I've been running this Orbi system for a couple of months now, and the coverage is absolutely excellent. It pushes a strong, consistent Wi-Fi 7 signal throughout the house, easily handling all my connected devices without any dead zones or dropped connections. The installation was another major plus. It was completely hassle-free and straightforward to get the whole mesh network up and running right out of the box. The only real drawback here is the cost—it is definitely on the pricey side. However, if you are willing to invest in reliable, top-tier performance and a painless setup, this system absolutely delivers.

No issues. Works like a charm. Signing up to be a Best Buy member saved me money on this purchase! Win win situation.

This is my second Orbi system. I initially invested in the original RBK50 (router + satellite), later adding a plug-in unit and an outdoor satellite to achieve exceptional coverage across two floors, a basement, and a 1/4-acre property. After relocating my home office to the basement, I had to rely on WiFi to connect my Mac to the internet—something I preferred over committing to a full rewiring project. While speeds in the new location were decent, they dropped from over 800 Mbps to around 300 Mbps, even with a plug-in satellite placed just a few feet from the Mac. I also began noticing that anytime we experienced a brownout or power outage, I had to reboot the original Orbi system—something that hadn't been an issue for years. With my daughter starting a new work-from-home role and our increasing dependence on smart home devices, I decided it was time to upgrade the mesh system. Although it's only been a day or two, I can already say the upgrade has been worthwhile—not just in performance but also in the ease of setup. It took about an hour to fully install, including firmware updates, satellite placement, and ensuring all smart home devices were properly connected. I’m a fan of the new units' appearance and their smaller footprint—though the original system was also fairly sleek. I'm glad I opted for the 3-pack, as I follow a "one per floor" philosophy for mesh coverage. CONS: This system was nearly twice the cost of my original setup, which I bought as an early adopter. The router and satellites feel somewhat flimsy due to their lightweight plastic construction—I was hoping for a more solid, premium feel. It’s disappointing that the black version is a Netgear.com exclusive. I connected both my Mac and a game console directly to a satellite’s Ethernet ports but didn’t see the high speeds I was expecting. That may be a configuration issue, so I’ll need to explore the settings. Lastly, reconnecting the outdoor satellite has been more difficult than the app instructions suggested—something I’ll need to troubleshoot further. PROS: Speeds are excellent—truly lightning-fast WiFi. Coverage is robust, and I’ll update this review once I verify whether it extends outdoors without the dedicated outdoor satellite. Setup was smooth and straightforward. The smaller design makes it easier to place units strategically throughout the home. I plan to update this review as I explore more of the system’s capabilities. I’m especially looking forward to building a dedicated IoT network for smart home devices (which I’ll need to research) and digging into the system’s security features. All in all, I’ve been a loyal and satisfied Orbi user for years, and this upgrade has certainly lived up to expectations.

Hello, I really want to let folks know about this product. First, the internet speed is awesome and very reliable the WIFI reach is great as well. However, I think in the future I may try a different brand because the APP, or the internet interface UI does not work very well. These Units are super expensive as well and I think maybe a different brand may be better.

This system works EXCELLENT!!!! Yes it is pricey but I have 3 levels in my house and this works better than any router I have ever had before. I have the 3 separate pieces. Glad I got it!!

Easy setup, great range, and supports the speed my fiber provides. Priced a little high but worth the spend. Definitely recommend.

I have had orbi systems for as long as I can remember and most recently had the 850 with 2 satellites. Home is 7,000 square feet but I did have some dead zones in the house like a couple bathrooms at the corners and the garage. But other than that 850 was a great product that I didn’t have any complaints with. It got taken out by lighting and thought it was time to upgrade to a WiFi 7 system. Have new iPhones and MacBook Airs in the family and got the 870 on sale for $999 so thought why not. Set up on the 870 was so much easier than I remember the 850 being. And I have no dead spots now. All the bathrooms have WiFi and the garage. The pool area and even the boat dock has WiFi service now. And blazing fast speeds on iPhone 17 pro max and MacBook Air compared to what I was getting on the 850. I only have gig service on cable but was getting 1.2 consistently.

The routers are really fast and reliable. If you are looking for a fast router this is the one.

Very happy with our Orbi 870. Upgrade from Nest Wifi Pro that just could not handle the multiple Zoom calls and internet gaming systems at once. Orbi is not the cheapest but wifi is like air in my house, so it has to work all the time and without fail or pause. The 870 is quite robust and easily covers the three levels of my home.

Greta product, works soooo much better than the Linksys that randomly kept saying incorrect password for connected devices. Only downside of the Orbi is it's size, it's quite large.

I had this system up and running in less than 30 minutes and have had no issues. It handles multiple users and devices with ease.

This mesh system fixed all the dead zones in my large home. Setup was simple, and I love that each satellite has Ethernet ports for wired devices. Totally worth the upgrade!

Super easy set up and super consistent fast speeds. The satellites helped cover areas that my single router could not.

These are pure garbage. I replaced an old velop mesh router with this and regretted it. It worked ok for 2 months. Then the tech support expried. They wanted $180 to support this device. Despite having an active hardware warranty. They would talk to me. Lots of devices wouldnt connect. The range got really weak. Then finally bandwidth was at about 30mb no matter what when i had 1gb at the modem. Ultimately the company didnt help and i returned it to best buy and got a deco which was instantly better. Best buy should pull this product.

Took me a bit to set this up given my limited tech ability. But now that it is set up it seems to be working great.
