we gave it like 10 minutes to boot up, NOTHING, the tech suggested we reso this for 2 minutes?! Really this is the solution, if 1 minute doesn't work them lets go 2. I finally got him to approve just returning this. Got off the phone, and thought, let me just try holding the reset while I plug it in, held it for a minute after plugging in and was able to get it reset, I then went through the configuration, except this time I SKIPPED the satellites and it has some Armor thing it scans EVERYTHING on your network. I then plugged the satellites in and so far for about 16 hours its been working and stable. Right now, 2 stars because 1. Setup is STUPID, 2. Absolutely NO directions in the box. 3. Tech support was just horrible.

This is my third attempt to use a satellite system for my home WiFi and it appears to be working. It was easy to install but the speed isn’t showing much of an approvement.

Great coverage no dropped signals. I have not had any problems with my WIFI since I bought these orbi 750. No problems !

Solid Wifi-6 improvement on RBR50 system from 8 or 9 years ago that replaces. I do notice that the higher throughput of wifi-6 leads to weaker backhaul links when satellites are deployed to the same locations that wifi5 system's were. The Orbi software (and App) work well and make set-up straightforward. I do wish the authentication pages and password requirements played better with password managers.

These work great especially if you have a large area that needs Wifi. There are at a small apartment complex. These saved me so much money, because one set allowed me to get wifi to all the areas I needed! This is the second set of Orbi I own and love them both!

We have struggled with internet in our large home for several years. Even our cable company could not fix it. Immediately upon the system being hooked up, our issues were solved. Thank you for this wonderful product.

Great coverage, easy setup. It's orbtastic. Much better than the ASUS 86u we were using in a mesh setup.

This is my 2nd setup. I updated to the new technology and the added satellite. No problem anywhere in the house. Highly recommend

We had an eero system for many years and it worked very well. We added multiple devices to our home and needed expanded coverage. I went to update our eero systems and was sold a Orbi system by a Best Buy representative, stating more secure, better coverage for expanded devices. Best Buy did our installation and since we have had multi issues with the network where is drops signal all the time. We went through Geek Squad since we are Total Tech members and they charged $150 to fix the issue when Best Buy recommended the system and also did the installation. Do not go with Orbi, go with eero.

Product is great, our second Netgear mesh system. It was a little more difficult to setup. Wi-Fi issues. But, once we got it working it’s been great with good signal strength inside and outside for our cameras.

I upgraded from am Orbi RB50 to this mesh last Sunday. The setup took a little over 20 minutes. It was longer connecting all my devices than setting up the network!

DID not work at all with my fiber. Have a first generation Orbi and it worked but we wanted to upgrade.. we purchased one and had to return it because they couldn't get it working correctly, so tried another, still no good. Now back to my original Orbi and purchased another satelitte refurbished on line.. WORKS GREAT.
