This pair of Nikon binoculars has proved to be very useful for checking out the interesting wildlife in our neighborhood. The construction of the binoculars are very durable and the optics are working as advertised. I am no expert at judging binoculars, but this pair has a nice field of view and makes it easy to track moving objects such as hawks or Banner Planes. When I was investigating binoculars before the purchase, it was recommended to use the 8X for better stability. Even with these 8X, you need a steady hand. 10 X would obviously be nice for closer viewing, but may be difficult for moving objects.

A huge step up from my previous $100 pair of Nikons. The 10x is really nice for bird watching, and the view is very sharp. There is some chromatic aberration in bright light, but it does really well in low light situations. The small size is also nice for carrying along with my telephoto lens and camera.

Had these out on the shooting range, fantastic performance ! They have a much wider field of view and better optics than most other binoculars I've used. Very durable as well.

These binoculars are really well made, sturdy, ease of use as well. They also come with a case and strap. The magnification is sharp, and very good value for the price. Ive owned Nikon scopes and binoculars before, and always been really happy with the quality.

I purchased it for my brother and he loves it. He’s in the military so I figured to purchase this baby for him for hunting trips and when he goes to the gun range. He uses it mostly to watch his kids play soccer on the field while all the parents sit in the car due to Covid and watch from the car. He tells me that he can almost make out what the referees are saying by from afar by using his binoculars since the parents are not allowed on the field because the binoculars are so sharp and clear. I told him not to put my name in the matter the day he starts spying on his kids on dates. Once his kids catches him with the binoculars… I told him let’s put it this way, I DIDN’T GET THEM FOR YOU! Their favorite aunty refuses to be dragged into you getting caught. Lol the end.

My husband and I are planning a safari next year and based upon the recommendations of many safari operators, this pair of binoculars came high recommended. When I compared them to other brands and different powers, this one was just right. Not too heavy and easy to use. I wear glasses so the adjustable eye pieces fit both of us well. I also like the attached lens covers, you can't loose them and you don't need to keep track of them. A great feature.

I did al lot of research before buying the Nikon Monarch 5 binoculars. I waited a year for the price to drop. It didn't so I bought them anyway. I wasn't disappointed. Comfortable, easy to use and adjust, and amazing clarity.

Bought this for my wife for the Christmas Bird Count, Read a lot of reviews and this seemed the best quality image and handling for my price limit. They have a sharp image across a reasonably wide field of view. I think they are exactly what we hoped for and the bank was not broken.

Bought these as a gift for my boyfriend, an avid bird watcher. He absolutely loves them and says they're the best binocs he's ever used for birding. Get these and you won't be disappointed.

Most bird watching or outdoor enthusiasts know the high quality and performance of Nikon Monarch's. For those that may not, Nikon Monarch's are the very best binocular for the price available anywhere. To get slightly better performance would cost 2 to 3 times more, and the difference is negligible. Paying a little less for some new entrant or off brand isn't a wise choice in my opinion either. These will last a lifetime with proper care.

Used these after my Celestrons broke for the third time. I was a bit leery about going from a 50mm objective to a 42mm, but I shouldn't have been - these are much brighter and provide a better field of view. I've used them at night to see deep into the woods far better than I could with my naked eye, and spent a week spotting wildlife with them in Central America - I would highly recommend.

Best binoculars that I have bought so far. Image quality is superior to the pair of cannon binoculars I own. Even without image stabilization its crystal clear.

I owned a pair years ago but nothing compares to the quality that’s out there now. These are so bright and vivid and for being a 10x30 there is minimal shake which is great for me because I shake a little. Definitely recommend these to anyone that is thinking about getting a pair.

Great mid level binocular. Between this and the Monarch 5, I would say there is about a 10% increase in optical clarity. But the big difference is the field of view. The Monarch 7 has a much wider field of view, so you feel like you are looking through a window rather than through a set of binoculars. If that doesn't matter to you, then the Monarch 5 would suit you just fine. Lastly, a plug for the ProStaff line as well, which is also excellent, but doesn't have quite the optical clarity or brightness of the Monarch line, especially at the edges of the image. If all you are doing is looking at small objects during bright sun, I would say you could save some money and get the ProStaff. But if you want the best image quality and the widest field of view, go for the Monarch 7 if you can afford it.

We researched a long time hoping to pick the right binoculars for our birdwatching past time. Many reviewers recommended the Nikon Monarch 5's. We have been very happy with these. They are much better than the inexpensive binoculars we had before. Wish we had bought these much sooner than we did.
