Love this Ninja product. If you are contemplating this—just get it. It’s super easy to use and very versatile compared to my previous ninja foodie. I didn’t think I’d use the griddle but i do. I love the controls on this as well.

This thing is awesome. I use it almost everyday, I’ve made bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes with the griddle function. Air fried chicken, came out crispy and juicy. Grilled pork chops, burgers, strip steak, everything came out perfect. The best part is it’s so easy to clean, hot water rinse and then into the dishwasher.

This is the perfect machine that I use almost eveyday. I’ve tried all settings besids the dehydration.

Awesome! Product makes grilling griddling air frying a breeze. If I had one complaint it would be that ninja products are a little on the loud side but that's it.

Excellent I'm so happy to have ninja and I'm so happy how food looks great when i make on ninja grill.

So far I am very happy with my purchase. I live in an apartment and unable to grill outdoors but that has all changed now thanks to the new Ninja Grill 7 in 1. This is the latest model and it has open lid cooking for the bbq griddle and grilling. If you follow the great cookbook that comes with the grill you’ll do fine!

The grill is so convenient! I’ve used it for chicken wings and steak and it been amazing!

I've got a few pics of what cooked tonight. I should have taken pics from past couple days of cooking too but duct think of it then. We've made burgers, tacos, pancake and sweet potato fries in addition to the pictures. I forgot to take frozen chicken from freezer to fridge before work this morning. Figured, I'd still try to cook it frozen and wow, it came out cooked and great tasting. I also like that the little screen tells you, it's preheating, timev to add food and when it's done. This has worked pretty quickly as well, even after waiting to preheat to add food. There's a cheatsheet about his to cook certain types of food and when the lid should stay open and when to close lid. This is a great addition to our kitchen and I think we'll be using it regularly.

The Ninja - Foodi XL Pro Indoor 7-in-1 Grill & Griddle can seemingly do it all. From grilling steaks, cooking burgers, baking a cake, to cooking your Sunday breakfast, it is really impressive how much you can do with this device. I have enjoyed my time with the grill & griddle. I should say up front that I received the Ninja - Foodi XL Pro Indoor 7-in-1 Grill & Griddle for purposes of providing a fair and unbiased review. I always enjoy reviewing Ninja products as I know I am going to eat well for my days of testing. And the Ninja - Foodi XL Pro Indoor 7-in-1 Grill & Griddle was no exception. If you are looking for a portable cooktop with many functions, the Foodi XL Pro is easy to recommend. The Foodi XL Pro comes with an air fryer basket, griddle, the powered grill grate, and the base unit. There is no cooking thermometer included in this model and there is no option to hook one up that I could see. For my steaks, I used an external thermometer to compare internal temps with recommended cook settings and times. There is a baking option with the Foodi XL, but if you want a baking pan, you'll have to buy that separately. Cooking space was more than adequate. You can fit a full bag of chicken strips in the air fryer basket. You can fit four big burgers on the griddle. And I could fit several steaks on the grill. Unfortunately, cooking using the powered grill grate wasn't a perfect experience for me. The grate gets hot enough, but I found that the grill grate had too much of a slope. Steaks kept trying to slide off the cooking surface and into the grease trap. This could be a problem that rectifies itself as I use the unit more, but it was annoying to have to constantly adjust the steaks and keep them from sliding. The grill grate is pretty slick and combined with the slope, I worry a lot of items will want to slide off. Having said that, the steaks still came out well and they tasted good. It was just annoying having to constantly adjust them. Using the griddle and air fryer basket were simple. The griddle and air fryer basket fit on top of the powered grill grate. One of the big additions with this device was the ability to cook with the lid open. Again, I really liked the ability to use this device as an open griddle. It made cooking hamburgers and breakfast food a breeze. Cooking with the Foodi XL Pro was easy thanks in part to the intuitive controls. If you can use a stove top, you can use a Ninja Foodi. The dial based controls made running the grill relatively simple. Cleanup can take a bit of time. There is no grill brush. The gas powered grill grate, air fryer basket, and griddle are dishwasher safe, but be prepared that they will take up quite a lot of room in your dishwasher. And cooking meats with the lid down will lead to splatter on the inside of the unit. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning out the top of the unit. I'm not sure how it could be simpler, but I wish it were a bit easier to clean the inside of the unit. My wife and I recently embarked on a subscription grocery plan. We're looking forward to using the Ninja Foodi XL to cook all sorts of new meal items over the coming weeks. It will also make for an additional cook top for many Christmas dishes. I wish the grill wasn't quite as sloped and that cleanup were a bit easier, but I see my wife and I using this grill for many meals to come. In terms of functions and ease of use, I think the Foodi XL Pro Indoor 7-in-1 Grill & Griddle is a winner.

Griddle, grill, and airfryer in one, I like it. It is listed as XL, and the whole thing is pretty big, but you’re not putting more than 4 of most items on there at a time. So far I have really enjoyed cooking with this Ninja Foodi because it literally cooks from all sides. Using the griddle in particular has a nice even surface of heat and then closing the lid applies the air fryer heat to the top making things cook even quicker. I haven’t had such a fluffy yet melted grilled ham and cheese like this in forever. Compared to my old griddle, there hasn’t been just a hot line around the surface while the middle partially cooks. The air fryer basket does get a little more crispy around the edges than the rest of it, but this can be avoided by keeping items mixed during the cycle. The timer even alerts you halfway to flip food. The only downside so far has been the clean-up. Not only are you getting grease on the cooking surfaces, but all up in the lid and the back side where the hinge is. At least the grill, griddle and basket are easily removed and are dishwasher safe. The griddle does have handles and a spout for pouring, but kind of liked how my other griddle had a hole where I could just push the grease. This does allow for more liquid cooking though, as the griddle has some depth to it. Overall, if you like to have a little diversity in your cooking options for a countertop grill, griddle or air-fryer, this is a great combo. The cooking surfaces provide even heating and you can close the lid to crisp from the top. It just takes up a good bit of space.

I was so excited to get this Ninja Foodi 7 n 1 xl pro grill griddle. I had been using an earlier Ninja Grill but really wanted the griddle function. My husband and I are retired and most mornings I fix a “farm” style breakfast with fried eggs, or pancakes and bacon. The griddle function will be used several days a week and bonus I get rid of the huge old griddle that I hated dragging out to do my pancakes, and I free up more space! I ordered the 7-1 knowing that is a very heavy appliance, as are most of the Ninjas because they are so well made, but we already had a permanent place for it. I love having it readily available to cook anytime. I opened the box, cleaned all the pieces and was ready to start cooking. There is a splatter screen to insert in the top to protect the upper heat elements. Then the grill grate fits in the bottom. Unlike my previous grill, this one cooks from top and bottom. The griddle base has a slope and a channel to collect juices. Next the all important griddle plate fits on top of the grill. One side of the bottom sits a bit higher to give a level surface allowing the griddle to function. Finally, there is an air fry basket. One of my favorite features that all of these pieces store inside the appliance. The 7 functions are griddle, grill, air-fry, broil, roast, bake and dehydrate. My first thing to cook was fried eggs, easy over and bacon. I inserted the splatter screen and placed the griddle on the grill plate. I pressed the power on, selected the griddle function, temp, time and pressed start. Using the griddle function allows you to cook with the lid up so you have easy access to the food to flip. The Ninja preheats to the temp you select, then beeps and tells you to add food. At mid point, the unit beeps and tells you to flip the food. When you open the lid to flip the food, the timer pauses and starts counting again when you close the lid. There is a cookbook included and in the back are charts with recommended times and temps for most foods you might cook for each function. I often use these as a starting point. This unit does not come with the thermometer probe but I have an instant read digital thermometer to use if needed. Our first breakfast with eggs and bacon griddled was perfect. I’ve since cooked beautiful pancakes. Tonight we had air fryer chicken breast wrapped in bacon with thinly sliced potatoes all cooked together in the large basket. All these things only take minutes to cook. Tomorrow night we will have grilled pork chops. All of the Ninja pieces are dishwasher safe, including the bottom grill plate with heating elements. Clean up is great and no smoke! I’m not sure what more you could want from a single appliance that sits on a counter. I’ve never tried baking or roasting but I plan to try it. Who knows, my husband is thinking about dehydrating some apples. We are loving our Ninja Foodi XL Pro 7 n 1. If you have one of these, you’ll wonder why you need the stove. Maybe I can I use it to store some more great Ninja products!

Cooking indoors is becoming more and more fun lately. There are a lot of different products on the market that has made things easier and better over the years. The Ninja Foodi Pro XL is one amazing 7 in 1 device. You can Bake, Roast, Air Fry, Grill & Griddle, BBQ, Broil, and Dehydrate with it. There are two attachments that help make a lot of it happen and that is the 12” flat top Griddle plate and the 4 qt Air Fry basket. I haven’t had much time to cook a lot with it, but I have used the Griddle plate to make some French toast and bacon and the grill to cook up some burgers. I plan on using the Air Fryer to make some wings tonight though and I am a bit worried that the deep channels in the fryer basked will collect oil, that seems to be an oversite on the design, so if you desire a completely oil free experience for wings, you might want to look elsewhere. The design of the Foodi Pro XL allows for open hood cooking as well as closed hood. I prefer the open hook so you can see how your food is doing and not have to guess. There has been no smoke so far from the device as I have been cooking and according to Ninja, it is due to the smoke control system in place that consists of using the temperature-controlled grill grate, splatter shield and the cool-air zone design of the unit. I am impressed with that feature since I tend to make a lot of smoke when I cook! The unit’s size is big and may take up a good portion of your counter space, but considering all that it can do, it is well worth the space it uses. Clean up of the plates is easy thanks to the non-stick coating. Be sure to not use any hard utensils on it or they can scratch, use silicone or plastic only. You should also clean the spatter shield on the top inside of the unit each time to keep it clean. My main gripe with the cleaning is the inside of the lid, there are a lot of nooks and crannies up in there and I am sure over time they will get caked on and look dirty, hopefully that will not affect the unit’s functionality.
