Customer Ratings & Reviews

Expensive, not worth the price of entry for many. These routers/mesh systems shouldn't be so expensive and we shouldn't be supporting companies who sell their items at exorbitant prices like this. However, if price doesn't bother you or you can find a good deal for a discounted price then I would say it might be worth it - depends on your situation. This is currently the best Wifi 7 Mesh System on thr market. I was able to secure a good deal on this item and did not pay anywhere near full price. So, I'm still giving it five stars because the product itself is excellent. I will finish my review by stating the obvious, Wi-Fi 7 still hasn't matured anywhere near the point of usefulness. So if you can find a good Wi-Fi 6E router or mesh system that may be a better bet than paying this much money for a Wi-Fi 7 system when most devices do not even support Wi-Fi 7 yet. Ultimately the choice is yours to make.

This is the best Mesh system out there. I get full 5gb/sec in Speedtest from my laptop that’s connected through the 10gig port. So I’m getting every bit of speed possible with Fios. The older 960 was limited to 2.5gb/sec.

Netgear is a Company that I have been owning since I was eight years old one of the best companies in the market make the best product ever

This is the #1 Wifi 7. you will get maximum speed if you don't really care using OVPN (open VPN). the internet speed is amazing and it will be max out to you data plan

I purchased all my stuff from Bestbuy, however unfortunately I was unable to get this one from here because it was not available at my local store when I checked, and I needed it right away. With this router, I have seen speeds of up to 2,063 Mbps with my Pixel 9 Pro XL over Wi-Fi, which is absolutely crazy and really impressive. I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw that on the speed test. (See attached screenshots). This is my third Orbi system (Started with Orbi RBK50 years ago). So far this has been the greatest experience ever with an Orbi. Specially, the initial setup was always a little difficult, not with this 970. Also, with the other ones I always purchased them right away after release, and they always had some firmware issues that I had to deal with for a while until Netgear fixed them. However, this time I have not experienced any issues with my connection either. It's been very stable. I have over 40 devices connected to my network, that includes IoT devices such as Cameras, Smart Lights and door locks and so on, plus several laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones, no issues for any of these connecting, so very happy so far. Now, the only two negatives I have experienced so far are the following: For some reason, my Meta Quest 3 VR Headset cannot connect to the 6GHz band for some reason. Most of the time it connects to the 5GHz one, but this is probably a limitation with the Quest 3 as it runs a version of Android that doesn't officially support Wi-Fi7 I believe, hopefully Meta updates and fixes this soon. The other thing I dislike is that this Orbi runs VERY hot. I live in Florida, and we already have more than enough heat over here. More devices adding to the furnace that my room can become during hot summers (even with the AC on 24/7 is not ideal) Other than that, if you can afford this without having to sell your soul, then go for it. However, this might be overkill for probably %60 of people out there. I do need it because I work from home and want to take full advantage of my fiber service. If something changes, or I start to experience issues, I'll be sure to update this review.

Recently upgraded my internet speed to 1GB and need a new router to support it. I have no regrets purchasing this Netgear router. It was very easy to install and get up an running. I went from 150MB download to about 900MB now (and that is with a couple dozen devices connecting to it) I've had it for about a month now with no issues. The Orbi app is easy to use, although the one downside is it does pop a lot of alerts / warnings that are not easy to decipher or where the alert is coming from and how to really fix it. But so far I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.

Purchased this due to getting poor WiFi signal and it increased WiFi significantly and very easy set up and has been great since day one of purchase I couldn’t be happier with this purchase

This product is incredible, of the best quality that you can buy, the internet is super stable, it has no performance drops, it covers the whole house with solvency. Incredible this product and the best buy service. I recommend this product to buy it directly with best buy. The best store, with the best customer service. 10/20

The NETGEAR Orbi 970 Series BE27000 Quad-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 7 System has been an absolute game-changer for my home network. From the moment I set it up, I noticed a significant improvement in both coverage and speed throughout my house. The setup process was straightforward, and the Orbi app made it easy to get everything up and running quickly. With the quad-band technology, I experience lightning-fast internet speeds, even with multiple devices connected simultaneously. The mesh system provides seamless coverage, eliminating any dead zones in my home. The design is sleek and modern, blending in perfectly with my home decor. Overall, this Wi-Fi system is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their home network. The Orbi 970 Series delivers on its promises and then some. Highly recommend!

Wanted to upgrade to take full advantage of my new fiber optic internet service and this router/mesh does not disappoint. Every device wIth atleast WiFi 6e on my large 3600 square foot property gets the full 1 gb internet speed. I even have a security camera nearly a full 200 yards from the house down the driveway that is covered. This IS the best router and mesh system money can buy. The wireless backhaul is as fast as the ethernet backhaul on my old Amplifi Alien mesh network because it uses a proprietor 6ghz WiFi 7 channel just for the connection between mesh points. Very, very good. So even if you dont have any WiFi 7 devices yet, you WILL benefit when using the mesh.

This is bleeding edge technology for any home that needs an upgrade from wifi 5 or even wifi 6. The ease of use is there to make this a simple solution for any home with more than 40 devices connected together. While internet speed from your ISP is inportant, this is a solution for those who want a fast and relaibel internet connection for all devices. Ths cost is high, as the technology is not inexpensive to produce a router mesh sustem that maintains the connection between access points with a wireless connection that rivals a wired (ethernet) one. Bottom line: its a future proof system for those who want to get ahead and not have to worry about their hone internet becoming outdated or obsolete for the next several years.

I recently had the pleasure of integrating the NETGEAR Orbi 970 Series into my home, and it has been nothing short of a game-changer. This is such a life savor worth every penny we got rid of the internet and got the home internet through out T-Mobile phone company and then got these for extended help wow great our internet works so much faster for cheaper monthly payments so in the long run it’ll save money I’m sure

The Orbi 970 Wi-Fi 7 System lives up to the promises in its specifications. The range and power are absolutely excellent and the system allows me to take advantage of my high-bandwidth Internet connection. Installation using the recommended Orbi app is extremely easy. Just follow the prompts from the app.

I upgraded my current Netgear Gaming wifi router XR700 to this Netgear Orbi 970 Teo pack and W9W, what a difference. Had a slight issue trying to pair satellite to main router and called Netgear support who patiently guided me in resolving issue. Great product support.

I bought the router and 1 point set. This is amazing, the coverage it provides is fantastic. I was able to move my smart bird feeder away from home and get more bird traffic. I like the armor as well but I know I need to spend more time to review its reviews to understand it better. I wish there was an option to pick and choose which device to connect with router and which one to the point. Over all, this is amazing product.

After using Google Wifi Mesh for years, I chose to go with something different that actually had a better plan for future wifi standards and support. Almost every single review pointed out the Orbi 970 Series as the best (and most expensive) wifi mesh. For me this is absolutely true and completely blows almost all others competition-wise out of the water. It's quad-band set up makes this work flawlessly. Two of these easily covers a two story 2600 sq ft home with no issues. This includes outside coverage in the yard, as well! All that said, it is extremely expensive. However, it's completely worth the price and is an exceptionally worthwhile investment.

Great mesh system with good range. I have had no problems so far. Easy setup. You can’t go wrong with Netgear who make great products.

The speed of the mesh network is amazing. And the ease of setup was nice. I do wish they would link with my other Orbi mesh network that is the WiFi 6E version.

Big improvement over my previous mesh system. Pricey upgrade for sure but if you can afford it's worth it.
