A: I thought the same thing when I read your question so thought I'd contribute. I own 5 of their frames. The oldest being 10+ years old and requires manual loading of images. The newer frames are easier to use with wifi capabilities. I love them. All frames continue to work perfectly. Was researching this 10 inch model when I saw your question. Highly recommend. Very nice to send pictures straight to individual frames or all frames just from my phone or computer. The image quality is great and frame has nice features like turn on based on movement. The nest feature in my opinion is multiple people can share to the same frame. Hope this helps. FYI I Did Not receive this frame free in exchange for a good review. Paid hard cash for all frames. lololol
A: On a Nixplay frame, yes as long as your stepdad's nephew has internet access - send him an invite from the app and he can share pictures easy peasy
Q: Does it run on batteries or plugged in to an outlet? If it's plugged in, how long is the cord?
A: The frames have to be plugged in because they are not battery operated. The cord is approximately 150cm in length.
A: it needs wifi but you can upload them at your house and return it. Or if you have wifi hot spot on your phone you can upload them by connecting the device to your phone at their house and downloading them
Q: Can I down load pictures from a flash drive to the digital photo frame?
A: Yes. There is a USB port that can be used to upload media.
Q: Can this photo frame play videos as well?
A: Yes, if you upload it using the USB port, you can connect with a junk drive.
Q: Does it have sounds and voices
